850 miles on my Carnivores on my 2019 Wildcat XX LTD WAY BETTER THAN STOCK TIRES!!!!! Great in all areas and surprisingly damn good in mud too!!! 32x10x15 FTW!!!
I recently went to 32” carnivores on my YXZ and I can tell immediately that rock crawling is going to be more challenging with them. I had 30” Aftershocks and wanted more ground clearance with my next tires so that’s why I went 32’s. Weight difference was minimal, 50.5# for aftershocks, and 53.8# for the larger carnivores on the same rims. I can tell you that the carnivores have so much more grip I’ll probably be lucky if I don’t kill axles with them! Anyway, good review!
I’ve got the terrabites on my xp1000. They do great on nice hard packed surfaces but as soon as you hit a sandy patch it makes the whole machine feel like you’re in a boat an suddenly cutting power. Just instantly bogs down. They also really suck in any sort of decent snow depth. I’ve pretty much been limited to just zipping around neighborhood roads all winter because anything else I’ll just get stuck.
Gonna say this, currently on my 4th set of Motoclaws, I'll take them 3:1 over Carnivores any day. I don't have to worry about the sidewalls being weak/thin etc. Riding in Kentucky, Tennessee, and WVa. I've never had a flat, puncture, or lack of performance from Motoclaws.
I have the RMAX2 1000 that came with Carnivores. Have over 1100 miles on them. They work great I probably have @5% pavement. I am going to rotate as the back have about 25-35% tread wear and the fronts have about 20%. You take the good with the bad. You cant have a good hard compound tire that will do 10K miles on pavement and still get up slick rocks in 40-60 degrees outside. Its worth the $600 every 3K miles to get into a new set of great tires.
I have 32" Carnivores on my 2016 YXZ with a 4+4 15" rim size. I have my shocks set at Yamaha max hardness spring setting, but backed off the soft, hard, and rebound gas settings to gain the smoother ride back. I have no issues with rubbing at all or tearing stuff up yet. I do some trail and mud riding in Southern Louisiana swamps. I do believe over time the harder strain the 32s produce will burn up the rekluse and stock clutches I'm running, but no issues yet since I've bought it in 2016 (Carnivores only been on for about 6 months so still trial and error.). Besides that...the tires are awesome.
Carnivores have become our go to tire on our SxS's, run them on a General 4 (30"). and Rzr HL (32"). We run them at 10psi also with beadlocks with absolutely no issues. Will definitely keep running them for our main tire. Great review, thanks.
I had big horn 2.0s on my 19 commander and i switched to carnivores, they are amazing tire. They looked like a AT to me but 2 big surprises to me was the mud traction and the mellow road manners
@Gregory Gresham i did 28x10 front and rear with same size all the way around with sti wheels. Maybe a few pounds heavier but unnoticeable in when driving. Stock no lift never rubbed on any trail or even towing or plowing. Great upgrade, very tough tire haven't gotten a flat with 500 miles on them. Big horns would get flats every other ride and wear extremely fast
I don't have a 4x4. So I mostly do dirt roads. But a couple of years back I came to the conclusion that the style of the tread is either completely unimportant or at the least it comes in second after the gap between lugs on the tire as what is important when talking efficiency for off road use. These tires seem to confirm this idea.
I have 30”carnivores on a rzr 900-4 have around 2000ml on them. We ride pavement dirt road and ruff rocky muddy trails. I would say there around 1/2 tread I run 10psi on a beadlock wheel.
I'm like y'all said each person has their on opinion on tires everybody told me that Black Mambas were way to heavy being I went with 32" x10" and then mounted them on 10" wide wheels for the floatation to cross extremely soft mud that has no bottom from where cows are fed. I can cross it by staying on top instead of digging down trying to find the bottom. Don't get me wrong I have several other sets of tires for what I am riding
Great info video. I’m in Tennessee and was thinking of getting 32s for my xp1000. Mostly for clearance. The carnivores are at the top of the list with the pro armor crawler xg. Weight is my biggest concern so 30s might be the way to go. Keep the videos coming!!!
I just put on 28" carnivores. Wish I could've gone 30" but I don't have the gear reduction yet. I've put about 50 miles on them and really like them better than the big horns. We're heading to Hatfield McCoy in a few weeks, by watching your videos I think they'll do fine.
I typically ride in the Glamis dunes and the YXZ with stock bighorns are really really good. See my video of me going up China Wall. N/A RZR’s don’t usually make it but it’s nothing for the YXZ’s.
DUNEYXZ some dunes is something I’d really like to do once. Just so far for us. The closest ones are Michigan and I don’t think that’s even worth the drive from what I hear. So I think the next closest would be in Oklahoma?
Hey there Josh, I just installed the same bumper on my yxz as you have. I'm installing the winch this week. Omg getting them 2 long allen bolts in that go in the back to the front are a nightmare because of the front differential, you got any secrets to getting them in easier? I would love to have the spare tire mount but for $500 they can keep it . Thanks
John Fumich I’m running 15 but airing down to 10 for our next trip to hopefully get a bit more traction. So, I guess I’d say 10! Lol we’ll have some brimstone videos coming soon so check them out to see how the tires held up we’re both going to run 10psi
Do You think the 30x10 R14 Carnivore woud do good on a Turbo RZR ? and compared to the stock Bighorns they not that much havyer .... great video by the way
Do you guys run the 70/30 gear reduction? Mine is getting it installed next week and I don’t know whether the heavy flywheel that’s on it now would be better to keep or if I should switch back to stock.
mancogokartrider depends what type of riding you do. We’re both now running heavy flywheel and 70/30 reduction. But we ride really technical trails where it is nice to be able to slow it down to a 0mph crawl in the Speedo for rocks and whatnot
This review has sold me on the Carnivores. I ordered some 14” System 3 beadlocks with 32” Carnivores for my Can Am
Great to see a tire review where you show examples of where one tire performs better then the other. That really helps us out! Great video guys.
XMARGH for sure, thought it would be cool to clip to some of the differences. Thanks!
Great video boys. I love how you guys actually show the difference in them in the trails.
Your roll cage looks amazing. Was it a weld shop that did it? Or is it a kit?
Great review! Talked me out of the motoclaws and into the carnivores. Thanks guys!
Lou G no problem! Glad it helped

Danny Williams 32” carnivores would be rowdy 😍🤘

Hey man, Are you still liking the Carnivores ? Do you prefer them over the big horn 2.0 ? I am debating between those two tires.

Great review! I have been looking at the carnivore and this review helped me. Thanks
UTV DIRT thanks!
Got 147 miles on my krx with carnivores already one sidewall puncture at 11psi. Will be replacing for rock-a-billys.

Stacy Reid So what did you end up using for mud? Size, rim size, offset, and brand
I’m thinking about making the switch from a rzr 900S to a yxz. My brother just bought one and it’s such a fun machine. I’m hooked.
dustygood044944g yea they are great machines!
I have the Carnivores on my rmax2 and they have been amazing! Suck on pavement but with all other trails they grip like no other in my opinion!

RIDE COMMAND 18 for sure. 32 or 30 debate is hard! Want the clearance but don’t want the breakage lol
I have the 18 xp1000 highlifter. I went with 30s. After breaking axles with the outlaws. I love em si far
Brandon franks thanks for the info. I had 30s on my 900s and they worked great.
Brandon franks what tires are you running?

IKT Off Roading yes I think you’ll like them! Gear reduction and 30s is where it’s at!
Do you have them on beadlock rims ? I want to get the Carnivores but wanted to see how they perform on regular rims ?
@@Hugo-Hernandez I had them on regular 14" rims for a few months then I bought a set of 14" beadlocks. No problems on either.
@@AssaultOffroad
Perfect thank you, if you don’t mind asking at what PSI would you run them on the regular rims ?
@@Hugo-Hernandez normally I'd keep them around 15lbs
For the entry level sxs big horns work well, big boy s run 32 rockabillys on our rzrs.
These just seem like a great tire for what you all are showcasing in your videos. I really like these tires.
Yeah they’re great for our riding!

Yeah, probably...

Blown Budget Offroad Maybe consider flying out and renting some machines to ride in Glamis?
DUNEYXZ yeah maybe. Would suck to be in a rental though lol

Great comparison
Where did you get that rear fender on the red and black yxz?
If your going to Kentucky or Tennessee put on some Roxxzillas, my Carnivores are heading to the trash! RZR Turbo S XP4
What do you think would be a better all around tire between the Motoclaw & Carnivore? Using them on a Defender. Thanks.
I’d go with the carnivore
Have y’all decided on a psi that works? I know ya said one tried 10 and another tried 15 but do ya have a sweet spot? Thanks!
John Fumich I’m running 15 but airing down to 10 for our next trip to hopefully get a bit more traction. So, I guess I’d say 10! Lol we’ll have some brimstone videos coming soon so check them out to see how the tires held up we’re both going to run 10psi
Motoclaws suck in mud they do better if you can spin them faster.

Trinity Alien yes I do! Great tire
@@BlownBudgetOffroad Thanks for Your opinion
👍 Great review
Brian YXZ1000R thanks 👍
Have you guys tried this tire on a non bead lock? What’s the lowest psi I should be running without beadlock
I run em on my teryx at 15 psi on a stock rim.

mancogokartrider yeah It’s a good setup
Are they a true 30" with 10psi in them? Just curious, alot of tire companies say 30inches but when mounted, they are short. Any information will help.
76whyworry they measure about 29.5 at 10psi new.
@@BlownBudgetOffroad hey thank you for the quick reply, great video's, keep them coming!!
Do u need a beadlock when running the lower psi?
Saw some doughnuts but no cookies lol
The torque of a rzr or a can am destroys these tires. Several in our group have tried them and ripped entire lugs off.
Any exp with a Blackwater ?
Tony Cave no we have not tried them.
Zero side bite, not a great ride, do decent in mud. I'll never own another set.
M1 Evils 3000 miles on them still 3/4
Yea,but the weight and price are way higher
