    I owned a stihl fs130 string trimmer, fc90 edger, & km130 hedge
    trimmer, 3 dedicated machines with 3 different engines to maintain and
    they took up quite a bit of storage space. Sold all 3 on offerup and
    bought a km130 kombi head with straight string trimmer, edger,
    articulating hedge trimmer, pole saw, cultivator and 2 extension poles
    for the price I sold the 3 dedicated units for and still had a little
    change left. Kombi is so much better and takes much less space, plus I
    now have a pole saw and cultivator too. so I'm more than happy with it.
    Changing the heads out is fast and easy, just make sure you keep the
    ends of the poles greased so they attach and detach without getting
    stuck and you won't have to fight with them.

    Just used my new extensions on the kombi. SICK!! Should be illegal it's so good. Fits in the back if my Ute like it's not even there. I love how that little bit if extra weight helps the chain glide through wood quickly without having to hold any pressure. Awesome tools. Thanks for the vide bro

    Can the kombi 111r or the battery 135r handle 2 extensions + the hedge trimmer or chainsaw? Does it have enough power? Or should I buy the 131r?? Thanks!!!! :)

    I've got the echo and yeah, it's rough on your shoulders. I'm going to see if they make carbon fiber extensions like stihl. I don't know how you hold up that thing with 3 extensions on it, you're a beast!

  • @pcdubya

    Good tips man, just craigslisted one about bran damn new for 350 and was wondering about about the extension for the saw. The hedge trimmer is already heavy but that looks useful occasionally, have to get one of those lighter ones. And that tip at the end about turning 10k into a million, cool, though the best way to make a million, start with 2 million.

    Hey, any idea why a new carbon extension isn't engaging properly on my Stihl KMA 130 r battery Kombi? It's pushed all the way in. Is just rubbing and only half biting the mechanism, sounding very unhealthy

    • @72superlead
      @72superlead 2 роки тому

      My first one did the same thing. After lots of time spent pulling it down to bits I discovered the plastic inner sheath was cut too long, meaning the female connection side sat too low in the bracket and couldn't engage properly. I simply cut it down to the size of my newest one (which was about 10mm off) and hey presto

  • @ww-sd9pz
    @ww-sd9pz 5 років тому +1

    The 1 meter carbon fibre extension pole doesn’t really fit my KM94RC properly. Even after greasing, its a two man job to get it to connect and the same to disconnect.
    Maybe it will loosen over time but its actually ridiculously tight. Did you have this problem ?

    • @FixItWithMe
      @FixItWithMe Рік тому

      Sometimes u have to turn the powerhead on, press the trigger for it to run a second, then u can put the extension on…
      There are times I have to press the trigger twice. It moves the things inside so that it can align right and u can wiggle the extension on…

  • @leyshonrr

    I have this set and it's great. Though I never use more than one extension - I use a tripod ladder to reach instead.

    • @72superlead
      @72superlead 2 роки тому +1

      There's a good reason arbourists plan and leave an escape route out when felling. On a ladder you lock yourself in and essentially say "this is it and I'm not moving from here no matter what". When the branch etc decides to head straight for you all you can do it brace for the impending impact. Please, don't trim trees using a ladder

      The “wingnuts on the spindle” part is different for echos and stihl
      But you could switch them out so everthing is universal. We use echo power heads and stihl attachments.
      I only went through the trouble because i was already doing work on the parts and had brand new echo power heads. Our stihl one has been beating to death

  • @erike7297

    My wing nut pin things inside the power head shaft came off with in the first month or two of owning the km unit. That's the only disappointing thing. I have no reason to install other ones in there because i know the will just fall out again. When using the string trimmer head I just rotate it by hand until it lines up and yes, its a pain in the ass. I was using my brush cutter to grind down some sticks in a pile running it rather hard and the plastic sleeve melted so i had to order a few sleeves. Pro's and cons to everything. I'm a professional with too much shit in my truck and the KM saves me a lot of space.

Be careful how much you wiggle that extension the pot metal wear the plastic collar goes will break and have to replace the whole thing. Cut alot of limbs. Head unit and tool no issues extension poles suck have to fix all the time.

    ''Strong word of advise'' Don't buy the carbon lightweight extension as it will break even with very light use, i went through 2 in a few days and the dealer told me that most customers were having the same problem and they had quit trying to selling them. I was use only using 1 extension and i'm extremely carefully with my equipment, when i was trimmer a light beach hedge upwards it spilt open twice.
