I've been starting to use more and more fluoro myself. I find the Varivas to be the best casting out of the box, but the Seaguar R18 LTD to be the most sensitive (the Seaguar has a tautness to it that is pretty unique). I find that over time the fluoro coils start to feel a bit stiff but a spray of line conditioner will tame that. Varivas actually makes a line conditioner that seems to be decently effective; just note that if you apply too much the casting distance is slightly lower until you work off the excess in about a day or so (dragging the line through the water).
Looks like a fun day. That line does seem promising, no issues on the spool that I could see and good knot strength on old Mr. Whiskers. Glad to see you back out on the water.
Thanks....I used braid for about 18 months straight back in 2011....NanoFil. Then I did not use it again until about 2 years back. Really no reason and I will now be using the Infinity PE by Varivas and will report on it after a few uses.

Great to see you healthy and fishing again. Sounds like this line is not as stiff as other fluoro lines, is that right? How is the sensitivity and stretch? And does the spool have some kind of marker at the halfway point? Cheers.
Thanks.....this is the most limp FC line I have ever seen. Sensitivity is very good and does not appear to have excess stretch. No marker at halfway point.

I only use flurocarbon except with downrigger ultralight fishing

What about the lemon color line is that line any good it by varivas
Thanks for watching. The line is good but it is polyester and is hard to manage. But it is extremely sensitive.
