This story has always intrigued me, because the japanese were ready to fight until there were no more male japanese to fight. Horrible as it was- the war was ended by the event.

Man I love the B29 it’s such a beautiful plane. Wish I could fly on one. Flying the B29 in WarThunder is probably the closest I’ll ever get lol.

The Japanese soldiers were callous, ruthless and cruel. Thank goodness they were humbled. God only knows what we were all in for… no mercy. I’m so proud of the brave men and boys!

The bomb shown is the Nagasaki bomb. It always is shown exploding. But the Hiroshima bomb has a akward cloud formation going upward. I wonder if the wind at thst altitude made it bend awkward instead of straight up like the Nagasaki bomb. Never has it been reported.

I think they've got to show them as they were aired. Just a guess.

Isnt there a documentary where some of the pilot crew who dropped the bomb went back to meet the Japanese, only at the end were the Japanese told who the pilots actually were, very moving.

As horrible as the 2 atomic bombs were, they saved hundreds of thousands of American servicemen AND Japanese civilians IF we were forced to invade Japan. Perhaps saved a million !
