The first time I saw this movie I was 12 and I was browsing through Netflix (this is when they introduced streaming through devices) and I just happened to stumbled upon this film. I watched it out of sheer curiosity and I just fell in love. Just the whole absurdity of the film made me enjoy it
If you watch around -7:48 you can actually see the transition between the takes and the clowns standing slightly off from where they were before and now every time you watch this movie you'll never unsee it
to hell with the haters, this was the first scary movie i watched as a child, and in my opinion it rivals steven kings it,, there wasnt enough clown in the movie it, so to me KKFOS topped it in my book, id like to see a remake
honestly isn’t a bad movie at all it’s stupidly funny yet we haven’t seen another movie like it! The ideas they incorporated into horror and clowns was brilliant! I’m really happy they got their own funko pop for nycc 2019

What doesn't this movie have. It's got just enough Royal Dano to sweeten the meat & you got John Vernon being a delicious prick playing it to the T like nobodies business. Trying to find a Blu-ray with original artwork is the bane of my existence. Everyone involved with making the movie especially the Chiodo Brothers should be proud of themselves.
One of the actors wearing klown costume is Harrod Blank. He appeared at the recent reunion in L.A. Harrod makes art cars and directed a new film called Automorphosis. There's a clip of it here on UA-cam.
I wonder what hell it must have been for the actors to see out of the masks, if they could even hardly see out of them at all; it must not have been too great to breathe out of either
Rewatched this the other night. Used to watch it all the time as a kid. Great fun old B-movie horror comedy classic! I noticed a couple of flaws about it on last viewing though. There are multiple scenes that in movie analytical terms would be dubbed entirely pointless as they are only scenes showing the clowns goofing off and killing humans. For the scenes not to be pointless to the plot, these would have to be characters introduced earlier that has some manner of story arch, and killing them off would progress the story, build or resolve conflict, or effect the main characters and their archs in some meaningful ways. There's at least three or four clown killing scenes that does neither. I guess technically you could call it filler. But it's damn good filler! A lot better than a lot of the filler you see in a lot of movies these days that bore you to tears. It's so good filler that I never noticed until just a few days ago that those scenes were actually filler and would change only the atmosphere of the whole of the movie if you cut them out. That's pretty clever, are these guys a bunch of clowns or what?! :D
are they making a second movie? are there any remakes in the process? All these movies of remakes of classics like transformers, spider-man, x-men, and even evil dead... would love to see a remake of killer klowns!
Charlotte workman I think a game would be a good idea. They could get really creative with the creatures and stuff & do all sorts of stuff you can’t do in a movie
Those clown designs are original as hell, and awesome...and I loved the picture. I wish they would make a K.K.2.
