FINALLY found a straight to the point video on how to punch needle. Thank you!!
I was just thinking the same...
Hi same profile picture person!
@@lightofeyezz as above, so below :) (:
Was the pun intended?
❤
I don't even do embroidery but this video was soothing
Same, this video was super interesting!
This basically carpet making!
But no carpet gun
Rug hooking but without a hook!
i finally found a video that has a name for this tool! i remember several years ago going to the art store and asking them if they had one of those “embroidery needles that you stab through the material and it automatically puts in a stitch…” they looked at me crazy… now i know to look for a “punch needle!” i can finally hyper focus for a few weeks (and then inevitably forget about and/or give up) on a new style of arts+crafts that i’ve wanted to try for years!! thank you 🥰💖
Some people call it magic needle
haha I do the same thing with new arts/crafts. I say that my hobby is just collecting new hobbies!
I like to refer to it as my "stabric work", or "cave embroidery" 🥹
😊😊@@leona5123
"hyper focusing for a few weeks" I felt that 😆
My grandma was so excited to showed me how this needle worked when she got one for the first time 15 years ago, and I remember thinking it was awesome, almost like magic! (I was 8-10) I miss my abuelita so much ❤ thank you for reminding me how they work!
It sounds like she was such sweet person!! :)) thank you for sharing! ❤
Nicely done. I haven't had my punch needle out in a long time. I'm hoping to get some projects done this winter.
you make it look so easy but i know that must’ve taken a lot of skill and practice! i’m a beginner but this video really helped me. thanks!!
Thank you for the tips. I'm a beginner and I document every improvement each day.
I'm a total beginner may I ask if you can do the funky stitched if you want it like that. And which is the front and which is the back? I just found this tool in my grannies stuff and also a latch hook needle but I kinda like the funky blobby look and would like to make a strange rug with my old scraps. Thanks
That "funky" was the best =o
😂 👆
I replayed it 100times
This is the best Punch Needle tutorial I've seen. Straight to the point 😊
Excuse the pun 😂😂
Another wool technique to add to my list 😊 I can already knit sew and crochet I have yet to learn macrame, needle point, and now this which I didn’t know was a thing it’s a massive needle point
Do you want to start punc-

This is the first time I've seen and heard of a punch needle. And honestly, it looks so satisfying to do.
I for some reason have a punch needle in my desk drawer so i think it’d be fun to take it out again!
As a beginning person who can function it these are the most important tips she can give
Never saw this before. So beautiful. Looks like a wonderful hobby.
I think the funky stitches look so cool. I might try that actually lol
Thanks ma'am I tried for 3 hours how to use punching needle but I watched ur this video I have done now I can use punching needle ❤thanks ma'am i learnd from ur video.❤
You just randomly showed up in my recommendations and I'm glad
I remember doing this as a class activity in elementary. I had so much fun with it that I did three 😂 I turned in 1 and kept 2 for myself. I remember making Tweety Bird but forgot what the others were.
I bought a kit years ago tried once got overwhelmed but I want to try again now thanks!
This is why I love someone like you and yt because they don't ask us to read caption 😔
It was my assignment in my college to make a rug, handmade, and i used the same tool as it was a requirement.. its not so simple to do it obviously it takes a lot of time and effort but the end result is worth it all💕 and my loops were 1 inch.. It took me 2 months to complete that rug and after completing, I was so happy because iy was so beautiful ❤️ infact I've also uploaded a video on Instagram making it✨ This technique is amazing 😍 and once you're comfortable and used to this tool its much easier to do it but still not easy 🤧
I LOVED punch needle works, i remember my school, well, for our PE(our PE consisted od art related topics), hired a guy to teach the whole class about punchneedle embroidery and even gave us an activity to make our own mats with the cutest designs! And gave us our own small punch needles made from bamboo! I sadly lost that punch needle and searched for it far and wide with no luck :")) hopefully ill get to making punch needle embroidery/art soon this is such a good childhood memory for me
You had art instead of physical education?
@@DerpDevilDD ah, our P.E is sort of a mix of art and physical education so it's either we learn about a bit of art and music and sometimes it would be physical education
@@noxygalaxia bummer
i've tried both knitting and embroidery but this looks so easy and fun! (i gave up on both because it took wayy to long to do simple stuff and i was always forgetting how to do certain details.)
Thank you! I just got mie in the mail and have been wanting to try something new but wanted to watch some videos on how before i actually do it ☺️ thank you so much for a straight to the point video and explained very well ❤️
My mother hasn't met a fiber craft she hasn't liked. So i have a lot of " I want to try this craft" as a result.
At times i have to remind myself: i don't have the space or the focus to get into this, though it looks like fun.
I didn't even know this thing existed
Now I want to try! 💗
OH i did this when i was in kindergarten, it was so fun..
I don't do any kind of stitching but your tips are so to the point!!

I remember my mom mentioned that she used to do this before, I remember an old piece she did before any of my siblings were born. It was a ballerina and there were two more that my brain can't recall because its been ages since I saw those, I wonder where those masterpieces are placed now.
I’ve never seen this type of needle before 😮
Thank you. Works for me. Now i am experet . Thank you
Thank you!!! Finally now I know how to punch needle only in a few seconds 😳
I want to try this so bad!!
Very helpful. Thank you 😄

My great grandmother taught me to embroider as a child this looks even harder
This is so neat! 🤩 Ive never heard of this.

Nicely done ✔ 👏 👍 👌
Thank you 😊 💓 ☺ 💗
Very helpful! Now if I can just figure out my punch needle. It has a nut on it that’s supposed to tighten the needle, but it doesn’t.
Tq so much you said clearly
Omg we used to do these with my freinds in middle school🙂...
great, now i want to buy everything i need for this, only to stop doing it in two to five weeks because i have ADHD and hyperfixate on new hobbies regularly
Yes these are the basics
I have this needle and damn the instruction i got was very confusing. Ill try again now!
That was a great explanation thank you❤!
Thank you so much!!! 🫶🏼🧸
Must try punch needle next. Still got so many kits to do
HEY!! i saw one of those today! I knew ive seen it before
I bought one years ago but could never get it to work correctly. I’ll have to give it another try.
can we use cross stitch fabric here? i think it's more stiff than the monks cloth. but have you tried it?
Was just asking the same, cause I have a lot of cross stitch fabric left and want to try it today
Commenting to come back later
I have been wanting to buy this for a long time but you have explained it very well and now I am determined not to buy it.
The reason for not buying is that I didn't understand the bottom layer of the fabric and how it was being staged underneath.
It's awesome ❤ but What type of thread & clothe material required?
Thank you! You can punch with all kinds of yarn, but the cloth is very important. The best cloth to start with is monk's cloth.
Omg i want to try this 😍 sadly no money 😂😂😂
"do you wanna start punching?"
Yes
Awesome😍
Thank you
Thank you!it is helpfull to use punch needle. Adn if you can ,please tell us the type of textile to use.
We did this in elementary school and was so excited to make something but the teacher didnt really teach it a lot so in the end I had no idea what I was doing😭
Them- “Do you want to learn how to”
Me- “YESSSSSSSS SHOW MEEEE”
i think i like those funky ones
Thank you 🎉
I have the yarn and needle punching pen ig but I can’t find the canvas thingy any suggestions?
You should order some
First time I've ever heard of punch stitching! I enjoy cross stitch but I have chronic pain conditions that mean I can't do it for long. This looks like it would be slightly easier for poor mobility.
I Crochet and have trouble sewing eyes right on the yarn for amigurumi dolls. I was thinking of usingbthebpunch tool to make eyes on fabric than cut put and sew the eyes onto the doll. Is that possible or dies this yarn just pull out after a while, seems not secured.
Thanks!
