Awesome vid and instructional. As a tanner I have used mostly heavy logs and other difficult to move tanning beams. Will definitely be building some of these for easy transportation to workshops. Thanks a lot for sharing this!! Happy trapping and tanning. Josh
this is ingenious! I was looking at making a folding one with hinges but this is so much better! Not to mention since it is easy to make you can make several. I plan on teaching within the next year or two and this style is very easy to transport!
Also, if you screw in the PVC from the bottom, you won't risk the screw holes being a problem and you'll have the entire length to use or you can even use a shorter section.
Not a bad idea. I would wonder if the downward pressure would affect the screws if they were screwed in from the bottom. Interesting, I'll give it a try the next time I put one together.
You guys cracked me up! And I’m going to attempt your fleshing beam, I hope it works, my brother shot his first deer after 35 years, and as a gift to him, in planning on tanning the deer hide. Hopefully your beam will work for me.
Haha no, Bjorn came back as soon as I called him. No shortage of deer, elk or moose on my land but it is a transition area so they just move on through. No bear , lion, or wolf though, at least not that I have witnessed.
@@MakersMovementDIY well it was awesome, I've tanned deer hides and I've used a log as a scraping surface and it sucks so this seems like it will work well. I just wanted to keep it traditional but I screwed some hides up thanks again.
@@aarondyer1315 yea, I have screwed up a few hides myself with using a log. That's why I asked Mikhail to show me his plan, it was so simple that we decided to do the video. Cant wait for hunting season so I can really put it through the paces.
Hahahah, yea when Mikhail and I get together all seriousness is out the window. We spent over three weeks together this summer hitting the gatherings and getting some personal dirt time. The jackassness never let up for a minute.
How did you know where to cut it to make sure it stayed in the center of your belly? Cut it to your height? It was a good video but someone that needs detailed details is me. From all other videos I've seen, this is by far the best one
I think so, the height can be adjusted a little by how far the beam goes into the stand. Just play with the placement of the pvc on the main beam before you screw it down.

Yea , I'm not sure there is an easier version out there anywhere.

I hope it serves you well man. Let me know how it goes.
You guys are hilarious! Thanks for sharing this with us
I like it. Everyone else seems to over complicate it

Thanks for the vid. Very informative.
My pleasure, thanks for watching
That's brilliant. Thank you for showing how to make this. Liked the drone work and the humor. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you for watching
Nice! Thanks for the info. Looking to get into coyote calling. This will work for me.
This is the best stuff ever 😆 🤣 😂

Congrats to him and good luck with the project. It is easily the best one that I have ever used.
@@MakersMovementDIY I built it and it worked great and was very cheap and easy! So easy, this pollock was able to get it done. Thanks for the build.
@@mskiUSMC super awesome man. Thanks for letting us know that.
Hahaha awesome job guys
Did Bjorn catch his deer? You land is full of every resource imaginable and Mikhail's form is flawless. 😆

Thank you.
You guys are hilarious, but really thanks for this.

Did you happen to specify the angle you used?
10 degrees is what he said, just found it.
I actually laughed out loud at the beginning of this video. "I used a rock, oh, so you did it the traditional way."
Hahahah, yea when Mikhail and I get together all seriousness is out the window. We spent over three weeks together this summer hitting the gatherings and getting some personal dirt time. The jackassness never let up for a minute.
Do you have an exact length and angle for the PVC?

I just got lucky. But there is an area not an exact spot on the belly so its not that hard.
@@MakersMovementDIY where did you get that hat? Lol seriously though where? Looks like a Boonie cap
I'll take two.
Thanks for the video. Question. I'm 6'2. Will the legs be tall enough at 30" for me? Thanks.

@@MakersMovementDIY ok. Thanks. Great video!
How long was the pvc piece? Great vid!
long enough that my ski's don't hit the sled when I move. I think mine are about 5 feet. But yours may be different.
My dog started howling after they made that weird noise at 4:10
Does 4 inch work with raccoon
Easily.
Mikai. Aren’t you a member of the hoodlum family community
Yes I am.
@@MakersMovementDIY thought so. Also was thinking that was Norseman. Cept he needed a haircut lol
@@bladetxglw hahaha, correct again.
I thought i could learn something but had a hard time sifting through the BS.
Guess I owe you your money back. 💰
