When exactly do you use aider and when cline? As you can use both with the same model i would love to see a comparison between cline and aider where which one is better than the other.
great video, I'm a bit confused about using aider vs using cline, like when would you use one over the other ? is it that cline is best for complex tasks while aider is more suited for easier things like refactoring ? I would watch a full video on that xD
7:25 - On macOS we have more options beyond “nano” and “joe” and “vim.” We can also use “subl -w” or “zed -w” (for example) when certain text editors are installed. The “-w” flag tells them to block until the file is closed. No doubt similar options are available on Windows.
i really like aider due to its git revision history and how it handles very specific targeted commits , however i wish they would just make a webui or integrate into vscode like windsurf or copilot , as the cli is clunky to interact with , the editor is a step in right direction for large rich prompts .
Interesting..I'm building a similar app like this "Aider" also in Python as a chat CLI. I might aswell just stop building and switch to Aider, seems very promising, nice video!
Really informative videos. I'm a newbie when it comes to AI coding and coding in general. All these videos have lots of great information but im not sure where to start. I'd like to make a semi-complex android mobile app, where AI creates the files, codes, bug fixes and does the most possible for me. Could you make an updated beginner friendly video on what to use and how to install and configure everything. That'd be soo helpful!!
Web development IDEs that convert text to code? Check ☑ Now, let's take it a step further-create a fully deployable system that simplifies Git integration, hosting, and cloud data management. It should provide a shareable URL and, of course, be responsive for both iOS and Android. XD
It amazes me how you can always be on the edge on this kind of topic, I think you too are an AI ;)
Wow, Aider is almost usable🎉 🎉

Yep, need to get this added to the Aider docs. Pretty sure the VSCode example would have worked as well with the --wait flag added.

Use Gemini Flash, it's the unsung hero when it comes to the best coder
Cascade in windsurf is super good, needs to be talked about more. It is free now
No, it's not free. There is a FREE TIER. And a plan at 10$, which is good.
@fredkzk I haven't paid for it, i assumed that it is free for now, coz they haven't figured out the pricing.
