That is a good point but I think Omega like Rolex takes the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it approach and I get it as both movements are great. I think I’d rather see them stick the money towards a new watch design instead of releasing version 9 million of the speedmaster. To be honest the power reserve I don’t put much thought into as the companies that are pulling the 80 plus hour reserves are killing the movements beat rate to do it. Any slower and the second hand is going to look like a quartz.
Thanks for sharing. I’m a Tudor fan myself. As for 6k, I’ve been eyeing the Omega Aqua Terra 38mm or a Rolex Explorer. Thanks again for the generosity and opportunity.
Both great choices but it would be tough to get the explorer at 6k unless you went vintage. I love the Explorer but refuse to pay more for a watch used than it cost new. Thank you for watching!
@@BlueCollarLuxe I agree. It would have to be older but that’s okay. That’s the only one missing to complete my core collection and the only Rolex that would be in my collection.
Lol, it just so happens that the chicken wings I bake take 45min! I’m going to be 100% honest and I’m a bit ashamed but I totally did not see that until you brought it up. I looked at this watch in person and didn’t catch it.
Is the Armin Strom GMT supposed to be for two different planets? I can't imagine needing two different minute hands on Earth. That said, it is gorgeous. Speaking of watches at 6k, I'm really thinking about buying a Tudor Black Bay Chrono, and the Blue edition is pretty.
lol, that is a good point but it is a crazy cool watch! As far as Tudor goes I think you can't go wrong, I have one and love it but with that said 6K is a lot of money.
Congratulations, please email me bluecollarluxe@gmail so i can get your new watch out to you! I’m going to give you a code that you will need to comment so I can verify it’s you.
JLC Master Control Date sector dial. It was and remains the most beautiful watch I’ve ever seen, and it’s the best example of all my favorite design details.
Thank you so much! Great pick, I love Omega but the Planet Ocean is a bit much for me as far as how heavy it is. I had the white dial Seamaster 300 and love it but sold it to my brother because I always chose to wear the Speedmaster over it.
I would have to go for the Grand Seiko spring drive SBGA493. Such a gorgeous piece! Thanks for the video, and the honest opinion on the current pricing issues going on.
I almost always buy pre-owned, so that expands my $6k budget immensely. I would go for either IWC Mark series on that amazing bracelet or an Omega AT Milgauss edition (black with yellow accents)- with $6k.
Personally for 6k on the gray market I would like the Omega Constellation Co-Axiel Master Chronometer in Grey with black leather. That dial melts my heart.
Great content! My pick would be the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph @ $5250 OR the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche @ $6850. I'm a big dude so 44mm would fit me better than the 41mm Black Bay Chrono anyway. Cheers!
For me, the Tudor Black Bay 58 Bronze is a killer. Love the brown and bronze. But personally, id wear the brown strap over the bracelet :) Its about $5k in EU.
At 6K price range, it’s very hard to choose. Guess I pick Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT - Coke dial. It has one of the best or at least on my opinion, an impressive dial case diameter with that GMT complication 😊
It's a nice watch for sure but for 6k I think I would move up to the Breating Chronomat GMT 40. The bracelet in my opinion is one of the best looking bracelets available no matter the brand.
@@BlueCollarLuxe wow u read my mind too. That was my 2nd choice. Loved that bracelet however I still prefer 39mm than 40mm a slight touch due to I have a smaller wrist.
I get that but to honest, I have had them both in my hand and could not tell a difference in size and I checked them out back to back. The Breitling store and Tudor store are side by side in the mall here in Florida. I actually went to Breitling to buy the 43mm Avenger and they did not have the one I was looking for so I ended up going next door and purchasing the Black Bay 41.
I had to browse around to see what watches are available around the 6k usd mark and what an enjoyable ride it is to imagine purchasing a watch with that much money hahahaha!! Rational or not, the Night Mission Breitling Avenger GMT 44 is full of toughness!
Actually, I came here because the BB 58 is exactly the one I want. So I wanted to know your opinion. And yes, it's a replacement for the Rolex hahahaha But to be fair, I want a khaki field Murph 38mm before the BB58. This size thing you mentioned is actually a concern. I tried to get my hands at one but couldn't at the time. Definitely gonna try one before making a decision on the 58.
The BB 58 is a great watch watch and can be picked up preowned for a crazy deal. I would say that if you are not used to wearing a watch it is a bit heavy and will take some getting used to. I have the BB 41 and it wears a bit heavy and bulky but there is a payoff when I look down at it!
Great watch, I wear mine almost everyday but a bit out of the 6k budget. The hesalite is 7k and the sapphire is 8k so you are going to have to go preowned!
@@BlueCollarLuxe that will be a future piece. But my every day watch is the Omega, Seamaster, it’s the James Bond auto I bought back in 2001. Fantastic time piece.
As 6k usd is out of my watch budget for the forseeable future, i do not know too much about the specific models and such in that range. But i would probably look towards Grand Seiko or Tudor. Those brands appeal to me on a general basis. Maybe a Spring drive GS model or a Black bay Tudor.
Oh yeah the blue dial for me! I really like Grand Seiko excluding their bracelets, because there is no taper, at least the ones I’ve looked at. Same with Omega, great watch not so good bracelet until the 4th gen Speedmaster.
The Seamaster 300 is the perfect pick. It’s $5,900 is an icon and has a Master Chronometer movement so great choice! I had the white dial, just sold it to my brother.
Love it! Grand Seiko use the environment in Japan as inspiration such as the snowflake and the skyflake. They have a new blue dial that was inspired by a famous waterfall there. The dial you have picked was inspired by the cherry blossoms. Pretty cool huh?
Great pick! I would have a really hard time choosing between the Snowflake and the Skyflake. I’d say if it was the wear all the time watch, the Snowflake and if it’s the on occasion watch, the Skyflake!
Its telling that a Breitling chrono with the B01 movement can be had at 4500 usd from the grey market. Glad its not just me who spotted the colour shuffling by Tudor as a claimed advance. Soon be 30% off on grey market....
That is why I always suggest buying preowned! Let the original purchaser take the equity hit but I will admit that I have not followed my own advise a few time.
Omega Olympic Timekeeper. Master Chronometer, limited edition, under budget and that gives me a range of colours to choose from in the Olympic Rings colours (my choice would be the blue).
I hate saying anything bad about a watch because I love them all but the only Tag model that is worth 6K in my opinion is the Monaco. It was just a few years ago you could pick up the Carrera Chronograph for $2,500 and now they want over 5k. This is just crazy to me.
@@BlueCollarLuxe The truth is we all need shit to bitch about. Hopefully yourself and many can make one of these watches from scratch. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT

This is why I tell people if you are going to buy other brands buy preowned, let the original purchaser take the hit but I have to admit that I have not followed my own advise a few times.
That is very true! I bought both my Breitling and my Tudor new but to be honest it was only because they had just released and we not available preowned. The Breitling was available on the grey market and I could have saved about $1,400 but I wanted the warranty!
I think at this time if I had a spare 6k to go pick up a new watch tomorrow it would be Omega, Grand Seiko and then IWC but that order changes by the day and sometimes by the second. While I was responding to this comment I changed my mind and now its the Brietling green dial GMT Chronomat. I have a problem, lol.
Be tight on 6K even if both are preowned. Preowned the new Seamaster 300 is around 4K and the Aqua Terra is about the same. You could pick up an early 2000s Seamaster and a newer Aqua Terra!
Do you think Omega is overdue in updating its 9-year-old 8800 & 8900 movements to have a power reserve of at least 75 to 85 hours?
That is a good point but I think Omega like Rolex takes the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it approach and I get it as both movements are great. Congrats on reaching 500+ subscribers happy that this channel is getting the recognization that it deserves i would like to buy Rolex datejust 16220
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that! 36mm is to small for me but I would make an exception for Rolex!
I’d go with the Omega Aqua Terra for sure - perfect blend of sporty and dressy
Perfect all around watch!
