Is there a ready-made Linux image to download? I still have a T95 max with H6 SoC where I simply wrote the Armbian image to an SD card and booted directly from it. That is enormously spoiling.
Based on my experience, Armbian is the most stable linux OS for allwinner SOC, (eg. H3, H5, H6). You can try debian here: wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Allwinner. I have not tested this one yet.
@@ThinkFrugal No, the other way round. For Allwinner there are ready-made images from Balbes. Plug it in and it runs. For the S905X3 it seems to be much more complicated?
@@Hessi Not at all. It's basically the same as with any other linux image: 1) You simply burn the manjaro arm version 2) Access the sd card and use the correct u-boot 3) Call out the correct dtb file which corresponds to your device 4) Eject sd card from PC and boot it from your device.
I ended up using what you said you brick the box in another comment to backup my entire box. (The armbian multitool) it works nice and restored no issues to my other boxes.

I have an old Nexbox 7.1 Android box with S905x Amlogic CPU, but it's slow. I just wanted to know if boxes with Amlogic CPU's will run Teamviewer QS or Host. There are at least 4 known versions ng x96 air. Yung akin is the lowest version. No bluetooth at mayroon lang siyang 2.4ghz na wifi receiver. Yung mga higher versions, may bluetooth and dual band wifi.

X96 air has at least 3 known variants, yung sa akin ay yung pinakamababang viariant na 2.4ghz lang ang wifi and no bluetooth. Yung mga higher models ay may dual wifi and and bluetooth, and mas mahal ang mga yun. Try to determine first what model you have by opening your android box, may model number na nakaprint sa PCB, dun niyo malalaman anong model yung board niyo. Use that to search for a specific rom na pwede niyong maflash sa x96 air niyo to unbrick it.

@@rsdomingo What did you mean by dead? Did you mean no power? There's no light at all when you plugged in the 5v USB male to male cable? If that's the case, you won't be able to flash any rom. The USB cable must provide the power and must be able to communicate to the Android Box' RAM chip before any flashing can be done. On the other hand, a bricked device means that the unit still lights up, but due to corrupted files, it wont be able to start up. You can use the AmlogicUSB tool on bricked device since it only needs to access the RAM chip for as long as the box still receives power.

Please note na yung default firmware ng x96 air ay simple lang pero smooth. Wala din itong autmoatic firmware update, ikaw mismo maghahanap ng updated firmware and flash it sa x96 air. Ang mi-box and strong leap s1 ay may mga automatic firmware updates, kusa itong madodownload at magiinstall sa device. Sometimes maganda ito kung maganda rin ang changes, sometimes sablay ng kaunti dahil minsan nakakapagpabagal ng system yung ibang updates. My recommendation: X96 air kung mahilig kang magexperiment and explore other functions, strong leap S1/mibox s kung gusto mo ng plug and play lang na device at wala ka ng ibang iisipin.

However, kung gusto mo ng device na walang ka ng iintindihin, mas maganda ang strong leap s1 dahil sa solid nito na build and firmware. And dahil certified netflix device din siya, pwedeng gamitin ang official android tv app ng netflix sa strong leap s1.

Hello Sir MBOX is fake box, not know to me, but nicely printed stating 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage with MBOX MXQ PRO 5G 4K. BROUGHT recently with device not working/booting, with no TV display and blue LED light is ON permanently. MBOX PERMANENTLY BRICKED MAY BE WRONG FIRMWARE APPLIED AS NEVER TOOK DEVICE BACKUP, Android version 11.1 its a fake with RAM 2048MB AND INTERNAL STORAGE 4.00GB with reset option permanently disabled. PCB DETEAILS AS MXQ-RK3128, MALI-400MP PCB REVISION V1.4-20211104, Processor RK 3128 with WIFI RK915. Laptop with USB does not detect MBox using external Reset toothpick or through USB driver using RKTool /Android Tool . Need to restore Device as it is booting through external SD card, but with configuration error and unable to mount volumes. Please suggest How to make a SD card image (suggest tool and firmware image details) to restore MBOX device. I liked all your videos, but no video states how to recover the faulty device using SD card (Tcard with 8GB) to restore device. Please suggest MBOX device firmware download link with SD Card Boot options to recover the device. Thanks in advance for your good work here to support MBOX usages.
Sorry for what happened to your box. Unfortunately, I have not tested any tool yet to flash firmware via SD Card. Please try again to connect your box to another PC using a different full usb male to male cable. Rkdevtool or Rkbatchtool must detect your android box. Otherwise, there is no other way to flash rom to your device.

No bluetooth. This is the minimum of all the versions of x96 air. Yung mga higher versions have bluetooth. Nasa around 2k na yung mga yun.

I would recommend the Strong Leap S1. It's 1999 in Lazada/Shopee when on sale.

I believe X96Q boxes have allwinner processors. You can try ARMBIAN. It's a linux operating system which can be flashed to android boxes.

You can try installing a diiferent video player to your device and make that your default player when you open DSTV. Try MX Player.

@@commenterako Para sa akin ok siya, kasi at 1000php, ang dami ko ng pwedeng magawa sa device na ito. Mahilig kasi akong magflash ng mga firmwares. Please note na yung default firmware ng x96 air ay simple lang pero smooth. Wala din itong autmoatic firmware update, ikaw mismo maghahanap ng updated firmware and flash it sa x96 air. Ang mi-box and strong leap s1 ay may mga automatic firmware updates, kusa itong madodownload at magiinstall sa device. Sometimes maganda ito kung maganda rin ang changes, sometimes sablay ng kaunti dahil minsan nakakapagpabagal ng system yung ibang updates. My recommendation: X96 air kung mahilig kang magexperiment and explore other functions, strong leap S1/mibox s kung gusto mo ng plug and play lang na device at wala ka ng ibang iisipin.

So far, ok na ok ang x96 air sa akin. Mabilis and stable pa rin. I'm not sure about iwantfc, pero im sure, kayang kaya niya yang paganahin.

@@desireeaguilar2971 I would recommend po na strong leap s1 na lang po ang bilhin niyo para sa mga bagong users ng android box. Madali lang po kasi ang user interface. Ang x96 air po kasi is recommended para sa mga advanced users at mahilig magmodify ng mga android boxes nila.

About naman sa download ng app, you can get these app na wala sa playstore from apkmirror.com or apkpure. Yes bro, marami pwedeng magawa sa x96 air, tulad nung mga nabanggit ko sa video. Kung mahilig kang magbutingting ng mga devices, and kung may patience ka rin to troubleshoot issues ng x96 air, sulit ito na device. However, kung gusto mo ng device na walang ka ng iintindihin, mas maganda ang strong leap s1 dahil sa solid nito na build and firmware. And dahil certified netflix device din siya, pwedeng gamitin ang official android tv app ng netflix sa strong leap s1.

MBOX is fake box, not know to me, but nicely printed stating 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage with MBOX MXQ PRO 5G 4K.
BROUGHT recently with device not working/booting, with no TV display and blue LED light is ON permanently.
MBOX PERMANENTLY BRICKED MAY BE WRONG FIRMWARE APPLIED AS NEVER TOOK DEVICE BACKUP,
Android version 11.1 its a fake with RAM 2048MB AND INTERNAL STORAGE 4.00GB with reset option permanently disabled. PCB DETEAILS AS MXQ-RK3128, MALI-400MP PCB REVISION V1.4-20211104, Processor RK 3128 with WIFI RK915.
Laptop with USB does not detect MBox using external Reset toothpick or through USB driver using RKTool /Android Tool .
Need to restore Device as it is booting through external SD card, but with configuration error and unable to mount volumes. Please suggest How to make a SD card image (suggest tool and firmware image details) to restore MBOX device.
I liked all your videos, but no video states how to recover the faulty device using SD card (Tcard with 8GB) to restore device. Please suggest MBOX device firmware download link with SD Card Boot options to recover the device.

Sorry for what happened to your box. Unfortunately, I have not tested any tool yet to flash firmware via SD Card. Please try again to connect your box to another PC using a different full usb male to male cable. Rkdevtool or Rkbatchtool must detect your android box. Otherwise, there is no other way to flash rom to your device.
