Moreover, in at least one audio, Depp says that he runs away from their fights because he fears what he might do to her if he stays, which shows that even he was afraid of what the monster inside him would do to Amber if he stayed in their fights. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to control his anger and would injure Amber in the process. And yet, avoid this as he tried, he failed on at least 12 occasions that we know of. These are the 12 incidents in which the 3 UK judges ruled he beat Amber in order to declare him a wifebeater. So, technically, the judge should have pulled his side up on this manoeuvres but nobody can explain 'why' she didn't?? There were so many incidents of this nature that played against her. I don’t understand why you assume at the beginning of this podcast that most people had friends or people around them that had a vague dislike of Amber Heard. Your experience doesn’t represent the majority of people, especially mine. This is the problem. There are a lot of manipulative points being made already in the first episode of this podcast. During the trial, I heard people say negative things about Depp and about Amber. I heard more negative things towards Depp from the media and from people I knew but the more the trial played out, specifically after some of Amber’s exposing moments during cross examination (donated vs pledged, calling TMZ, etc.) most people thought she was obviously not be honest. I personally went into the trial believing Amber Heard, but like a lot of people who were not invested on one side or the other, you couldn’t help but not support Amber. Again, I went into this being on her side, I’m not a Johnny Depp fan and I actually have never seen any of his movies because they all look kinda cringe. But come on, if you still believed her after the “pledge vs donate” back and forth or when she said she wouldn’t know how to call TMZ and expose Johnny and then went back in that and said she could of easily exposed Johnny if she wanted to. Those are just 2 examples. Her own friends don’t even mess with her anymore, her work associates have said she’s an extreme opportunist. To believe she was telling the truth… naive would be an understatement.

i personally think both of them were physically violent (e.g. heard definitely cut depp's fingertip off and depp definitely kicked heard on the plane), that both of them were psychologically abusive, but depp more so (based on his depp's insulting of heard and her costars and heard's insistence depp would not be believed as a male victim of domestic abuse) and that heard instigated most of the physical conflict (based on the marriage counsellor's testimony, as well as that video of depp smashing bottles). that being said, the majority of support for depp's account is riddled with misogyny and grievance, and is by no means motivated by facts or supporting male domestic abuse victims. the majority of conservatives bashing on heard would call any other man alleging violence from his wife weak. regardless of the actual facts of the case, heard was treated as a public figure representing domestic abuse, and the same accusations of being a gold-digger and a slut levelled at her will be levelled at every other female victim.

I've re-watched this trial numerous times and watched many analysis's on it and hands down Amber was the aggressor. According to Jen, she was traumatised etc by being in the same room as JD, so why did she choose to be there ‘staring him down’? As described in the US court. Also, if the paparazzi and the JD fans outside the court were so terrifying for Amber, why did she go out front and give a speech to the waiting crowd? Conveniently Jen doesn’t address these issues. This is just one example of the misdirection in this podcast.
Why she felt she needed to be there is competely irrelevant. How an abuse victim feels about their abuser, how they respond to their abuse, will vary from person to person. When Depp sued in the UK, Amber's reputation and credibility was on the line, she would have been given advice from her PR team (as anyone in Hollywood would) to be in attendance.

I watched the whole trial live like a podcast you listen while you work. I didn't have a Twitter (still doesn't) and it was very convincing how Amber was at fault. I am not an Andrew Tate fan or any other misogynistic trash like him either. It might be possible that there was a campaign against her. But I recall that progressive medias summary of each day if the trial didn't represent what was said and done in each day of the trial. It frustrated a lot of people. AND a lot of people were hating that amber was using the "me to" mouvement to bail her out when the trial was very daming for her. Hope this podcast will put some light into this as well.

Btw, if you followed the entire trial even to its conclusion during the appeal process, you'd know that she didn’t technically lose, nor did she lie about being abused by Depp. The evidence and ultimate outcome of both the UK and Virginia trials prove she was the victim of abuse by a cocaine addict and raging alcoholic, 22 years older than her, and she then started fighting back after years of abuse (as most victims do eventually). Over 60 organizations and PhD professionals specializing in domestic violence, intimate partner violence and sexual assault cases filed an Amicus Curiae with the Virginia appellate court acknowledging Heard was the victim of abuse. “The conduct by Mr. Depp, laid bare at trial in text messages, audio recordings, videos and his own testimony, demonstrated that in addition to physical abuse, Ms. Heard was the victim of emotional, verbal, psychological and other well documented forms of abuse” - Those organizations include the Sanctuary for Families, The DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Equality Now, Esperanza United, National Crime Victim Law Institute, C.A. The settlement was entirely in Heard’s favor, thus she ultimately didn’t lose the case. I disagree that you could call her a husband beater. Victims of DV/IPV often fight back eventually, so in a relationship in which violence has occurred by both parties, the victim and offender can be determined by the power balance in the relationship and coercive control. And looking at the facts of the case, there is not a single instance in which the power balance favored Heard, along with the evidence of Depp’s coercive control over Heard’s career through excessive jealousy. Then noticing that the first contemporaneous evidence of Depp’s abuse stretches back to 2013, whereas the first evidence of Heard’s ‘abuse’ isn’t until 2015, it becomes clear that she was the victim fighting back after years of abuse.

Depp running away from fights was him running away from having to discuss his terrible and unhealthy behaviors that Amber was confronting him about. He was running away from having to talk to Amber in order to solve their relationship issues. He was stonewalling her.
Moreover, in at least one audio, Depp says that he runs away from their fights because he fears what he might do to her if he stays, which shows that even he was afraid of what the monster inside him would do to Amber if he stayed in their fights. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to control his anger and would injure Amber in the process. And yet, avoid this as he tried, he failed on at least 12 occasions that we know of. These are the 12 incidents in which the 3 UK judges ruled he beat Amber in order to declare him a wifebeater. Not to forget the rage that he showed in Australia by raping Amber with a bottle while high and cutting his finger and using the bloody finger to write hate-graffiti about Amber on the walls of the house. This is not normal. I repeat, nothing about this is normal. This is the behavior of a highly disturbed individual who, given the chance, could have murdered Amber.

I don’t understand why you assume at the beginning of this podcast that most people had friends or people around them that had a vague dislike of Amber Heard. Your experience doesn’t represent the majority of people, especially mine. This is the problem. There are a lot of manipulative points being made already in the first episode of this podcast. During the trial, I heard people say negative things about Depp and about Amber. I heard more negative things towards Depp from the media and from people I knew but the more the trial played out, specifically after some of Amber’s exposing moments during cross examination (donated vs pledged, calling TMZ, etc.) most people thought she was obviously not be honest. I personally went into the trial believing Amber Heard, but like a lot of people who were not invested on one side or the other, you couldn’t help but not support Amber. Again, I went into this being on her side, I’m not a Johnny Depp fan and I actually have never seen any of his movies because they all look kinda cringe. But come on, if you still believed her after the “pledge vs donate” back and forth or when she said she wouldn’t know how to call TMZ and expose Johnny and then went back in that and said she could of easily exposed Johnny if she wanted to. Those are just 2 examples. Her own friends don’t even mess with her anymore, her work associates have said she’s an extreme opportunist. To believe she was telling the truth… naive would be an understatement.

I didn’t start to see hate towards Amber until she took the stand and especially after her cross-examination. Her own lawyer almost gave up during re-direct and literally looked to the sky and said “jeez I’m trying..”. i personally think both of them were physically violent (e.g. heard definitely cut depp's fingertip off and depp definitely kicked heard on the plane), that both of them were psychologically abusive, but depp more so (based on his depp's insulting of heard and her costars and heard's insistence depp would not be believed as a male victim of domestic abuse) and that heard instigated most of the physical conflict (based on the marriage counsellor's testimony, as well as that video of depp smashing bottles). that being said, the majority of support for depp's account is riddled with misogyny and grievance, and is by no means motivated by facts or supporting male domestic abuse victims. the majority of conservatives bashing on heard would call any other man alleging violence from his wife weak. regardless of the actual facts of the case, heard was treated as a public figure representing domestic abuse, and the same accusations of being a gold-digger and a slut levelled at her will be levelled at every other female victim.
About time someone looked into this because it was pretty obvious. Jen Robinson explains why Amber felt the need to testify in the UK, but she doesn’t explain why Amber was in attendance for the ENTIRE 3 weeks, she only needed to be there for 3 days. According to Jen, she was traumatised etc by being in the same room as JD, so why did she choose to be there ‘staring him down’? As described in the US court. Also, if the paparazzi and the JD fans outside the court were so terrifying for Amber, why did she go out front and give a speech to the waiting crowd? Conveniently Jen doesn’t address these issues. This is just one example of the misdirection in this podcast.

Why she felt she needed to be there is competely irrelevant. How an abuse victim feels about their abuser, how they respond to their abuse, will vary from person to person. When Depp sued in the UK, Amber's reputation and credibility was on the line, she would have been given advice from her PR team (as anyone in Hollywood would) to be in attendance.

I watched the whole trial live like a podcast you listen while you work. I didn't have a Twitter (still doesn't) and it was very convincing how Amber was at fault. I am not an Andrew Tate fan or any other misogynistic trash like him either.
It might be possible that there was a campaign against her. But I recall that progressive medias summary of each day if the trial didn't represent what was said and done in each day of the trial. It frustrated a lot of people. AND a lot of people were hating that amber was using the "me to" mouvement to bail her out when the trial was very daming for her.

It's not revisionism... the use of bots and real people that trolled Heard was obvious even from the start. The massive amount of comments that repeated the exact same phrase ridiculing Heard long before a verdict, and the amount of disinformation youtube videos with clickbait titles was overwhelmingly flooding my feed during the Virginia trial when I never even searched for anything remotely similar.
Btw, if you followed the entire trial even to its conclusion during the appeal process, you'd know that she didn’t technically lose, nor did she lie about being abused by Depp. The evidence and ultimate outcome of both the UK and Virginia trials prove she was the victim of abuse by a cocaine addict and raging alcoholic, 22 years older than her, and she then started fighting back after years of abuse (as most victims do eventually).
Over 60 organizations and PhD professionals specializing in domestic violence, intimate partner violence and sexual assault cases filed an Amicus Curiae with the Virginia appellate court acknowledging Heard was the victim of abuse. “The conduct by Mr. Depp, laid bare at trial in text messages, audio recordings, videos and his own testimony, demonstrated that in addition to physical abuse, Ms. Heard was the victim of emotional, verbal, psychological and other well documented forms of abuse” - Those organizations include the Sanctuary for Families, The DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Equality Now, Esperanza United, National Crime Victim Law Institute, C.A. Goldberg PLLC, The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and many others.
Immediately after those organizations filed with the Virginia appellate court, along with the Appeal Brief filed by Heard’s lawyers, Depp made a settlement for the entire case for just $1m (giving up the $10+million) because he was going to lose the appeal. The settlement supersedes the incorrect and contradictory jury verdict and was entirely in Heard’s favor with no NDA in effect.
Not to mention the UK judgment in which Depp was found ‘guilty’ of domestic violence against Heard on 12 counts (under Chase Libel Law Level 1) in 129-page detailed judgment, which was then upheld by two different high-court appellate judges in two other courts.

As I and even the podcast acknowledges, there was/is indeed a lot of organic support for Depp but was/is obvious to me and many others that bot activity was included, hence why a podcast is being done about the subject. Both Depp and Heard used PR teams, but Depp’s included a massive bot campaign obvious by the fact of hundreds and even thousands of comments on clickbait disinformation videos etc that were identical, verbatim, from new accounts with no other history. That is obvious bot activity done to artificially inflate the support for Depp (or ridicule of Heard) to appeal to the logical fallacy ‘ad populum’ (an appeal to a fallacious position which is based on believing something is true or good simply because many or majority of people think so)
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by saying the UK judgment was an aberration. It was a legitimate case trial in which Depp was suing The Sun magazine for calling him a wife-beater. Because of that, the case was under UK libel law “Chase Level 1” meaning, “imputing guilt of the wrongdoing”. Therefore, the Defendants took the “Statutory Defense of Truth” meaning, the burden of proof was upon the Defense (rather than on the Claimant) to prove that what they wrote (Johnny Depp is a wife-beater”) was true. They then proved that to the civil standard using all the same evidence and more that was in the Virginia trial. Thus, it was ruled that Depp had committed domestic violence against Heard on 12 counts, and that calling Depp a wife-beater was substantially true, and therefore not defamatory.
There is also no crafting of a narrative concerning the fact Depp made a settlement during the Virginia trial appeal, giving up the jury verdict (which was incorrect and contradictory to begin with, btw), immediately after over 60 organizations and PhD professionals specializing in DV/IPV/SA cases jointly filed with the Virginia appellate court acknowledging Heard was the victim of abuse. The settlement was entirely in Heard’s favor, thus she ultimately didn’t lose the case.
I disagree that you could call her a husband beater. Victims of DV/IPV often fight back eventually, so in a relationship in which violence has occurred by both parties, the victim and offender can be determined by the power balance in the relationship and coercive control. And looking at the facts of the case, there is not a single instance in which the power balance favored Heard, along with the evidence of Depp’s coercive control over Heard’s career through excessive jealousy.
Then noticing that the first contemporaneous evidence of Depp’s abuse stretches back to 2013, whereas the first evidence of Heard’s ‘abuse’ isn’t until 2015, it becomes clear that she was the victim fighting back after years of abuse.
