Niedersächsischer Wissenschaftspreis 2023 for Professor Franziska Neumann

Franziska Neumann, junior professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig, received the 20,000 euro prize in the category "Researcher in an early career phase".
Neumann convinced the scientific commission with her versatile approach to investigating the history of knowledge of urban space in a multi-faceted and interdisciplinary manner. "With her work, she clearly demonstrates the extent to which research on the early modern period can be integrated into a university with a technical and scientific focus," was the justification for the special award. Niedersachsen also recognized Neumann's experimental teaching formats, with which she inspires students for the early modern period.
