I think the problem is the phone u use. I have the same problem on my samsung galaxy A70, tested this on a one plus 6 and it does not ask for an app and it works immediately as in the video. So i think on older phone models it doesnt work because the bluethooth is outdated? Idk but that is my conclusion
I successfully paired my x-box controller with my android but whenever I try to use a game the buttons on the controller will continue to perform shortkeys for the phone itself (i.e. pressing select doesn't press select in the game, it actually backs you out of whatever app you're in). Is there anyway to turn off these shortkeys for the phone?

Recently I've used classic boy pro and Snes9x without issue with my controller but I'm not certain how the problems with the buttons no longer occur. All I really remember is that some emulators have more controller options which might make a difference.

I'm here to play through SF4CE Android on my phone. I (About 3 years ago.) downloaded Street Fighter first but I kinda put it on the back burner while I reacquainted with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which was downloaded the next day. Anyway 😅 Thanks! Now I remember what to do.
I have an xbox one series x controller but it seems like the other buttons arent working anymore except for the sticks and trigger buttons. One time it connected then after a few minutes it vibrated for 10 seconds and died then it wouldn't pair again. Any idea why?
@@GrimmTheEngineer yeah go ahead and break your controller, u can also get a rock to break it to make it easier. Or i like to just smash it agianst the wall and see how many holes i can make untill it breaks. Which ever your prefer
