Easily my favorite artist of all time, I love this woman in so many ways unimaginable, where do I do to sit down for a beer and have her music being blasted? WHERE?!!!!!
It's sad to me that she finds this album so embarrassing and mostly doesn't acknowledge it. It certainly is rougher than her later stuff, but in some ways that's a good thing I think. It communicates a sort of raw visceral emotion that I think is very real and powerful in its own way.
