@@PapitoQinn They exist outright in HR/MD. In fact, not only was Smart Vision a aug (lets you see through walls much like Rank 3/4 vision enhancement) but eye prosthetics existed. Adam himself even had them and they were so well designed that they could be easily mistaken as a real eye, had Adam not had those sunglasses up 24/7. A trailer for HR even had a commonplace person with eye augs look entirely normal during a hiking trip and simply only betray their cybernetic state when the man used them to snap a picture (eyes started to have their internal components spin during the process) to send to his fiancee. Otherwise, he looked entirely normal. Various trailers also show the hiker as well as Adam's eyes in this way. Only two explanations I got is that... 1.) This was made during the era where such intrusive ideas for cyborgs were cool, and now that we're past that point, the appeal has greatly degraded. 2.) Anna drew the short straw and got the EXTREMELY CHEAP augmentations, causing her not very glamorous appearance. Had MJ12/UNATCO offered the budget to afford higher quality augmentations, she would most likely just need a coat to conceal her arms and she would be near indistinguishable from the common unaugmented person.

That moment that with the Canon augmentations from HR/MD taken into account, she'd look far prettier then here. No need for that weird eye aug either.
You've gotten me thinking. I don't remember any visual prosthesis in HR/MD. Maybe she lost the eye?
