Kiswahili could have been the official language of Africa, NOT English or French, if people like Kwame Nkrumah and Patrice Lumumba had their way of United States of Africa dream. Imagine how proud and prosperous Africans would have been. You can travel from Kenya to a village in Nigeria or Congo and people will understand each other without speaking a European language!

And the Pan African poetry on this song 🎶 is beautiful. The title Na Gode is in Hausa, and the music is in Swahili, Pidgin and Igbo. The languages on this song and on other collaborations with Sauti Sol and with Angélique Kidjo is just amazing. This is God working in you. 👏🏾👏🏾

A true African queen. We must come out of our enclaves and unlearn the arrogance of thinking that one set of people are more important that the others. We must embrace the culture and beauty of our beautiful family and appreciate them sufficiently. Such a blessing listening to Yemi sing in Swahili. Such a bliss

After work, you need to refresh, but don't forget, it's not by your power but from Him.
Even if you don't get what you need, give thanks to God, tell Him you are God. Even when you get what you need, give thanks to God, for your are true God.
Don't forget, it's by your power, but His, say thank you God, for you are God.
