- Imagine being a kid in the projects of Washington, DC who is so enamored with a singer that you have her on your imaginary talk show weekly. IMAGINE, some 20 years later, being able to interview that same superstar on an actual TV show for 55 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS. That's what happened when BET/Black Entertainment Television (thanks Cindy Mahmoud) let me create LYRICALLY SPEAKING and my 1st interview with my idol, my icon, my Queen of Song, The Sophisticated Lady of Soul, Ms. Natalie Cole!!!

Oh Kevin! Thank you for this video. I was at the Hollywood Walk of Fame when Natalie got her Star.

@@KevinETaylor At the end of the month I will be attending a 5 day bee keeper convention at the UMASS Campus Center where Natalie first got paid to do what she loved doing. Singing. I am very proud to have been that lyrical Angel on her shoulder who believed in her. Years later I asked her to perform on my Burbank production "ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE". Unfortunately her schedule conflicted. "GLORY-CLORY'" was a one of the proposed tunes.
