loving your enjoyment of our beautiful Highlands, seen the snippet of at the end for your visit to Durness and Smoo Cave love that camp site, beach is fantastic, great memories when visited a few years back good times, even when the tent pole broke in stormy weather. Will be upgrading to camper this year hopefully. enjoy the rest of your trip. x

When I did it last year we stopped at the car park next to the lighthouse just outside John o goates

While up Skye direction or really anywhere in the black Isle you definitely need to get some Stornoway black pudding. It's the best, Especially on a roll with brown sauce. Have a safe trip 👍

Absolutely loving your videos. We used to stay on the Black Isle, and visited some of these areas, but never actually stayed there. Now that we have a camper-van, I think this might change. Thank you for showing us around. ❤ x

Done the 500 two years ago, went the same way as you, was going to go back and do it again but found your video so I’ll just do it with you, I know you’ll love it I did.

We did manage to get in the car park at Whaligoe Steps in a 6m camper van - the parking is vague but the same chap you spoke to said there was only 1 resident with a car when we were there last June. However, agree not for the faint hearted and there is so much to see on the NC500 you can’t do everything, we took 16 days which included a couple of nights driving up from Suffolk but didn’t touch the surface.
Enjoying reminiscing from our trip last year. Will be interested to hear your favourite spot. Some of the views are incredible and hard to believe you are in the UK.
We just felt awful we encroached on the residents like that so couldn’t stay it’s a shame though. Scotland is beautiful and it’s an excuse to return one day x

Whaligoe steps would have been a nightmare with the kids... about 200 rough, very very steep steps with near vertical drops and no railings... enjoy your trip..the best is yet to come.. the west coast is my favourite place ever... x

Wow in Scotland they have a main class A road called NC500 & where I Live we have a main class A road that goes from Nantwich cheshire to Stoke On Trent and that’s called the A500

Great vlog very interesting and your Benidorm one’s we go there too. You must have been on John O Groats same time as us as that was our caravan. We were there Sat till Tuesday and had a giggle to ourselves as we were the only caravan on site for the 3 days. Like your new van looks a lot more roomier.

@The Ruck Family Yes had a great time despite the weather went for a walk to Shell Beach about a mile along The John O Groats shore. Yes it was a bit weird being the only caravan. We had a motorhome until recently but had that many problems with it the dealer bought it back off us and we changed to caravan. I do miss the motorhome though. Enjoy the rest of your trip and i look forward to your other vlogs. I've put a couple of vlogs on myself (caravan adventures with pockersoldbean)

The weather is favourable so far, dry and sunny weather is about as good as it gets, don’t expect bikini weather, unless on top of a wet suit!

They are everywhere up here to hire so you shouldn’t have a problem it’s fab x

Aww that was so sad seeing that harbour seal that tragically lost its life and it looked like a young one, why didn’t the authorities remove it instead of leaving there taped off for all to see and birds and other wild animals feeding off it then eventually the smell, it should have been removed so that young children don’t get upset by the tragedy
Yes it was very sad to see, unfortunately they can’t remove all deceased animals plenty along the roadsides too. X
