I've been watching a lot of Shinedown interviews, with the majority ending up being Brent Smith interviews. I'm always amazed to hear so much uplifting and important information coming from a "rock band" and its members. These are the legends of my generation. The connection I and so many other people feel with this band ( former and current) is amazing. I feel that God sent us these guiding people to help us through our worst days. The band name itself is perfect. Shinedown as a light source or saving grace to us from above. I love the human and humble side of them. Not "Hey look at me", but "Hey let us share our story and maybe it will help you too" side of them. Also the pure connection between them and the listener is truly amazing. The caring and acknowledgement of all of us is a pure gift. I could, and already have spent days of my time listening and learning from them. Thank you Shinedown for the love and hope you bring into this imperfect world. All anyone has to do is read the comment section of any video they are involved in to see that.
Very well said .. my sentiments, exactly. I've traveled several hours, 3 times in the past year and a half, to watch these guys perform. I love 'em and can't get enough.
that is because in this day and age we are searching for a way to save our souls and in walked Shinedown at the perfect time and Ialso pray daily to the god every day he has changed alot in my life too.
We have always been his fans since day 1. We are are so glad to see Brent clean and doing awesome. God Bless him for showing others you can beat your demons.
I listen to your music every day and I’m actually moving to Knoxville Tennessee. What a coincidence you actually help me get back into recovery with some of your songs and change my life and now God’s bringing me to Knoxville Tennessee what a coincidence
There's a song called That's Her, that touches on what mental health looks like from someone's perspective watching it unfold for somebody that doesn't feel noticed or realize she is seen.
Shinedown is AMAZING !Brent YOU are an awesome human being. YOU so deserve that key. It was wonderful to see ya so emotional... MMM.:. maybe a symptom of being human. 😁 YOU are so great at making bad situations okay. Which has saved lives in our time (mine being one of them). Superb for mental health awareness. 😇 Much ❤. Thank YOU Always 🙏 Is it April yet ... needs to be so we can make it heavy and ROCK with Shinedown Nation? 🤘🏻🥳🎼🎤🎹🎸🥁🤘🏻
Love this man's voice and the band as a whole. I am so happy to say that I am going to see them again in 2023 for the 2nd time :) This is the only band that I have ever seen live more than once.
Brent Smith is a class act, and this interview highlights it. I've been a big fan of Shinedown since their early years, and the content of their music speaks volumes about who they are as a group, and as individuals .. positive messages, work ethic, recognizing their fans for their success .. and as Brent said, "being humble and grateful" .. pretty rare in the rock music world. I've traveled several hours to see them, 3 times in the past year and a half, and will go to great lengths to see them every chance I get. Such a great bunch of talent .. keep up the good work guys. Thank you, thank you!
Big fan of Brent and the band Shinedown. Brent you are a very talented singer song writer and you are such a a very humble guy. When I watched this video of you and Glen when you was talking about how you feel like music is uplifting, you are so true I have always said that music to me is very therapeutic. I also love the fact that you and the band are advocates for mental health/illness that is amazing. I definitely would love to see you guys in concert. When my husband and I heard you was coming to do a concert in Knoxville we was so excited but you had to reschedule that concert we are not originally from here but we have lived here for a while now. Keep doing the amazing work you do.
Dude these two guys are historically the biggest landmarks of my life …. Didn’t realize for years that they were so closely to Chattanooga and when he was talking about the power and movement of music “Ronnie said be a simple man Brent screamed it as loud as he can.”
Met him once, and he's just as laid back and chill as he seems in his interviews. Teased him for not having a strong Tennessee accent. You can barely hear it... Lol. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I didn't know Brent is from Knoxville! How cool! I'm not from here but have lived here for the last 10 years. But I've loved Shinedown for longer than that! Keep rockin! 🤘🏻
That's awesome to be recognized by your hometown and the efforts and everything be seen That's been worked so hard for little things like that probably mean more than any of the awards, that's feeling accomplished to be seen for what you're contributing to society and that's priceless when it comes from being selfless and genuinely care about others.
Zachary was quite young was he not? That is quite a feat to take on that responsibility at a young age. Good on Zachary. Shinedown is my favourite rock group. 🤘🏻
My brother was going through a divorce in 2007-2008. We were working together over on Emory Rd. After lunch I picked his nano and put a headphone in my ear it was their sound of madness album the song was a second chance. I thought the sound was a little dark. He had all those songs on repeat. He tried to commit suicide twice after. Finally succeeded in 2022. 15 days before his birthday.
“I’m not sure if I should say this, Fuck, I’ll say it anyway” 😂 I get a lot of flack for my believe, but I don’t care, I stand by what I say and, yes, know. There’s a super long story behind it. …Anyway, our favorite “Villian”, of course, Lucifer was known as the musician of Heaven. It was believed that without Lucifer, there would be no music in Heaven. Yet here we all are, Heaven on Earth as we are alll loving us some of the absolute best “Devil’s Music” which just keeps getting better and better as time goes on. So we all throw our horns up 🤘🏼🤘🏻🤘🏿🤘🏾🤘🤘🏽seemingly embracing our lovely, yet naughty LiL devil 😈 So yes, if it turns out to be true with the above mentioned theory, without Rock N Roll in Heaven, for me that sounds like hell. I’m sticking with Lucifer.
