Thank you for such a nice detailed video. I am trying to make a swing coat out of a kimono pattern, and knew I had to slash it, but I couldn't figure out how to get it even at the top of the slash. The slash across the top was what I needed. I just didn't know whether to cut toward the center back, which is on the fold. I think I have got it now, and can go ahead and cut out the pattern. You have given me the confidence I needed. Thanks again.
Simple and to the point. I like the fact that the camara catches all of the tracing when you are making the drawing of the skirt. I saw other videos, but the bottom portion was not visible and I would get so confused. The audio is a bit low, but xan be made out. Ty!
I’ve been doing this the hard way. Starting from fitted and slashing makes much more sense. Plus the pattern will be more symmetrical without all the fiddling. Thanks! (FYI, I love your accent!)
Thanks for this eye opening tutorial, pls my question is, will I trim off the lace edge if iam to use lace fabric and later join it when sewing it,or there's another method in maintain the lace edge without trimming it out pls I need your response, thanks
I wanted to ask if you calculated the zipper allowance before sharing the back into two. I pray you answer me bcos I am sewing it today. Thanks once again fir being so simple in your tutorials. 😊❤❤❤
The method is easy but please help us to start with you at the beginning of the drafting bcs am confused if you first make straight skirt block before the slash and spread
Ma pls , what's the difference with using free hand to achieve your fullness and splash and spread? Because I think I can achieve this same fullness with free hand. Please reply ma
I'm watching for the first time Pls are we folding d fabric into 2 My second question is how do we go about d zipper allowance and to slash if d fabric or paper is folding into are we going to open it before d slash Thanks I'm waiting for the answer
I really don't understand your question my dear, maybe you have to rephrase it. But might be kind of confusing for you if you are used to free hand fashion, this is strictly pattern method and everything done here is not achievable directly on fabric, it can only be done on pattern paper and then, place it on your fabric to cut. If you look closely my back skirt already has a zip allowance. And you need to place your centre front on fold on your fabric. I hope I am able to clear a little confusion, let me know if you need more clarification
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial, so easy and straight to the point.
I'm happy to
Im so Grateful for you my lady for demonstrating the Slash and Spread method and sharing with us , God Bless Your Heart Always
