@@viperukyt5698 I was stuck in plat for probably about 60 hours in game and I was in plat 1 for about 45 of them. I realized that I had to play a lot more freeplay and do a lot more training, and now Im champ 1 with a total of 216 hours in actual matches. I prob spent around the same if not more just in freeplay and training.

Silver is usually when you start paying attention to your car desing, then that attention starts to drop at Plat

Yup sounds about right I’m high gold / low plat and that’s a normal day except for a nutty double tap I did in low gold lll I clipped immediately and showed it to my silver / gold Friend and thought it was fake so then I showed the whole clip with the L3G3ND P4ND4 scores and then he left the call immediately lol

Btw., you totally nailed it for Bronze and silver here imo, which higher ranked players rarely do, if they try to impersonate or analyze b/s. I am not comfortable with the movement of the car sometimes, and if I have too much speed, I play worse because I miss A LOT! Good job!
ok, so I was playing 3v3s competitives right, and I’m plat 2 but I’ve actually never played 3v3 competitives so I was in a game with just bronze players lol. It was just the most hilarious thing seeing them all ball chasing and messing up... tbh I didn’t really help I just sat there laughing my ass off.

I'm plat 2, and I came up from silver 2. I am progressing through plat and hopefully get to the diamond. One thing I found that puts me at an advantage when playing is having good rotations and not focusing on fancy stuff yet. How I progressed so much was dedicating my time to practice for 35 minutes a day. 5 minutes I go into Freeplay and work on small mechanics such as dribbling and hit the ball as hard as I can to experiment which part of my car hits harder. Then for 15, I focus on defense and shadow defense and just things I can do to avoid putting myself in a bad situation, for the rest of the 15 minutes I work on my offense and land my shots accurately. I work on Aerials yes, but I don't aerial everytime I see the ball in the air. I try to focus on just hitting the ball and aiming in some way. Then last of all I go in 1's casual and I use the guy I go against as an AI bot (I know they're not) and use them to use my mechanics. The reason why I have progressed so proficiently was that I played a lot of 1's and they truly do help! You will not progress unless you grind and focus on the right mechanics for your rank. Flip resets and a plat or diamond are stupid btw lol. But for those who read it, I hope you take into consideration and focus on doing this if your dedicated to getting better like me :)

As a plat myself I agree I always go on training packs to improve my ground skill and I only go for aireals when necessary but when I play against ofther plays they keep trying to score air dribbles which fail to where it then leaves an open net for me this happens especially in plat3

For real tho as a player that can’t get out of Plat 2, I try and go to the craziest shots I make 10% of the time. And I whiff from time to time still 😂

Actually, a lot of plats just think you can be GOD HIMSELF and do epic SSL saves cuz they're carried by a smurf. I have a friend who got plat II, when i started playing (like 4~5 days playing) He just told me that playing with me was better than a lot of his teammates...
Now i'm seeing the kind of people that played on his team...
A lot of people that jus goes of that hell named plat is actually SQUADS, or people who just get 7+ victorys on the first 10 rankeds.
My mindset coming into this video was that the golds were the worst of the three bronze, silver, and gold

the funny thing is that you were talking about how plats have mechanics but are not smart. Im in plat, but im the opposite. I don't have very good mechanics, but I tend to play pretty smart and have solid game sense

Same, I mostly play with a friend that's almost gc and since everyone is way better than me I don't try any fancy moves, just powershots, passes, etc. I think I'm much more focused on defence since they're better so I think I have good rotations and positioning most of the time. And playing against them was a really good saved training tbh
U summarized platinum perfectly. I’m plat 3, and i have pretty good mechanics and stuff, I even have good positioning. The one hint that I do most is tryna do fancy stuff like air dribbles and double taps, clean aerials and stuff. I see squishy, musty, Arsenal, garretg and more, and I just wanna do what they do lmao and act like I’m the best player. I usually upend up with a bad shot and bad recovery though

Please all the players in the gold ranks 1 to 3, you have to alternate the camera of the ball I recommend it to me it works for me, also you have to practice air dribbling

Ik this sounds pretty much like I’m being aggressive because it’s my rank and probably a lot of other people would get angry because they think their rank should have less points but I think that the gold points of 28 should be lower. I think this because I have ok positioning, not awful and not good but you said a lot about positioning and rotations and that it was the highest common mistake. Another thing is that I don’t just barge into everything. Yes I do whiff often but I don’t go straight into balls after my teammate makes a mistake because I’ll know I’m not going to be able to reach there before the enemy player reaches the ball.

I’m in silver 3/gold 1, it’s pretty inconsistent imo. Sometimes there are like, freestylers flying across the map, and then there are others who seem like bronzes.

I’m genuinely annoyed. The thing is I peaked at champ 2 BEFORE free to play and now I’m stuck at D3 because of higher ranks getting bad placements, playing against ME me losing then whilst I’m IN diamond, I can’t get back out due to all the mega inflated plats as my teammates, not to mention the champ gamplay looked exactly like my D3 games.

I’m d2 div 3 rn I was peak champ 2 div 3 with only foundations and perfecting my power shot in ground and air especially with an angle in the air so practice those tight angle shots and power shots they are worth it
I reached diamond recently and only use wall shots to pass to my teammate. Or I am always on the ground and a little bit aerial shots

As a plat player I can say by far the biggest problem we have is ball-chasing. We don’t rotate for shit. We 180 on the ball and ride our tm8’s ass. I thought it was bad in gold but I swear it’s like 10 times worse in plat

I think the gold evaluation should’ve been more fair, silvers and bronze players don’t know anything about positioning either but somehow got more credit? And then there’s the issue of teammate quality, positioning is reactionary. If a teammates rotations are bad then other teammates rotations will also look bad. I remember being stuck in gold for a while because of teammate play, and I’m not saying I’m perfect. I had my share of terrible games where I got carried or was the reason for losing. But it’s hard to win a game when my teammate just sits on a corner boost waiting for it to come back while I’m centering the ball. And as you derank, teammates get worse. I can say at that time I had the skill of maybe a plat 1 or 2, through playing with friends of higher ranks that said I was better than gold. But solo queuing is difficult even when you have a solid teammate
Lower ranks are just soo damn unpredictable and fucked up to play against than higher ranks (diamond+). You have no clue what their next move is, probably they don't know aswell..

First of all, that hurt man. I’m a plat one, and I don’t think that I’m the best player out there, rather the opposite. I do decent rotating, but I’m pretty sure that I could pretty easily beat a bronze, though I’m in the “lowest” rank in rocket league

Bro, I see what's your point but have you ever thought that when people do the mistakes and go for plays they know they wont score is for practice? one thing is practicing in free play other is do the thing ingame.. Idk, that's just my opinion and that's how I improved in a lot of things =P
Im gold 3 and im so Stuck even if i have a decent kickoff, kann air dribble a bit, have decent Areals, can ground dribble and am good on defense but shadowing is the thing what i should improve

@k1ntox Read your teammates man. Sometimes when your teammates challenge being in a position where if they whiff or have a bad challenge you can recover the ball.
