I appreciate the reviewing of a lower model. It's often hard to come by reviews of average machines. Most are of the flagship models, which would be the equivalent of car review sites only reviewing super Cars that everyone can't afford.

Good job again! Nice to see someone reviewing a machine lots of people can afford and a very comprehensive review at that. Good on Polaris for making it easy to access the battery and fuses. I can speak from personal experience of how important that is especially when you're on an ATV camping trip a few hundred km out in the bush. I'd love to see you review a Can Am Commander either the base model or the XT to see what you think of it now that's it's almost 10 years old and still going strong.

Good Review! Watching it go through that ice water hole is one of the reasons why I bought mine. The other is the overall width. Being the midsize 570 Ranger you can zigzag through the trees if needed. Thanks

I have a ranger 500. Biggest regret is not getting the 570! I work my machine pretty hard. 10 extra hp and hopefully just as much if not more tq. would make a world of difference.
The track width is about 52/54" or so wide so you can squeeze down 4 wheeler trails if your brave.
My bed is already falling apart. It sees 500-700lbs. on the daily.

Pound for pound its still a great SXS if you plan to use it mostly for work tasks.
One request I would make is for Polaris to provide half doors as a standard option on all models.

    • @GetToughOrDie
      @GetToughOrDie 3 роки тому +1

Oh they give half doors.. LITERALLY!! YOU ONLY GET HALF THE DOOR! As you likely know already they leave that little triangle cut out that you have to pay another $150 for two flimsy pieces of plastic to fill that part of the door! WHY!! I DON'T GET IT!! MAKE IT STANDARD AND ADD THE $150 THE WHOLE PRICE!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY'RE NOT LOSING ANY MONEY THESE PEOPLE HAVE MILITARY CONTRACTS NOW WIPING THEIR ASS WITH DOLLAR BILLS I THINK!! LOL.. they're an American company and America has supported them through and through and I believe it's time that they start giving a little more because they're damn well charging for it! THESE THINGS COST WHAT A HOUSE USED TO 40 YEARS AGO ..SOME HOUSES..SMALLER ONES. BUT I MEAN YOU'RE PAYING FOR A BRAND NEW TRUCK AT $30,000 THAT IS JUST ABSURD THIS IS A TOY AND IT'S JUST HARD TO BELIEVE. Anyway I agree with you 100% buddy!

This model is my first sxs. use at the deer lease. I ride fast in loose sand and slow through the rocky areas with small gullies. Haul lots of weight in it. It’s a great machine. If hauling 300 lbs or more, I preload the rear springs. Electronic power works good too. It’s a work vehicle that can be used as recreation. Only drawback, these things are loud.

I own one. Good over all sxs. Suspension and ride kind of suck. I put Bronco gas shock at rear, 2" lift kit. What made the biggest improvement to ride quality was mounting 27" Big Horn tires. My wife made a comment the other day on how much better the ride was. Only draw back to the larger tires is I rub on the inside front fender on a good bump. My solution was to mount Superatv 1.5" offset front A-arms. They are mechanically noise ( unfortunately, probably should have bought the 800 twin. Quieter) so I add a hunter's secondary muffler. It's better.

I bought a 2019 Ranger 500, and it has been amazing. I would have liked to get the 570, but didn't think $700 for 12 extra HP would be worth it. I have taken to my mountain property and it can go anyway my RZR 900 can go. It pulls any of my trailers with decent weight on them in low. Good value for the money, and I think it is fun to ride when I want a change of pace from my RZR.

    Love your reviews!
Just purchased a 2020 Polaris Ranger 500, thinking it would be the a good upgrade to my 2005 atv. I like my new toy, lots of storage, plenty of power, especially on low.
2 things that I find disappointing; the first is going to my hunting cabin, trail is really rough and lots of rocks, it kept hitting the bottom, it’s pretty low from the ground, I really don’t think this thing will last me a long time going to my cabin.
The second thing that is extremely important in our case, is that going down hill when letting go of the gas, the engine doesn’t decompress, doesn’t hold you, so it’s as if it goes on neutral, you need to rely only on your brakes going down hill on steep road, which can very dangerous. We had similar issues with a early model Polaris back in the days, they were dome of the first automatics. All our atvs are automatic by now, none have that issue.
I’ll try fitting in bigger tires to solve my 1st issue, but don’t know what to do about my 2nd one…

Have had the same one for 2 years 1400 miles. Used the 5 year extended warranty 4 times already. It’s not made to last too long. Blown front end, battery is junk, gear selector is difficult to use, payload isn’t too great for weight, engine light comes on often, the mud gets caked up into the electronics real bad. I wanted to say thank you I know this is an older video but I am looking for a model that is somewhere between 2015-2018 so with that being said it's this model and I wanted to know what can it really do most of these guys spend 20 minutes walking around the machine and showing you features that I can show in 5 minutes as you did doesn't take long to show a few cup holders to dash you know the basics get that in and then show us what it can do that's why we're buying these machines and I wanted to know what it can do in the woods I know there's some guys in my area of northeastern Pennsylvania who have these and well they take them darn near anywhere. BUT... They have added lifts suspension and bigger tires. So that takes care of the suspension travel problems also they increase the strength of the a arms that's where they got the clearance lift from and once you do that it changes this machine into something that is more sport capable. But I thank you for this video this was a good job hats off buddy

If you're wanting tray space for gear I would go for the Polaris. I would recommend the ranger 500 over the 570 if you're just doing light work. I have a 2018 ranger 500 and it's perfect for me on a new zealand dairy farm. Towing trailers or carrying fencing gear, hay bales or dogs just whatever you want to throw in the back. The 520 pioneer has limited room for carrying gear also storage space in the cab is pretty bad with Honda. Our pioneer 700 will handle towing bigger loads then the ranger 500 but put her in low range and I haven't had a problem. Hope that helps

1/2 the price and maybe I would consider it. It is a little utility side by side. It's not impressive. 44HP is not impressive. The thing I agree that was nice was, the receiver was a 2inch. GC was too low, no winch attached when it gets stuck.. yah, not good for that price range imo. While the tires were small as you say compared to rivals in that class, they did compliment it well enough. Seen a LOT of machines where the sizes are tiny as heck or even too stuffed in. Make a video on a Yamaha Viking, Mule Pro FXT, etc. more utility models like this. Y’all do too many racing side by sides. I want something for moderate trail riding and work not desert racing.

Nice side by side. I like Honda because of reliabilty and quality. I am too old for these toys. Keep my Taco with AC and heat.

If polaris thinks I'm going to pay 10 grand for a side-by-side utility that doesn't have d rings in the bed they're f****** crazy. if you have enough space for the side-by-side you may as well buy a small pickup truck for fucksake, LOL 😂😂😂

There’s plenty of room for two layers of brinks. That’s not a very good test.

    Overpriced golf cart

If you can add 3-400lbs in the back of a golf cart, add two 200lb riders and make it up a hill or down a muddy trail id be insanely impressed plus brand golf carts are a ripoff for what you get.

Didn't know golf carts had four wheel drive and a rear diff lock
