There is so much going on musically and with the sound design. The composition and sound design mesh together in many beautiful ways. We loved this ad so much we spent time appreciating the craft in the audio post production.

I’m a motion designer. I work with a basic soundbed and then, after the animatic - the sound design is added. Then there’s a bit of to and fro on both sides until everyone’s happy. Finally fully rendered graphics. The end. I don’t know anyone who works any differently with bespoke sound.

I think it is most common to do just what said. Audio post-production usually comes in during the animatic, a great place to work out the visuals and audio matching together.
