Fun fact: to be an orphan, you don’t need both parents to be dead. Your mother just needs to be dead, or unable to care for you. You can have a perfectly alive and wonderful dad and your still an orphan. The term was coined to be an easier way to describe children in awful situations, because at the time if a child didn’t have a mother they would be hungry and filthy

Finally watched the movie (it premiered earlier here 😅).
Sadly, both Aladdin and Jasmine's mothers don't appear in the movie. Jasmine's mother though was referenced throughout the movie, with Jasmine telling Dalia, her handmaiden, and her father how great of a ruler she was and how she would have been disappointed seeing Jasmine being locked up in the palace.
I'm almost 40 minutes later then when this video was posted, but I'm intrigued

In the live action , Aladdin says both his parents are dead and Jasmines mum was murdered. Also ‘Proud of your Boy’ is my favourite song from the musical which I saw the other week.
As much as I like watching your theories, having it come out on Thursday, the day before the premiere, but the European premiere has already been so I know of the theory is right or not, brings it down a little

Here’s a theory for you what if Aladdin’s wish to become a prince did come true because Genie may not understand how his own wishes are granted sometime or some other reason and that his dad’s background was all changed so he would be the king of thieves so that way Aladdin could technically be a prince

Speaking of the Prince Wish, I have a long running fan theory myself concerning that. Namely that Aladdin and the King of Thieves essentially exists to close a plot hole in the first movie. (Also why it's the best Disney sequel because it actually has a reason to exist)
It has been my theory that a big plothole in the first Aladdin that people complain about is actually solved in the third movie. Because everybody always complains about the mechanics of the Prince wish.
As in, either why does he not see himself as a real Prince if he wished to be a real Prince? And/or if he is a real Prince, what is he prince of exactly? Did the Genie just make a nation out of nowhere? Where is it? How does that work? Where are the people and the rest of the royal line? Etc.
And I've said that the cheat the Genie actually makes is when Aladdin makes the wish, what actually happens is Cassim, his father, becomes the leader of the 40 Thieves. The King of Thieves, if you will, making Aladdin technically a Prince...of theives.
And part of my reasoning for this is Saluk, the villain in King of Thieves, sings a song about how he remembers a time before Cassim, when the 40 thieves were very different and more ruthless, and none of them are really sure why Cassim is actually in charge or why they're following his "soft hearted" rules.
But what I discovered today is there is yet another piece of evidence for this in the first Aladdin movie itself. As during the "You Never Had a Friend Like Me" song, the Genie himself references the fact that Alibaba is the leader of the 40 Thieves before Aladdin makes the wish!
As in, before Cassim, before Aladdin makes the wish, the King of Thieves was Alibaba!
This might also go a long way in explaining why Cassim only had one night to look. Because if at that point he wasn't the King, but merely a PART of the 40 Thieves under Alibaba then he might have only been able to escape long enough to search for one night. It kind of even is mentioned by the Oracle in the third movie, when she says how he is "trapped" within their organization here. And by the time he actually, due to the Genie granting the wish, becomes King, he's not able to leave due to his own greed and believing his family long gone.
Just my theory that I've had for a while.

Aladdin 3 - actually pretty good
Aladdin 2 had such contrived plot points. He gets blamed for lying and keeping Iago secret even though he was going to tell them. They started to guilt him on it before they even knew it. Didn't even give him a change to bring Iago up. But he also didn't learn anything from the first movie. Just made the same mistakes again. Everyone in that movie is just kind of awful.
I'm not saying Aladdin hinges on the portrayal of Genie, but it sure seems like it.

Think about the day that he couldn't find his wife or son being the day Aladdin meeting Genie (Not true), but Aladding wishing he was a prince and his father gets the idea to stop looking and becomes the king of thieves. Which led to whole not searching anymore after the day.
That was my thought the first time I saw 3, many many moons ago.
I could imagine Disney sneaking in a mention of the King of Thieves, like maybe some guards talking about how he pulled off another heist or maybe a wanted poster in the background somewhere

White (technically grey, there's no such thing as a "white horse" unless we're talking "overo lethal white" and as the name suggests a horse born with that 100% lethal gene dies) horse = money
In many cultures, grey horses were used as a symbol of wealth, so royalty had a few of them.
They're also really hard to keep clean cause grey horses just LOVE to lay in their own pee and turn yellow, or if there was any mud anywhere those greys go to roll in it. Cleaning them to make them pristine white took money, so while other people of lower income could get their hands on grey horses they couldn't afford to clean them as well.
EDIT: To add, in case anyone asks. No such thing as an albino horse either. The gene just doesn't exist for horses. Any horse labelled albino is most likely a cremello, which is just a chestnut with two dominant "cream" genes and are still tinted yellow.
There are some white genes that are rare. It is called dominant white and the horses are born with the color and stay that way, unlike the grey gene. It can cover the whole body or most of it or none of it.
And Norwegian Fjords (horses from the movie Frozen) are all different shades of dun so not even they are technically grey as the breed doesn't carry the gene. They just used a very light colored dun.
But yes, there are no albino horses, and most "white" horses are actually grey or cremello/perlino/smokey cream.
@@emilyapelgren648 Dominant white is more of a pinto/paint pattern than a color. They still have an undercoat, just covered with large white marks like any Paint. You can get the same effect with splash. It seems pretty new and barely researched so I don't really know much about it.

There are horses with Leucism, who are dominant white, so their whole skin is pink, and their whole hair is white at the time of birth. Grey horses that appear to be white are born dark grey or black and turn white with maturity. So while totally white horses are very rare (because it is a genetic mutation) they do exist, and they can survive as long as normal horses.

Where Jasmin's was mentioned in the original, Aladdin's wasn't, and I think they'll keep to the original storyline instead of the sequels.

It is satire but it is such a beautiful story that does actual tell you what happened to their parents. Sure it’s not cannon but it tells the story from Jaguars perspective and it is really great and I highly recommend watching it, however, if you are younger and reading the comments maybe don’t, it’s not very appropriate (at all!)

Even though his mom never appeared in the remake, there was a deleted song that both Jasmine and Aladdin sang, and they were both taught that song by their mothers. They actually reference the song in the beginning of the movie.

I'm actually looking forward to the live-action remake.
Still going with the Starkid theory that Aladdin was the bad guy all along and kinda accidentally/not so accidentally killed his parents.
