I love this movie, I own it on dvd and I remember bringing it to my school in grade 3, 4 and 5 and we watched it during lunch time when we would watch movies during lunch it was a tradition, and every student would bring movies and i brought this one
It was one of my personal favourite movies growing up too. Can't believe X Men's Shawn Ashmore played Terry very well! Terry was one of my favourite childhood movies growing up in elementary school too!
My parents remember when the marathon of hope first started , my mom was 16 almost 17 & my dad was 20 almost 21 , they both watched him on tv. Love for Terry to do what he did & wanting to make a difference ❤❤
I remember watching the Terry Fox story years ago on HBO. He was such a positive voice for cancer research. I wish he would have been able to make his run. I got to see his van at the museum of British Columbia, and got to see his statue in the park in Victoria Island BC. He was such an inspiration to the people of Canada. It is good to know that the Terry Fox foundation is still raising money for cancer research. I would have loved to have met him in person. God Bless you Terry Fox, God Bless you.
I actually remember when the Terry Fox film from 1983 was release in the UK an Ireland in 1983, I was 8 years old. I found it here on UA-cam only last year, didn't know about this film. Its pretty good. Great how they now can use CGI to make it look like the actor has one leg. The actor in the 1983 film was actually an amputee himself. He was real good but I guess he decided afterwards that acting was not something he wanted to pursue full time.
The 1983 Terry Fox film with Eric Fryer and Robert Duvall was the first one. Tell your MP, the Federal Cabinet and the Bank of Canada, the decision is supposed to be made soon, put Terry on the new Canadian $5 bill. His story is superior to the others up for consideration.
I know why he was coughing because his cancer spared to to his lungs and when the doctor said he had cancer he was really upset and his family was really worried about it too and terry’s sister was very upset about terry

That's right. Actor Eric Fryer lost his right leg to cancer, just as Terry himself had. He played him well, but I do prefer this version of the story.
