It's rare when not only the first in a series of movies, but all of its sequels, manage to provide the same level of impact - joy, humour and sincere emotion. But Toy Story does just that! Great reaction, girls.

Love the attention to detail in this movie, the fact that Andy was worried about Woody's arm coming off was the reason why he didn't want to take him along and the airport carousel cart they used to get home, how they explained Andy getting Jessie and Bullseye made to look like presents, I liked the fact they didn't just gloss over that.
The Woody's Round-Up toy line was from the 50's (inspired by the franchise of Disney's Davy Crocket from the 50's, based on it's live action tv-series starring Fess Parker, with spoons based of the Hanna-Barbera spoons which included Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound, which director John Lasetter had as a kid, by the way) and since the series got cancelled thanks to Sputnic got launched into the orbit and the kids lost interests for western toys for space toys, the franchise never continued. Remember that Andy's mom said that Woody was an old family toy meaning that Andy got the toy handed down from either her or his dad (we never get to know what happened to Andy's dad but it's not out of the question that he passed away before the events of Toy Story 1).
Yes, and if you look carefully, we can see the writing under Woody's boots isn't the same than the one under Buzz's

"Toy Story 2" is one of the best sequels in the Toy franchise, the storytelling in the plot, character arcs along with their interactions, funny dialogue, and pacing is pure magnifciante (🔥👏). "But I don't wanna use my hands!"

I watched this in the theater in 3D together with my children. And we all ❤️ it
I love this movie, it reminds me so much of my school days! The scene when Buzz is walking through the aisle of other Lightyear toys and the music from the first film plays gently in the background I always find to be particularly poignant.
When Stinky Pete farts in the bloopers Ellie's face was like; " That feels good huh ".
By the way you should wait to the credits to end and see the Woody's Round up video it's amazing 🤠
No bullshit when that song started playing about Jessies backstory I grabbed my favourite Teddy Bear and hugged him hard and said “ Im never letting you out of my sight again”

Pixar definitely went all out on the emotional aspect of this one
I have a theory that "When She Loved Me" helped turn a lot of people into low grade hoarders because they began to anthropomorphize objects and didn't want to give them abandonment issues

Best movie in the series
And it's funny how v has the most troubled creation history, gets made for home video, gets almost deleted entirely by a storage mistake, gets saved by an employee's accidental back-up, gets greenlit for big screen and remade from the ground up.
Sweet reaction. Yeah, Toy Story 2 is the best of the series in my opinion. So creative and full of heart. The rest of the them are good as well.

Yeah. They may be inanimate objects, but they provided so much fun for us as kids! As you get older, you realize your toys are more loyal and honest than people! Which is sad.
1. So, Lia avoided much of her time wit Ellie all just to finish painting her nails. No wonder she never went to the parties Ellie, Moon Sugar, and Viki were all at.
2. I never cried at Jessie’s story, nor did I know anyone that ever did. It was recently when I actually learned that people were crying at said story. Wit that being said, that was when I knew that Ellie for sure was gonna cry at that scene but I never thought it would be cuz of Lia standing Ellie up. Plus, I thought Jessie’s story was the only scene Ellie was ever gonna cry to. Am I the only one that knew she would cry at that story though?

Love the reaction ladies! The rest of the Toy Story movies are great. Plus there's a spin-off that came after Toy Story 2, called "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command", which, unlike Lightyear, feels more like Buzz's actual space ranger adventures. Plus it opens with an introduction with the Toy Story characters about to watch it. You girls might have a blast worth to surely last for infinity and beyond!
Oh yes, one mere minor note here, if you want something that's just lighthearted for another Disney reaction, I request "The Sword in the Stone" (1963); it's one of their older films. It's far from perfect but still deserves a viewing.

I have the unpopular belief that this film was not only much better than the original Toy Story, but the best of the Toy Story films, and one of the best Pixar movies ever.

This was originally going to be a direct to video movie, and thankfully this never happened.
I heard they were deep into production before scrapping the plot and starting over with a theater release and not made by disney-toons

This movie didn’t go straight to VHS. It was original going to be straight to VHS but then they realized that it was too good to be straight to VHS so they actually did end up showing it in theaters.

I’m still gonna stick with the original Toy Story as the best one just like with most movie franchises… first movies are almost always the best movies in a franchise and the sequels are either not as good or they suck completely. I know that occasionally there is a good sequel but that’s very rare.
But I still don’t think that this franchise is one of those where the sequel is better, not saying the sequel is bad but still not as good as the first movie

Toy Story 2 is my favorite movie from the Toy Story franchise, i think that this is the best movie from the franchise, i love very much this movie, my favorite characters from the movie is the Buzz Lightyear with the New Utility Belt, and the Evil Emperor Zurg, my favorite scene from the movie is the Buzz Lightyear's Video Game scene, i love very much this scene, it's very much cool, wonderful, fantastic, emotional, and very much epic.

Yeah it’s a huge rarity that sequels are as good (or better) than their original movies. In my opinion, the only movie franchises where the sequels were just as good or better than the first movies were…
Spider-Man 2002, the sequel was just as good as the first one,
Rush Hour, the sequel was also just as good,
The Rescuers 1977, the sequel Rescuers Down Under was better,
American Tail, the sequel Fievel Goes West was better.
But 3rd movies are almost always the worst of any franchise, worse than the 2nd movies

@@aldozanoletti8166 then you must not have watched the movie… YES IT WAS DARK. You need to rewatch it. The villain of the 3rd movie which was Lotso (the pink bear) was MEAN and he treated the toys in that daycare like prisoners and “punished” them if they ran away and the scene where they were almost burned in the fire pit was pretty disturbing 😳
@@nsasupporter7557 the 3rd one has its dark moments I know and I have seen the movie many many times I've seen all 4 and own all 4 and yes Lotso is indeed the most evil and darkest villain of the entire franchise that I do agree with you the darkness of the incinerator scene for me was replaced by fear and sadness why?! Cause the toys accepted they were not gonna survive and they gave us the heartbreaking moment that they were gonna go out together i myself balled out during that scene just like in the ending when Andy says goodbye to his toys yes there are dark moments ( most of them from Lotso) but not disturbing at least for me but I will agree with you on the dark moments plus yeah how Lotso was like a ruthless crime boss that was scary the 3rd movie wasn't to innocent it exposed the harsh realities of the real world
@@aldozanoletti8166 the 4th movie was unnecessary, at least to me it was. I didn’t have anything against it but they didn’t need to make it, it was kind of pointless. The 3rd movie was a good ending to the franchise so they should’ve left it alone after that
