    I am a simultaneous interpreter. RTX voice has been my best friend since I started working from home. It is far better than any noise gate I could set up. The clients have absolutely no idea about the pandemonium that is my house.

      Noise gates and downward expanders wont damage your voice. If you’re just working it doesn’t really matter but your making content it really matters.

    Maybe better in specifically your use case, but the point of nvidia voice is to be used on Rtx cards where it is offloaded to a separate chip so it touches your cpu less and like some other people have pointed out, the ram only starts out high then drops to much less shortly after and stabilizes. Also a 4/10 on the ease of use scale is very low, downloading and installing both voice and broadcast are very simple and easy, and of course it is only going to work with thx and Rtx cards, that’s the hardware it’s designed for not just any user on any platform like a Mac. In my experience the quality of nvidia voice is top tier, cuts out any fan noise and I can snap and clap and bang on my desk and it blocks every little bit of that while my voice simultaneously coming through clean, krisp is good too, but no need to the low score in quality

    The best is to try both and then choose based on your setup/microphone/noises
    In my case I experienced audio distorting and cracking sounds when using Krisp, RTX Voice ended up being more stable for my use cases
    My setup was the Mic of my webcam Logi C270, a GTX 1050 TI, and 16 GB ram, but both applications were able to block Dog barking in my neighborhood, my fan, my mechanical keyboard, and my family yelling loud.
    A really blessing software for working remotely, but in the future I'll try to buy a professional microphone because a headset makes me feel a lot of pain.

      Turning it on and off at least for me has absolutely zero affect on my gpu. With it off and the application not running at all my gpu sits around 250-350mhz and doesnt change at all once i start it up. RTX Voice uses the tensor cores in rtx gpus which are lacking in the gtx cards. Only time you should see any sort of performance hit from using RTX Voice would be either running it on a lower end gtx gpu like a 960 while playing an intensive game or using dlss with your rtx card.

    Overall I like your posts but this is not a good one. The criterias that you use for your "review" is not that fair. How can you see the installtion with Nvidia as a problem, yes it requiers a Nvidia GPU to do the job and it is a bonus to them that have an Nvidia card. I have RTX in my laptop that I do live sports streaming with OBS on and it is great. By using the GPU and not using the CPU you can not compare the CPU performance as you do in this post. As others have mentioned....yes it uses a lot of RAM in the beginning but this is gets better over time. Who would consider using this and stream with a few GB of RAM. Respect to your other posts but this i just a "money maker" showning technical missknowledge on hardware and AI, 1 out of 3 criterias that you compare here is relative to this review.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  2 роки тому

      The restriction of GPU card for a noise suppression is a big if not huge downside of NVIDIA. I do stand by that because usability of a service is an important part of its functionality for consumers. Plus, as I mentioned in the beginning of the video I dont think 99% of people need any form of noise suppression and those that do will typically be in the production business at a company like VaynerMedia in which the common tool for recording is a Macbook or another Apple product in which using NVIDIA VOICE is impossible.. cutting into the market this tool is used by. Lastly, I think its important to note that GPU usage from a noise suppression is even worse for those that create video content or gaming content as that will hinder the quality of the video recording. So it wasnt a fault of my own, but a misunderstanding of context of the purpose of the measurements. All 3 are important and show exactly what they are intended to do, which is better.
      And lastly, I DID NOT make ANY money from this video.

    700mb of RAM is nothing, especially if you're doing live noise suppression.
    If you only have 8Gb of RAM to work with, you really shouldn't be doing anything else while recording/streaming/playing the noise suppressed audio. Plus considering it would require a GTX or RTX card, if you have 8Gb of RAM in your PC, you're doing something wrong and your priorities are _not_ in order.

    The nvidia broadcast software takes more than 1GB of RAM, but I disagree with the fact that is detrimental. Seeing as you NEED a RTX GPU to use it (although I notice you only need a GTX GPU for the RTX Voice) I think its safe to assume that everyone is using 16GB+ of ram. Nobody on 8GB of ram nowdays yet has an RTX GPU lol! If you have 16GB of RAM, your PC will only utalise that fully when editing or streaming and gaming at the same time but again, thats sortve the whole thing, if your at that point of gaming and streaming, its sort've just expected to have more than 16GB? If you can afford to be buying £40-60-80 games, then you can spend that on 16GB more of RAM lol! Its the same if your using premiere pro say, your spending hundreds a year to use it, I think its safe to assume you can afford to upgrade your RAM, ESPECIALLY if its proffesional work / your job to do so!
    What im trying to say is, if your out here buying a couple hundred quid GPU which you need to run this stuff, and your pairing it with 8GB of ram, you have bigger problems than background noise!

      @@JLarky I disagree entirely. these are intended for obstructive noises or intrusive unremovable noises. they are not made for fan noises and traditional environmental noises.. music is actually a better measure of what they are used for than fan noise ever would be. Regardless.. the test results would be very similar... but I understand what you are saying.

    If following a guide and downloading a program is too hard for you you have no right to be making a video on this topic

    Krisp is trash and not free, 60 minutes a day is nothing and useless. and paying for noise supression is a joke when you have free options like OBS noise gate. RTX voice wins because if you have an NVIDIA GPU its already a no brainer.

    RTX voice is free if you have a graphics card from Nvidia while Krisp is a paid software, Krisp is bound to be the better performer, Nvidia has it as an add-on (selling point) even AMD got something like this now, they are not as good as Krisp, but is part of the package and free for a lifetime, other than should you use it, it would be a matter of do you care more about quality and are willing to pay for a monthly or yearly service or would buy a graphics card that can be used for gaming and whatever use case scenario you may have for it with a one-time investment (and lower noise reduction quality)? If this is not a sponsored video by Krisp, you should focus on how to answer this question instead, there is too much bias in this video, and there is no objectivity if you don't ask the right questions, what is the takeaway if you don't address the most important question, is it free? if not how much does it cost? how much better is it compared to the free one? what are the caveats for each one in the comparison? then you draw your own conclusions, share them with you viewers and invite them to gather their thoughts based on their particular situation and use case scenario, the review is not entirely bad, but it all sound suspicious.

    Meh... Starting with "you need to have Nvidia card and Krisp doesn't"
    SHould've started with monthly fees or no monthly fees.

      Because of how they position their product I had no awareness of the paid part of Irish when making this video

      @@TheFranswahStudio Thank you. Appreciate the reply. I imagined that Krisp was free as well since it's been part of Discord. Wanted to use it in something else, so downloaded the app. It's a paid subscription... THen I discovered that I could run something similar with one download for free because I happen to have an RTX2060.

    Discord disappointed. There are a bunch of characters of different sorts. There are not only characters sitting in the discord itself, there are also the persons serving the discord itself (that is, this is the technical support of the discord itself and everyone connected with it). This discord is praised from all sides. This is partly true, but there is a downside to this discord. Which few people talk about. Being in this discord can be fraught for some. Better think twice. Is it worth going to this discord? And what do you need from this discord?
    Pros:
    1) can get caught in places, but not always a normal team for communication on different topics;
    2) passing raids in games that cannot be passed without communication, even if you try;
    3) designed for cooperative games;
    Minuses:
    1) in the discord there is no "confidentiality" from the word at all .;
    2) different types of characters can be caught in the discord (criminals, hackers, rich characters, humorists and characters who don't care about everything and the technical support of the discord itself), as well as young people who are not quite adequate .;
    3) the attendants of the discord itself who follow the discord itself do not follow their own rules from the word at all. (Technical support and everyone who is associated with the discord).
    4) in discord, only "selected" characters can scold someone, swear at someone, and so on. Otherwise, they will mix the whole discord with shit in the literal sense of the word.
    5) communication with a friend on the discord is disclosed by the hackers themselves and the discord service personnel. The secrecy of correspondence is not respected at all.
    6) if you start swearing with someone, then his defenders who have nothing to do with swearing will crawl out, and the persecution will start from their side, and after that absolutely the entire discord is connected.
    7) hackers and "knocked down on their heads" (they can and will pretend to be) comedians begin to look for people via the Internet to annoy them at home. Seeing a discord blows their heads completely.
    8) in discord, not only children, but also adults (pretending to be fools) take part in this.
    SO FOLLOW WHAT YOU SAY AND TO WHOM YOU SPEAK.
    PS: at the moment, there is no need to be present in the discord. There is a certain society that has its own laws and rules at the moment. They will mix anyone with shit. either you (the group united) with shit will mix or do not knowing who at its discretion).
    P.S: this is a kind of group that found its own cozy little world in discord and choose new ones and evaluate them, then they draw conclusions, and then the consequences.
    "Cozy little world"
    Here we are talking about the Russian language discord.
