I am a nerdy, 59 year old mom who was given a speed cube by my son. I used to love it in the 80's and wanted to see what I could remember and also re-learn the skills. I have a few questions; I may not see the full picture but why are there not more females pictures at the competitions? Is it more a guys skill? We have smaller hands and I feel I could do better with a smaller cube. After 2 weeks, my best time is 39 secs. I am loving this new obsession. Thanks
I'm very happy with the success of the MGC series. Way back around 2015, almost all of my batchmates have at least a YJ Yulong (the very first version) , and that access to a decent speedcube at that time would not be possible if not for its very affordable price. As a result, it really boosted the speedcubing community in our region.
So my great grandma (she LOVES puzzles) got a hold of my Gan 11, and since she lives out of state, I left it because I didn't know where it was. About 6 months later, she texted me and said "hey sweetie 🥰, where did you get the wonderful little puzzle cube?" And I told her the cubicle. I visit her around 6 months later, and she has a shelf of gans, tornadoes, and Rubik's cubes. All of course are solved. She managed to teach herself how to solve them, and for that she has to figure out how to use her computer. Her PB is about minute and a half, but this woman is 87 years old. She's a legend, gotta love her. Now every year I get the newest cube in the cubicle so that's a plus.
Note: the Aofu 7x7 is gloss, not matte. The Aoshi is frosted. Also, I’ve spent $100’s on cubes this year, and how the CH MoYu WRM Maglev didn’t make the list blows my mind. I have yet to find a better 3x3.
Same, I still main a CH WRM Maglev and have broken many PR singles and averages since getting it, including an average from just last week. I enjoy it even more than the Tornado V2 & V3, and RS3 M 2020.
I honestly fell in love with the Tornado V3 it beat out my old main by a mile and despite still trying to control it since it was the Pioneer, I love it
I only do NxN events (not like I'm good at any events, but I only practice NxN events) My top picks are: 3×3: Tornado V3, though an honourable mention to the WRM 2019 4×4: AoSu WRM. I personally don't like the MGC4, but I can see why others like it 5×5: AoChuang WRM, though the Valk5 is tied. I don't personally enjoy the MGC5 or the DaYan 6×6: Haven't tried the AoShi WRM, an Angstrom one is arriving for Christmas, but out of the other 6×6s, the Shadow V2 is my favourite. It's not widely used, but I like it more than the MGC6. 7×7: I have tried the AoFu WRM, and it's incredible. The best one I have is the MGC7. TLDR: Tornado V3 + WRM big cubes lol

Cubing Innovation: put magnets between the edge pieces and the center pieces. Space is a bit of an issue, but I think this would help as it would pull from farther away than edge-corner magnets
I have the rs2m, wrm maglev, qiyi ms 4x4, mgc 5x5, mgc 6x6, and probably getting mgc 7x7 for Christmas. Qiyi ms pyraminx, cyclone boys skewb m, mgc square one and yuhu v2 megaminx. Edit i got mgc 7x7 and a shengshou clock for Christmas. So that is my main puzzles.
I main the MoYu RS2M Evolution for 2x2 and I can verify that it is worth the deal. It functions so nicely and has everything you need. However, it might be a little too fast out of the box for some people so you might need to slow it down a bit
Good video. The only one that I disagree with is the Dayan 5x5; I hated how that thing couldn't corner cut at all. The MGC is ok, but I had a WRM 5x5 that I really enjoyed which unfortunately broke. These days I use the MGC and the mini YJ 5x5, both are solid; but I am waiting for the next big 5x5 release. Maybe moyu will refresh their 5x5 with their latest WRM technology (love the 6x6 WRM).
@@murginforti4113 the nezha has a ton of nice features but it isn't flexible at all. And if you're used to a cube that can flex and corner cut even slightly, you'll find that the nezha feels awkward. That said, I am sure I could have gotten used to it but, it just didn't seem worth it with the mgc and arm being out there.

The aofu wrm literally sucks for its size. I got a dnf avg for a dnf solve in the last comp, but the feel of the cube is just wow. I only had issues with the size.
I really need to get a GAN 251 at some point. I want to get better at 2x2, but the thing that's always bugged me about it is that the cubes are so darn small!
prices of cubes in the country i live in are low so the price difference of the mgc 5x5 and the dayan nezha is not that big. I'm considering getting the dayan nezha but there are considerable number of not so good reviews about it. Unlike the mgc, i want to get the BEST based on the performance and not of the price. Which one should i get?
100% tornado v3. It's corner cutting is awesome, a wr holder uses it, and it has corner to core magnets with the flagship and pioneer. However, if you have only 20$ to spend, buy the ball core super rs3m.
my tianma was very good at first and then my friend used it and kept it for like half a week and then i got it back and it was the worst cube in my collection, i was mad at him and he said he didnt do anything and then i realized what he had did, He Deconstructed It And Only Put Back 2 Of The Magents (Im Talking About The Core And The Maglev One Has Like 5 Maglev Magents Instead Of A Spring) And Just Kept The Rest And Tried To Make His Shit Cube Magnetic, Im Still Mad At Him To This Day And Later A Realized, HE LOST AN EDGE PIECE AND REPLACED IT WITH SOME RANDOM ASS NEXCUBE EDGE PIECE AND THOUGHT I WOULDNT NOTICE, I Made Him Buy Me A New One, He Said No And That It Wasnt His Fault, So When I Went To His House I Stole His Gan 12m Leap, He Still Hasnt Realized To This Day That It Was Me, After That The Next Time I Came Over There I Put It Under His Bed But Stole The Spring Pieces So When He Used It, It Just F**king Died And It Was The Funniest Thing Ever.
