I ordered this product, and replaced the tear in my metal pole wall with the Hopkins wall patch kit, the pool has been back in operation and full of water for over a year now no problems
As a above ground pool owner for 27 years, I can assure you that if you buy one, you're going to be out of luck and on your own when it comes to repairs. A pool installer lives 4 houses from me and won't touch my pool. They would rather sell you a new pool than repair the one you have. My wife's sister lives just two houses further and needed work on her pool and the pool guy wanted to sell her a new pool rather than fix it. She found someone who would fix it for her and it was shoddy repair that only lasted a year and then the pool collapsed. I have an Ester Williams that had a good wall warranty but THEY went out of business before the warranty expired. Smh! I'm currently in the process of installing my 3rd liner! And btw, I bought a pool size that was discontinued a few years after I bought it so the liners are harder to get. I had the new liner special ordered to fit. After this one dies, I'M DONE WITH POOLS!
Hi great video!!! I’m dealing with same problem wth my pool, one side caved in, by watching your video you hv given me some hope!! Where are u from? I need to repair a rust hole where there are no fittings. is it possible to partial drain and only pull liner back enough to access the area and only do a small patch say 12"x12" square
David I am trying to make my 16x34 in ground pool smaller. It has steel walls and sand bottom deepend small end . Question ? I want to make it 16x 24. I understand I will need to change the lines and liner and back fill. But how are the steel walls connected ? Is it doable ? You ever do this type of work ? Tx for any inform David or anyone on this tread
We tell the customer at that point but a new pool of wall. For the money they are going to pay yinz it will be around the same just to buy a new wall and it will look better.
Looking for someone to do this job on a 24’ round above ground pool in Central New Jersey, Somerset County. Do you know of any Pool Repair places that use your product that I can hire to do the job? Also do you make a Stainless Steel Service Panel? I rather have stainless Steel so I never have to deal with this Skimmer wall again. I believe our liner is still good I should mention also. It is May 18,2022 Wednesday and our pool is still Winter Covered and holding water below the Skimmer and return line area. I am not able to do the job.I rather pay a professional to do the job for us.
I guess no one is going to answer me here. Why even have this video on You Tube if you are not going to bother to answer a potential customer? I saw just the other day you sell this product on EBay. I asked a question there also and no response. Disappointed.
@@avenged06x He actually answered me on Ebay a week or so ago where he sells his plain steel panels online not here as everyone reading can see. I guess he never checks here. When I asked on Ebay if he manufactures a Service Panel in Stainless Steel he answered a big “NO” not another word as to where I could get one in Stainless Steel. The plain Steel one I would of maybe purchased if it was made with stainless steel after paying NJ Tax and Shipping on Ebay would of cost me $700. His regular steel panels are not cheap. At that price point I started looking for a Brand New Pool instead only because the Wilbar Morada Pool I purchased 9 years ago cost me around $1475 just for the Pool with new liner, skimmer and return line fitting. Things today have gone up way more as many know with inflation because of Biden. Well my story ended up pretty well. I tried to be patient since April when I first realized a replacement panel would be needed to save our Pool. I found a Pool Installer here in NJ a little better then 3 weeks ago who installed a used Stainless Steel Panel just yesterday that came from another pool that rusted out. It was in perfect condition. Stainless Steel never rusts out. They did the whole job including install a New Liner and new full size skimmer and return line fitting that the SS Service Panel required. Cost me a little over double the cost of the plain steel panel Hoffman Pool sells here including the Labor. I am in the process of slowly filling my pool since yesterday with my garden hose. Glad I got it done. The walls all around the Pool were clean and new looking except for the area around where the skimmer and return line were located that was cut out for the replacement Stainless Steel Service Panel.
I drilled mine from inside the pool, when you move the wall out of position you have to move the sand back, when you push the send back the metal particles will most likely be covered up by the sand my patch has been working perfectly for over a year now
DON'T DO IT!!! We repaired our 24 round above ground exactly by the instructions on this video, except I used galvanized sheet metal instead of an aluminum patch panel because I couldn't get a patch panel in NC. It lasted 2 weeks. The day before it collapsed my wife, both daughters, both son in laws, and 4 grandchildren were in that pool. I thank God it didn't collapse while they were in there. It's not safe. Just buy another pool.
Mines been working perfectly for over a year now, it sounds like you installed the product incorrectly, Or you did not get out all of the damaged area, when the pool is manufactured it has a seam created at the factory, the seam you create with the patch panel is no different than the factory seam if done correctly
If you do it right, it works!! I just replaced an eight foot section. You need to inspect the rest of your pool for failure marks. I dug all around the base of the pool and treated all the rusted areas, then sealed it. I also added two aluminum support strips on each side where the bolts go for added support. I'll get another 10 years out of her now..
Keith is an idiot, and did not install the product in the video at all, Instead he used some galvanized sheet metal from an unknown source and probably did not inspect the rest of the structure for tears, don’t be an idiot like Keith and it will be just fine, mine has been working great for two years now
Outstanding video....real professional and easy to understand!

Need to replace my pool wall. This gentleman makes is look easy. Thank you so much for the video. Helpful
Very good job with this, thank you!
My pool wall broke. Was rusted, had no idea of the rust on the wall! Thanks to this vid, i know what to do. You've earnt a sub
It's starts to rust get rid of it . I did and I enjoy having the extra yard space and house insurance went down
Great explanation

If its a steel wall inground pool they are bolted together.
Can't be done because the bottom ring is already the larger size.
Has anyone made contact with Hopkins pools ? I can not get any link to work or find any contact info.
Did you use rivets, screws or bolts??? it was not mentioned in the video thank you
Do you have to remove the old panel can't you just go over it?

It is called a pool kit, you can get from a pool store . That was the way I took it.

Where you able to find it?

My pool busted out in one area about 2 feet long on a vertical line. I’ll have to try this.

@@ikecostner1 if its that bad we won't even touch it unless we are ripping it down and putting up a new one. Its just not worth it.
Justin Kelly right, which is why I went with another company when the pool company tried to tell me we needed a whole new pool,

Why are you drilling inside the pool ? , all those metal shaving's now will be under the liner at some point
David Frisch not if you do a thorough job like he probably has.
