    Supper explanations and very useful tips. Thank you. You explained the right box in the pop up to use for controlling highlights - what is with the box on the left ? BTW could be used as Black-to-White as a memory gimmick ;-) Just a thought :)

      The left side uses the brightness levels of the layer you currently have selected, instead of the layers underneath it. I barely ever use it, so I didn't bother talking about it in the video. 🙂

    Do you have a video on sky replacement? I love watching these videos before I was only using affinity on my iPad and then after the stimulus I bought a 2020 MacBook Air and got affinity photo on that.

      While I too like AP, I can't help but recommend Luminar4 from Skylum for the simplest method of doing perfectly accurate for the most complicated sky replacement with a click and a few movements of sliders. Lots of tutorials available also for the product. Lots of tutorials on how to do this in AP also.

    I have a question, would the blend ranges work the same way if the adjustment layers like brightness/contrast and recolour were clipped to the main layer?

      Good question. Yes, blend ranges works exactly the same with layers that are clipped as child layers.

    blend ranges are very useful. but to my mind, the sky looked best before the editing. brighten up this little church or barn or what this is, might have been enough. in any case, thank you for your many tutorials!

    HELP: Windows 10 said it could not open download link as it did not recognize the format? Could you maybe look into how we can download the link in Windows 10?

      Honestly, I've used "Source Layer" like twice. Ever. I've used "underlying layer" hundreds of times. But maybe someday I will make a tutorial for source layer too. 🙂
