Then I was listening to a lesser known band that has a song that strikes a chord with me (no pun intended). Woods of Ypres and the song: "I was Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery". I love the song, but always hated the distortion they used. I love a good distortion (White Zombie among my favorites) but what they used... it's too fuzzy for the emotional vocals. Plus the overall production is severely lacking, but it's too good of a song to let fall by the wayside. Then hearing it as a Type O Negative song made a lot of sense. But then... so did Alice in Chains. Staley and Steele would both be perfect, and now I'm conflicted. 🤔
