    Thank you for this, I to am a walker, I started in 2009 , when I was having many health issues from being overweight.I can tell you that in the beginning I had no idea how great it was going to be.I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to convince people how wonderful it is. I now call myself an outdoorsy, because not a day goes by that don’t wake up with that strong urge, to get up & go outside for my walk , (serenity now ).When Im walking,I am so involved that I don’t even feel my legs moving,I do some thinking but most of the time it’s just breathing , sounds, sights ,nature. I am hooked totally , I love it with my whole being & in 18 months I
    lost 128lbs.I encourage everyone to go enjoy walking!!! 🧘‍♀️💃🌺🌼🇬🇧🇨🇦M

      You can still start this. I'm sure he can't walk everyone who needs a walk. It's not about getting all the attention and praise for that idea. It's about providing something to the community that is helpful. I see his talk as an invitation to do something that you could do too. His talk just reminded me that I should have done it when I came up with the idea half a year ago. I called the idea walk'n'talk.

Walkers help each other with ideas, repairs and other information, a few laughs, and stress relief!

    now people are paying for simple things like walking and talking, the world is on a downhill smh, anyway i like what this dude is doing 👍👍 more often we should shutdown our computers and social medias and just walk and talk with our family, friends and good people

    • @familiebvmichael
      @familiebvmichael 3 роки тому

      one the one hand, I have the same opinion. But maybe those learnings bring us back to what is important anyway. When people pay for something, they value it. We somehow behaved that way too. We only focus on the things we are getting or paying money for. Others are often neglected. Maybe, it's all just a part of evolution :)

    Very nice 😊, thanks. I take Christine’s little dogs for a walk everyday. Christine said it’s the best thing I can do for her. She’s so busy and it takes a load off her mind knowing they get out for fresh air and exercise. Walks around here are beautiful and entertaining. We walk the beach and down by the harbor. We are doing good, so greatful for Christine and Tom’s support. So glad Dan is going to the YMCA, it does wonders for his physique . Dan keeps me updated on how you’re doing, sounds like you’re doing well. Take care and stay safe and well 💕

      Hopefully, in some of your walking time, you can also go to an animal shelter and walk a dog - it will make the dog so happy, he/she will get exercise, and being able to interact with humans and go on a leash will make the dog much more adoptable, not to mention the benefits you will get from exercise, interaction with an animal, and knowing you did something selfless (which you already do for your friend's dogs). Thanks!

      Nope! I have no desire to tangle with the federal government by trespassing onto Government owned military land. At the worst it seems like a great way to get shot and at the best 15 years in a federal penitentiary for trespassing.
      You guys are morons and I can't wait to see how many of you get arrested for sheer stupidity!
      I love a good protest, attend several a year for various causes but trespassing is not protesting!

    It struck me how lucid this man is. Not an um, er, like. or you know in his talk. He's a walking advertisement for the mental as well as the physical benefits of walking.
