- It took 3 YEARS of living in New Zealand to finally take a trip to that island south of South Island, Stewart Island/Rakiura.
Ironically enough, with the the borders shutdown in Aotearoa, Stewart Island has seen record-breaking numbers of nationals visiting the island, many of whom had never been despite living in NZ their entire lives!

Nice to see Stewart island again, we loved it there! Mind you, we took the boat which wasn’t fun to say the least. Next time I think we might opt for the plane.
Oh I've heard too many stories of sea sickness resulting from that crossing!
@@MarkRobles I’ve been on many boats but none as wild as this one. I thought I had sea legs but I turned grey. Holding on for dear life as well. But Stewart island made it worthwhile. Someone said, it is either one hour of terror or 20 mins of sheer hell. 🤭
When I flew to Oban mamy years ago it was in an amphibious plane, landing in the water where those kayaks were laid out

Question for you that has nothing to do with this video. You've promoted "Book Me" in the past. My question is: what other companies are there in New Zealand?
The only other site I can think of is GrabOne (new.grabone.co.nz). It's less excursion oriented than BookMe, but does offer excursion deals and is worth checking out when rolling into a new town/city 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
