Varivas emailed me after i made this video that my ‘i_fish’ coupon adds another 10% on top of the current sale! Now thats really a nice deal. I dont make anything from the coupon, just passing it to you!
No commission, but Varivas should send you some more "demo" product... I am off to buy some of this line. I was holding off for a good discount. Harder is better for my slow pitch small metal pitching. You should do a video and explain PE line diameter vs USA lb line ratings.
I fished this line more this weekend and I really love how its always straight from the rod tip down and how hard the thumps feel. I think i will order another spool of this. It's not a trout magnet line where u flick 1 gram things in the air and u just need thin line, but for 2 gram head with 2 inch keitech its amazin, and i can boat flip fish all day and no need to tie leaders
@@ifishcatfish Yes. For my light stuff, I transitioned away from leaders, back the spool with some cheap braid and then tie on the rest with the fluro I want to use. If I had a boat (you), I would be moving towards harder line and just semi-vertical jig. The harder line helps prevents the hook from coming back onto itself.
believe it or not, there was a huge pontoon tied to this bridge, jigging for crappie with livescope and minnows, and got SKUNKED! Maybe the pontoon on top is scaring them, but i noticed crappie don't attack lures dropping from the sky. I have watched it on livescope. Drop on their head just spooks them, except some small fish that are stupid. But cast in front of them, and then swim it horizontally around them, and they go in attack mode. I don't think i have a single video where i fish crappie just vertical jiggin under the boat. Sometimes they hit under the boat, but they were chasing for a long time, and when they see the lure try to run for surface, only then attack.
Thanks for the heads up and the discount code! Going to try out their AAA Ganoa Fluoro. I'm curious how it performs against the old reliable Seaguar R18 LTD.
I am using absolute 14lb test for my all around bass fishing and first I wasn’t happy with it when I spool it, but somehow it is awesome line for jigs and other applications.
The Absolute AAA fluoro is ultra sensitive and stiffer than than the MG. It's VARIVAS's best. Unfortunately the AAA is being discontinued; which we're all very sad to hear. The MG (Magical transluscent Green color) fluoro is more managable than than the AAA. The Dead or Alive Fluoro (clear color) is similar to the MG, except color. All 3 are designed specifically for bass fishing.
Does that shimano soare rod works well as a drop shot rod or float rod? Currently just using the eradicator for everything but as much as I love that rod, its too flimsy at times for dropshotting and the guides are too small for slip bobbering in deep water. Still haven't found a nice JDM rod without micro guides sadly. Also to me invizx is more of a crankbait line because of the extra stretch. Seaguar Abrazx is much stiffer and way beefier.
Soare XR has nice guides but the only tubular model is 7'6. If not too long, it will work great for both float and dropshot. The smaller models are no good for float or dropshot
Personally I think since you like the line so much, why not accept their sponsorship? Excellent review as well per usual. BTW have you ever tried their heavier lines like 8 to 12lb....? And sadly that site does not deliver to Canada. Could be a good thing for me though. haha
i don't know if i said sponsorship but its not really sponsorship. This is just commission on the sales that go through my link. I doubt that would be meaningful either way, so why have any obligations. I do review other lines also
no, get something clear color for trout. Absolute has a slight green tint. I catch crappie with it absolutely no problem, but if you are going to be buying a new spool, i would get something clear color. Varivas has a bunch of designated leaders but they are really expensive. I have never tried them but i'm sure they are good if u can afford them
@@ifishcatfish thanks! Just ordered 2 spools of infinity pe ×8 in 5.6lb , area super trout master limited fluorocarbon in 3lb and 2.5, and area super trout master limited shock leader vsp in 4lb. Bought 3lb in the absolute fluro ill have to try it for crappie and maybe rock bass
@@ifishcatfish I thought that was a limited time code so unfortunately I did not:/ thanks for letting me know ill definitely use it before the 12th to get a even better deal I did obviously get the 35 off but not the extra 10
i'm ashamed to say it, but I only know one knot - Uni to Uni. I tried many other knots, and i like them, but can't remember them, and on the water i only use Uni. Uni is reliable and easy, but the tag ends come out on 90 degree angle and then grab the guides. I don't recommend it
@@ifishcatfish no shame to uni to uni. I am also guilty of this but I only know blood knot and fg knot. Super thin line is hard because unless i tie knots perfectly, they break. Blood knot has the same problem where tag end sticks out 90 degrees.
It really is foolish not to take advantage of this sale and the stacking of i_fish code. It breaks down these quality products into less than the cheap commercial common stuff found. Trout fall run is coming. It’s time to stock up. Order 18242
i know! This is why when i saw the sale I spontaneously decided to do this review, just to give folks some recommendation if they want to take advantage of the sale.

Glad your weather is holding up alittle so you could get out! Some nice catches! Thanks for the head up on the deals on the line!
Great deal! Thanks for the discount code! Previously I bought them from Japan. After 45% off the price is almost the same.
Thanks for the review and the heads up about the Varivas sale 👍
Love the change of you fishing paddle-tails and under bridges now..... Medium Heavy rods soon!
medium heavy rods are coming when i start catfishing
Thanks for the information, Victor, I always appreciate your input.
i bought a vanquish 1000ssspg definitely the king of ultralight
Thanks for the heads up on the sale and coupon 😊!
And just like that my order was delivered today! I ordered Saturday.
The Absolute does well with BFS bait casters.

I really need to try some Varivas line...just wish they sold twitch master in larger spools than 100M. Have you ever tried Daiwa Kage Ultralight?
Avani Saltwater Finesse PE X8 and INFINITY PE's price is even lower than their in AMZN JP. It's a good time to have a try
just in time buddy, I will place an order in Amazon but not sure, between AAA, MG, dead or alive.
