With this video I want to help you make a decision about which punch needle is best for you. There are 7 things to consider before getting one for yourself. I have quite a few needles in my own collection, like the Oxford needles, the lavor needles and also the needles from Rico Design.

I had a Rico style that broke just yesterday and I bought it in 2015 lasted very long in my opinion. But I just got a new punch needle I got the Laver one free by winning an Amazon gift card and I am very happy with it 😊

Thank you. I received the blue plastic one in a nationally sold kit and it didn't even last the whole project. The spring kept popping the needle out of the correct height. It was very annoying but it didn't dismay my new love for the craft

i have 2 oxford needles in regualr and fine. I adjust the length of the loops by siiding a very small rubber washer over the needle.

For the Oxford needle, I read somewhere that you can just use IV tubing. So buy a long one, and then have two or three different lengths of tubing at your desired length to insert over the needle when needed. If you could arrive at a not too busy time, your local ER may be willing to grab you some, and may even give you a Cavi wipe, alcohol wipe or whatever to give it a little clean. Failing that, the alcohol hand-sanitizer as you walk out the door would work, as would dish soap. I’m not sure what you could use if you didn’t use IV tubing, but there’s surely other things out there.

Dankjewel! Heel nuttige info👌 Wel duur de Oxford punch naalden maar duidelijk hun prijs wel waard. Handig dat je bij deze geen hulpmiddel nodig hebt om je draad erdoor te krijgen. Zelf maak ik kleding maar lijkt me wel leuk om bijvoorbeeld een (jeans) jasje/broek en andere ermee op te smukken. Al moet ik nog wel uitzoeken hoe.. Helemaal nieuw hierin.😉
Graag gedaan! Je kan niet direct in je broek of jasje punchen. Je hebt er een speciale stof voor nodig. Maar je kan wel een soort patch maken, die je vervolgens op je kleding naait of plakt.
@@studioversie bedankt voor je antwoord.☺ Lijkt me wel leuk om patches te maken en andere leuke projecten. Wat onderzoeken gedaan rond het punchen en ondertussen zit ik te wachten op één van jou leuke punch projecten .. Spannend! Grtjs.

What i have trouble with is to match the fabric to go with the wool. . I have monks cloth Aida cliche and linen like fabric and none seem to work any tips of the material to use
I recommend watching my video on fabrics here on my channel. There I explain which fabric is suitable with which weight yarn.
I usually love your videos. There isn’t much detail in the needles you are discussing. Might I suggest pointing the camera down and having the items on a flat surface and closer image, we are seeing mostly background, then your face, then the needles you are talking about are being waved around and had to see. As someone who has never tried this hobby, I cant see what you are are suggesting.

I dare say, someone prepared to buy all new materials for a temporary hobby isnt likely to be the most ecoconcious. They may think they are but such behavior demonstrates a different reality
