    What do you think of the head camera view? Too busy?

    I enjoyed the music, the scenery, the information, and your relationship with your K9 companion (I was actually worried coming down the mountain when I didn't see her for a few minutes). Good show! You earned another subscriber.

      The whole balun joke is hilarious... kind of like the "HQD" Speaker Wire Antenna ™

    Good video Jerry. I activated Reyes about five years ago in 2014. I wasn't paying attention when I left the summit and walked about 15 minutes in the wrong direction before I realized I was on the wrong trail. LOL.

    Glad to finally get you in the chaser log! I can't set up nearly that fast using a linked dipole and heavier duty mast. I figure 20 minutes before the antenna, radio, key, and notepad is ready. Add a few if I want to take footwear off to dry out feet....

      Turn & burn.. i do prefer to take my time but sometimes when I get behind schedule I have to knock it out. Call sign for reference?

    Tnx Jerry great video. My end fed 53 feet /12 feet counterpoise. Inverted L 15 feet up a pole from rig rest horizontal as trees allow. KX3 tunes it very easily on 17 20 30 40. vk5cz..

      Gotta love how versatile the KX2 is. I’m thinking about trying a random wire setup for fun.

      The GoPro H7 black is a phenomenal little camera with excellent audio quality & image stabilization. The voice activation is fun to use too. I usually shoot at 1080 but upscale to 4K. This one is shot at 1080 & loaded that way.

    Thank you for sharing, Jerry. Does your pretty dog porter know the way of trail? She is very clever. JP1QEC mot.

      She seems to be quite the trail hound and even on faint trails she knows our exact path on the way out. She’s impressive and my best hiking partner 👍🏻

      Hey Larry - testing out the Osprey Atmos 50 liter. So far it felt great but this coming weekend will be the real trial before I fully get behind it as I load it up for a couple of days at high elevation in the Sierras. I’ll add it to my links once I feel sure it’s earned it.

      KG6HQD Jerry I’ll stand by for your review.

      @@W7LDT Well so far it's very impressive but it was a short hike and not loaded for a couple nights. That will happen this weekend so I'll be able to compare it to my Kestrel 38 and the Osprey Axos 58l too since one of the guys just bought that pack for this trip. I'll be sure to make my thoughts on it known lol.

    How long is your wire?

    • @KG6HQDJerrySOTA
      @KG6HQDJerrySOTA  5 років тому

      Hi Steven - this antenna is straight from the KX2 user manual and is a simple 25’ up and another 25’ on the ground as the CP. seems to work very well but I’m still trying it in a few varying setups. What do you use?
