Helped me through some dark times too, one of them the death of my husband. They do speak to your soul.. I had been listening to only county music for years, now Shinedown had to be one of my favorites of all time. They are very.much at the top of all music genres. Incredible!
I’ve been listening to Shinedown for 20 years. They came out of Jacksonville when I lived there. Got married and divorced there. Their music was on local radio before the rest of the world heard them. I’ve not been able to go to concerts for a long time due to anxiety. Being around crowds and I have to get to the airport early and have drinks so I can fly. Given all the people. I’ve been watching their videos for last month after A Symptom of being human hit. I really want to see them now live. I think they give me the strength to go out and see them. So I’m hoping to go see them soon.
I am more in love with this band every day I live. Brent is truly my hero. I just love listening to him and looking at him. And their honesty from all the band members - Eric has sure inspired great songs!
The Sound of Madness was the first song that i heard by this band many years ago (about 12-14). It drew my attention immediately and i then set out to listen to every song that they had recorded. They quickly became my favorite band. About 8 years ago my husband of 23 years committed suicide. Afterwards, i went through the most difficult time in my life(grief, depression and drug addiction). As i struggled to get through that time, Shinedown's music and their message gave me hope. I've now been clean and sober for 6 years and while my grief is still present, it's not crippling like it was in the beginning. I have good days and bad days but thanks to the guys message, i keep getting back up and fighting every day.
God bless you. My husband of 21 years also committed suicide. The guilt, depression, and grief were overwhelming and all-consuming but through the grace of God and support from wonderful friends I am making it through to the other side of darkness. Please stay strong and continue the fight for yourself. God bless
I am just a random person, but your story touched me deeply. I lost my first loved one to suicide when I was just 20. I’m 60, and I still question what I missed. How could I not see his pain? You could not have changed it. Find your own grace, some peace, and I hope you have far more good days than bad. And I’m sorry for your loss.
My fave band ever!!! So much talent and genuinely nice guys. They sound amazing doing these acoustic live performances. I could listen all day to them! Thanks for sharing all these incredible songs, your music has been therapeutic for me in some really bad times.
I love how Zach answers the questions for Brent and Brent answers them for Zach! I can remember seeing this band in the middle of a cow pasture in 2003, they may have been 20 or maybe 40 people there at the show, but yet Brent was singing like they were 40,000 of us! Was Such a cool show and ending up hanging out with them on the bus for an hr or so just chilling, drinking a cold one and talking about music, I've been to 17 of there shows since! Greatest band on the planet!!!
My favorite band for 20 years, you never fail a live audience, no matter the size! And why we love you @shinedown! Saw them live 10 years ago, time to catch another live in MO!! Thanks for being so awesome guys!
Brent Smith has the voice of an angel. Shinedown's music is a message of the purest of humanities heart and soul. I truly believe Shinedown is heaven sent to help the lost and forgotten
I fell in love with this band watching a video of them singing an acoustic set in someone’s living room 14 years ago. This gives me all the chills and feels….. there songs cut me so deep when they are acoustic. 😊
Brent has been blessed with such a beautiful and special gift…one of the best voices on this planet…the entire band is ridiculously talented!! See you guys 10/8/23 at The Woodlands Pavillion gonna be in the pit with my wife and daughters can’t freakin wait🤘🏻😎
I see so many rude people in this but the guys just keep going. The ones that don’t listen are the people who will never understand mental health. Shinedown your music helped save me. I’ll never get to meet you but will always love you.
I was doing security at one of their concerts, and I was able to kind of sneak into the area where their coaches were parked and where they hang out. Zack was SO humble and SO down-to-earth! When I asked for a picture with him, he put his arm around me and pulled me snuggly next to him, and said,"Let's do this chick"! I love the entire band, but Zack is such an amazing person and talented artist!
This was incredible! Thank you so much for sharing with us :) Love these two... their friendship - their love for their band mates - God Bless Eric and Brent and their willingness to share their struggles, triumphs and vulnerability with us... much LOVE
If you only knew is my favorite...so bummed they didn't play it when we saw them in Rogers😢 hopefully i get to see them again and they play it! But i did get to meet Brent before the show!
Hey guys ive got some ideas or should I say words that you might like to use in the songs you write let me know, I'll have to send them on more private chat app, let me know, i love ya guys, i dont expect any royalty's at all, id just love to help you Brent and Zach and the band writea few tunes, i do always have the words, holla... 🤘😀✌️
@@mattrepko268 I guess Kennedy is an acquired taste, certainly not mine. But all opinions are valid. If everyone liked the same shit, life would be boring.
Whatever they do is golden. Full concert acoustic rock pop or Smith & Myers. Going to see them for five time 09/06/2023 third time for Revolutions all in Ohio and I don’t live there. Twice for Attention Attention. I started listening to them in Iraq 2004. They are a big part of my PTSD treatment. I have committed suicide to many times to count. But whenever I do it Shinedown is my therapy for recovery. Strange to say I haven’t met them in person just listening to their CD’s vinyl and in concerts. But they are a huge part of my life. God Bless
Thank you to the person asking Brent about the two different shoes. The last three shows (Birmingham, Knoxville, and Huntsville) that my husband and I have gone to, we noticed it and wondered what the story was behind it. Even seeing footage from other shows and interviews, we hoped that the story was told but didn't see/hear anything. So thank you for asking Brent. 😃

Despise people who spend the entire show with their phones in front of their faces, obscuring others with their insatiable need to try and videotape freaking everything. Just put your god d phone away and enjoy the show.
@@mikevaseymusic I could tell yours was mounted, or you'd have to have some crazy strong arms. I'm just amazed at how many shows i go to where for most or all of the concert there are people with their phones out blocking the people behind them.
I disagree. The beauty of this band is there open honest personal touch. The most down to earth band. Best band ive ever seen live and had the best best time around. And this is comming from a guy that once partied all night with Limp Biscuit(true storie)
Get Up….after “failing” at my first NP job I fell down. HARD and DEEP. I worked sooooo hard to get my degree. Even had to pump breast milk during clinicals. Couldn’t get another job locally due to Monopoly pissing matches. I wanted to end my life, but I have two reasons to be strong. My kids. Get Up hugged me in the deepest, darkest moments. I TRUSTED YOU. I held on. I lived like a half dead zombie for a year, but I didn’t swallow the bottles of pills I had considered taking to avoid waking up. Now, I am doing much better. I didn’t give up on my dreams. I have a wonderful job with FULL PRACTICE AUTHORITY. I am helping heal patients’ pain. I am restoring lives with balancing hormones, making people feel 10 years younger (or more)! I am my patient one. I still have depression, some days are better than others, but overall my resilience has grown by leaps and bounds. I KEPT GETTING UP. Thank you. 🫂
A lot of bands have songs that speak to the heart. Shinedown speaks to your soul! They have helped me through some dark times in my life.
