Very cool that you got to see the Authentic Pro, Brodie. A testament to your hard work, no doubt. This is the jersey that is supposed to look good though, and the fact that it does is encouraging. However, I am disappointed they didn't show the Breakaways or the Premium. Very interested in seeing those, as those are likely going to make up the bulk of what fans ultimately purchase.
I'm glad MiC's will finally be available to purchase again but, I have to say... I'm going to miss the dimples. They were unique and gave the jerseys an interesting texture.
First time the on-ice jersey has been available to fans in 10 years. CCM made the on-ice jerseys readily available to the public. If I’m going to spend $200+ on a jersey then I want it to be what players wear. Glad they’re getting back to this as fans DO want to spend the money for on-ice jerseys players wear because there’s a huge demand for it.
Removing the dimples on the shoulder area does make this look slightly lower quality and less premium. I'm not sure why they did away with them if they had a way to keep them other than just needing to save costs. I'm definitely excited to see how these will hold up, and I am thankful that Fanatics is at least trying to get ahead of the bad press.
The CCM sweaters through to the Reeboks had reinforced shoulders and elbows. The CCM Centre Ice sweaters, especially in the Ultrafil fabric are still the best.

I have 2 Fanatics jerseys, and have played in them. I think they would count as “Breakaway” under this nomenclature. No complaints for the price point-they’re roomy, the graphics look good even though they’re printed not color-stitched, and I like the flexibility of the patches.
Which is exactly what they were going for. The average fan won’t care, those of us who’ve been at this game from the days of CCM and Koho wont stand for that. Which means at $400+ for the Authentic Pro, most collectors have seen the end.
I appreciate this video. This answers a lot of questions that I had regarding Fanatics taking over NHL jerseys and I am glad that they are looking at what MLB and Nike didn’t do with introducing new jerseys for players and taking the steps to work with players and really not change anything.
Anyone that's owned a Made in Canada (MiC) jersey knows that once you get one, you'll never buy another model. I'm glad they didn't change up too much. I'll personally miss the dimples but understand not carrying that on.
Great review and kudos to for being the first that I’ve seen reviewing these! I sure hope Fanatics learned from the MLB debacle and won’t make the same mistakes. Keep in mind however, as they’re made from the same factory, they’re using the same Adidas template (minus the dimples). Give Fanatics some time to bring their own template (and therefore changes) to the jerseys. That’s when the retail customer will get screwed.
I mean they're literally Adidas jerseys without the dimples. Can't get it wrong on the first try if you don't make your own in the first place. Edit: Also, they're hat "designs" suck. And they've already started to ruin Mitchell & Ness's reputation. Fanatics _will_ find a way to mess these jerseys up
As someone who wears jerseys as a fashion statement, the Fanatics Breakaway jerseys are perfect for me. They're more comfortable and fit better compared to the Adidas ones. The Adidas ones are too long and the fight strap really bothers me.
Thank you for your fantastic videos. They should have kept the shoulder dimples , right? To me, Fantatics- quality products are, at best, equivalent to Kirkland brand. The logo alone makes it sub-premium. I don't know, well see. Sorry Kirkland.
losing the shoulder dimples is a terrible choice, it gave the jersey so much more character and added depth to an otherwise blank area, not a fan and probably won’t buy one unless that changes
This is actually very promising. I enjoy their Breakaway for the comfort level, but it's nice to see my expectations should not be diminished for some new jerseys I have my eye on for next season (Panthers, Bolts 3rd, etc.). I am curious if they will make the white road jerseys more available than Adidas did the past few seasons. Sometimes the clean white look is the way to go.
I have an autographed wings jersey signed by many players over the years (made in Canada CCM jersey) I can't wear, so just bought a home and away blank adidas versions because I was worried everything would be heat applied vinyl bs. Getting them customized later, but biggest thing was to find them while still available. Looks like my fears were slightly overblown
Ngl but having fanatics be the main sports brand for the NHL just cheapens the product imo considering how cheap their stuff tends to be. Plus I hate monopolies so much
This guy has an skill....of talking for 20 minutes of something that takes 2 minutes at most. In some aspects UA-cam monetization has been bad in this regard.
This is still a wait and see situation, but this video has given some reasons to be optimistic The quality control of Fanatics is notoriously terrible, and that reputation is gonna stick until they can prove otherwise
So they basically hand picked and brought the best of the best of their jerseys to show it off to you. I’ll wait until videos on the jerseys bought retail get reviewed
We will see how much of the on ice and authentic they will keep in stock. They barely had sharks jerseys on fanatics that wasn’t fanatics branded. The adidas authentics with player names were more expensive than other teams for some reason and they never had any new players. I’d like to be the first one in Sacramento get the celebrini jersey lol. They better have them in stock instead of blanks to make you pay more for customization.
Obviously there's a CYA element to the statements coming out of Fanatics at this release. But I also appreciate the subtle nature of throwing Nike and MLB under the bus in their messaging too.
I remember when the mlb jerseys came out. Hated it what Fanatics had done. But these hockey jerseys only one thing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 they learnt a lesson from mlb for nhl and I love it.
So as a collector VERY ,HAPPY to hear that finally can get a jersey MADE IN CANADA and NOT INDONESIA, or am I getting a " KNOCKOFF" and not buying what the Players are wearing. Please calrify. By the way AWSOME info. Thanks
only the on ice jerseys will keep the old manufacturing factory. The consumer level ones will be manufactured by Fanatics so unless you buy the highest price one there may be more noticeable drop in quality. We'll have to wait to see those up close
One request: give us retros! I want them to make authentic jerseys of former teams (nordiques, whalers thrashers, barons, coyotes, and maybe former hockey teams before the original 6 that existed like the vancouver millionares and seattle metropolitans (who won the stanley cup in the nhl before the kraken existed decades ago) in a modern take) or the og ottowa senators jersey in a modern take with the “O” logo. Just give us retros or reverse retros again! So many chances fanatics can use to win fans over if they listen to their consumers.
Will Fanatics be making a new black jersey? The only problem I have with the design, is the shark fin on the left shoulder is going away from the Ford position. Both fans should be going forward, like an American flag, where the stars and stripes are always going forward. Other than that they're nice Jerseys. I haven't bought a new jersey since 1991.

extra elbow pad space! i'm happy
I will wait and see the quality. As a huge MLB fan, the baseball jerseys were straight garbage. Never trust these companies and what they tell you.
The new Kings jersey was revealed. So far, I’m very pleased.
Brody, just jumped headfirst into the Fanatics marketing department.
losing the shoulder dimples is a terrible choice, it gave the jersey so much more character and added depth to an otherwise blank area, not a fan and probably won’t buy one unless that changes
Fanatics didn’t have a choice. Adidas owns the trademark for that design, so Fanatics couldn’t have them on the jersey even if they wanted to.
What are the shoulder dimples?
One thing I would like to see if they make any changes in the future, it would be to return to true tie-down necklines...
Good summary Brodie. Well done w the production value.
Adidas did offer practice jerseys
Plus I hate monopolies so much
BUT How must is the on ice jersey going to coast and the premium one too. I hear the on ice is going to be over 400.00 dollars
Appreciate the update Brodie. Thanks for keeping us in the loop!
Whew! San Mateo's own Fanatics appear to have got it right. So glad and relieved.
Awesome video, @BrodieBrazil! Thank you for the informative details on the differences between the Adidas and Fanatics jerseys.
Really relieved and happy that Fanatics/NHL got this right…was concerned after the MLB debacle
Don't count your chickens yet. They could still be complete shit like all their other stuff.
financial comment : how is a jersey company going to make more money for them and the NHL if they don’t change the jerseys ????
This guy has an skill....of talking for 20 minutes of something that takes 2 minutes at most. In some aspects UA-cam monetization has been bad in this regard.
Thanks. I would like to get the new Kings jersey but I saw where the price, before tax, is $425….so I’ll have to think about it.
And here I am still buying CCM and Koho jerseys because they're so simple basic and clean.
Good video. Imma gonna sub to this Brodie guy. Does he cover hockey alot?
Only for the last 15 years 🤣🤣
Hey, as long as we can’t see John Tavares’s jock strap during the game then Fanatics did their job
This is still a wait and see situation, but this video has given some reasons to be optimistic
The quality control of Fanatics is notoriously terrible, and that reputation is gonna stick until they can prove otherwise
Wouldn’t call fanatic’s affordable but besides that good video
Reebok did have retail authentics before though, i think?
And select practice jerseys were being sold by teams in their individual team stores
Retail authentics were still lower quality than the actual on ice jerseys
Man authentic pro. I'm excited to get one of those
So they basically hand picked and brought the best of the best of their jerseys to show it off to you. I’ll wait until videos on the jerseys bought retail get reviewed
Im guessing the fit size will be the same too. which is good.
I'm thrilled 🤗 to see The Jerseys after I buy them
We will see how much of the on ice and authentic they will keep in stock.
Wonder why the NHL doesn't go back to CCM, or KOHO?
Koho doesn't exist anymore for one.
Obviously there's a CYA element to the statements coming out of Fanatics at this release. But I also appreciate the subtle nature of throwing Nike and MLB under the bus in their messaging too.
I'm glad I got game & practice jerseys by CCM don't think any other MFG came close to CCM.
I remember when the mlb jerseys came out. Hated it what Fanatics had done. But these hockey jerseys only one thing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 they learnt a lesson from mlb for nhl and I love it.
That was all on Nike. I'm not a fan of fanatics but Nike is responsible for the MLB
Thanks for this important information!
Bad news! fanatics label is like shopping at the dollar store.hard pass
Thanks Brodie for the great information !
Cheers !!
🏆🏒😎👍🌴☀️
I mean if SP Apparel were to lose the NHL contract it'd be a cataclysmic event for St Hyacinthe
Great video. Were you allowed to try it on? Wondering how it feels
I love that Sharks home Jersey, gotta get me a Devin Cooley ASAP.
Top notch Mr Brazil as always ✔️
Will Fanatics be making a new black jersey?
The only problem I have with the design, is the shark fin on the left shoulder is going away from the Ford position. Both fans should be going forward, like an American flag, where the stars and stripes are always going forward. Other than that they're nice Jerseys. I haven't bought a new jersey since 1991.
Hope my Seattle Kraken made it right this year
I hope the Premium version doesn't have a tie down strap like the Adidas Authentics did
No dimples sucks
They tend to use a smaller font for the nameplate on their breakaway jerseys, and it often looks ridiculous.
Keep that same energy during the season.
I'm just happy that we can buy MIC on ice jerseys and not some bogus jersey they call "authentic".
Breakaways are absolutely horrendous. That won’t change.
Regarding the authentic jerseys, are the logos stitched on or heat pressed on?
The mlb jersey ever get fixed?
i love brodie brazil and i think brodie brazil loves me
500 jersey 3 tiers of jerseys made in Canada
this made me feel at ease, i love adidas but i’ll give them a chance.
