That's good to take care of your mental health, especially in tourism work. My son is in VAIL Colorado /Vail Resorts, and he stated he knows deep down with things not being organized , and rude management, and watching managers go at it with each other. That this is not going to last til October for him. He decided that he will go full time with his now part time job within this week. They offer better pay , better incentives , and they offer housing as well. It really is a win win for him, and I am happy he made the best decision for him, especially when you know the job is not a good fit. Why wait. He did not give them a 2 week notice. He said staff there feel absolutely disposable. He has been there 2 months and met really nice people employees there though. Bad management will run off good workers.

Omg! Everything you said is sooo true! I experienced the same exact thing! Im sorry your son went thru all of that, but I'm so glad he's somewhere that he likes now!

Not you trying to square up to the bee lmao! that took me straight out 😹😹😹. I'm a firm believer in doing what makes you happy(It's the free spirit in me) and I don't care what I'm being paid. If you found one, you can definitely find another if not better job that suits you better. So kudos to you girly! 💞 Thanks for the update and I may bump into you in Colorado lol. That's where my first seasonal job will be. 🙃

I almost got a job at Estate park in Colorado but my nerves got the best of me. I really wanna try out seasonal work but I’m too scared and nervous. I really wanna find a job in Alaska! I’m really glad I found your channel. 🙂

👋🏼 Whenever you're ready I think Estes is a great place to go to, especially for someone new to seasonal work. But I may be biased since I went there for my first seasonal job. I've also heard great things about Alaska and hope to go one summer.

Just be aware the YMCA of the Rockies just upped their room and board costs for their employees from $400 a month to $800 a month and you no longer can opt out of the meal plan. I loved it there but had to leave after I saw my first paycheck after the change. I can't live on 400 dollars a month.

Really?? That's bad news. I'm supposed to interview tomorrow and now I'm second guessing if I should find another seasonal gig with lower or free housing.

Tis true unfortunately 😔. It's quite honestly the highest room and board I've seen to date, and although I love the place it's a huge problem that will keep people from coming/returning.

@@bri_nicolex so is it really even worth the flight there financially speaking? Prices for my location are around 400 round trip to the y. I was going to stay for 3 months but if the take home pay is less than 500 a month after board deductions I may be better finding another location.

I'd hate to say it isn't worth because despite the negatives I do like it here. However if it's going to cost you $400 rt and you're only going to stay 3 months it actually might not make sense financially. If you're trying to save money for a specific purpose, or if the monthly take home isn't enough to cover your bills, you might me better off looking at coolworks for other options. Just my opinion of course, I don't want to steer you away from working here, but I also think people tend to have a better time when the money makes sense for them.

I wanted to quit my seasonal job so badly this summer, It’s been a hell of a summer and my mental health took a toll. But I’m not quitting because of the team I work with , but I understand completely 💙

Do u recommend seasonal work if I don’t have a license or car ?

It's definitely doable, I did it for almost all of the jobs I had. But I will say it's a bit harder to find a good place where you can get around either with public transportation or with an employee shuttle system. For the winter I'd suggest the ski resort towns like Aspen, Breckenridge and beaver Creek, they tend to have good bus transit.
