Huuuge congratulations! I've been using the 3.0 BETA for months now, it's such a huge improvement to 2.0. You and the community can be really proud of what was created in the end :)
amazing guys, finally no more breaking changes to deal with haha. It would be awesome if you could add more content to the docs and guides and examples. Also wish to see more video content too. Some interesting guides would be about lexical and how to modify payload UI
In most other tech stack youtube comment sections--I see a lot of hate, but Payload, nothing but love! Amazing community! Congrats on the 3.0 launch. :) More power to you guys!
This is the best open source project I have ever come across. Period! I can’t emphasise enough how grateful I am that you have put so much work and love into this!
Thank you to the community for this. I recall this was supposed to comeout best by mid september. However, looking at all these changes I can see how much effort was put into this. Can't wait to update my project to 3.0
So excited that 3.0 is live now! I have been utilizing the beta for ~3 months now, and love it. I appreciate the time and work you have put into a dev focused CMS. Great job to the team!
Congratulations on your release, lots of cool stuff 🎉Our company is using Payload 3 to build our CMS. Thank you for making this video I find it really helpful to get an overview of the new features and improvements, would really like to have more of these videos, feature deep dive etc. Again, really cool stuff
I've worked with many Headless CMS in the past, and Payload has always been one of my favorites, but now it's absolutely insane what you guys managed to achieve. Kudos to the whole team!
Tracking this release from the side for the last couple of months, and it's just amazing how much you've been able to deliver depsite the ever growing scope. Amazing work and looking forward to using it.
Really awesome stuff. It is crazy how these guys are so nimble is such a small team! I will get my hands dirty ASAP and create some videos about my experience!
This year was the year that the company would go into starting its own CMS, because the vendor lock-in/trial/subscriptions is something we really did not wanted to go into and then this video popped up, and I just discovered Payload and what it is about, this is amazing!!!! Your hard work is being noticed, and I feel it in your voice, thank you and the team for this!
Now I'm super hyped two build my mega projects and bring my potential competitors down to knees Thanks to the awesome, super creative and productive team of PayloadCMS this is all possible
This is such a great release. I think what I love the most with Payload is the simple, no-bs admin interface and the code-based config (and many more things). However, I can't help but wonder how the company will be able to get any money from the project in the long run if it's all free and open-source.
hell yeah, payload is fitting pretty well for what I wanted on a cms, and decided to use it for my site even during the beta, now to move it to actual payload 3, which will be very worth it. btw would be cool you also having some tutorials/showcases of using payload with other frontends (astro, nuxt, sveltekit, etc), as I actually use paylaod with an astro frontend (plus using fastify as a 'glue' to let both use the same url) in a monorepo and it does work well, but did have to do quite a bit of trial and error to get to that solution
It's very high on our list to get some examples out on using Payload in other frameworks. I've already used it in solidjs and it was a fantastic developer experience
Amazing!! As a SvelteKit user : Is there a tutorial planned how to integrate Payload with SvelteKit, serverside authentication / payload serverside requests and so on?
When creating the InlineBlocks is it possible to fetch data from external sources to lets say fill in some product names etc? Making it possible to create rich dynamic content pages based on a select product
So I am using PayloadCMS V2 for a project in production, I am having regular data loss and especially Media loss from specific types. I have no idea what is causing it, could it be the point at 17:15? And nothing will fix it unless I migrate to V3?
I want to build an e-commerce website but as your e-commerce template is still missing in v3 should I go for sanity ?? as building an e-commerce template that you have made in v2 by myself will be a difficult work for me or can you please tell me that when will the e-commerce template be ready for v3 so that I can see if I can wait that much or not. Thank you
The question is... would it work with astro + cloudflare workers? No need for vercel's proprietary image processing. deploy payload 3.0 on cloudflare workers as a cms to store and manage data l and use astro coudflare pages as frontend with all inage processing. I would like to avoid vercel
Amazing, does it mean I can fully install it on Cloudflare now? or does it require more setup on my end? Thinking I can use Cloudflare to host it nextjs, then use hyperdrive to create connection to a postgres db somewhere... Or better, maybe it can use the new sqlite in cloudflare? any idea guys?
amazing guys, I have a question, I come from the world of WordPress and normally work with a plugin called Gravity Form and ACF Pro (Repetear, Flexible content, Relationship), which offers many possibilities when building forms and custom fields, someone knows what would be the most appropriate way to work these two areas using Payload, I will begin to study it, at some point I would like to switch to a new technology for everything related to CMS, greetings from Colombia. Thanks
Absolutely-Payload handles bidirectional relationships out of the box, and also has a free form plugin. Should help get you to where you need to be to replace how you use Wordpress.
Hi there! could somebody be so kind to sum up why we would use Payload for our SaaS projects ? We mainly code in Python and are looking to complement this with a modern front-end .
Congratulations, thank you for your team's hard work, playload cms is soo good except the performance on Vercel! If I deploy the payload cms on Vercel, the admin parts is super slow, sometime I event need to wait 2 to 3 seconds. But if I deploy it on my own server, it behaves normal. I am sure that this problem caused by serverless function, because the payload cms admin uses dynamic route to generate the page, but somehow the Vercel didn't cache it. Is there any plan to solve it in the future?
Now we need more videos on how to build websites with Payload and Nextjs why not a 3 to 4 hours of one huge crash course :) thanksssss
Coming soon ....
@@payloadcms Can I Co-operate to do that? I'm really into
Also, can we please get a video on how to deploy everything (database, images, etc.) without falling into a pay-as-you-go plan?
@@payloadcms ❤
Killing it! Congratulations!
Make a video on it!
@@evangelinemmayie6116 i support this
Thanks Adrian!
This is the GTA VI of the CMSs. Great work!

We love to hear it.
can we get a production ready project tutorial in payload 3.0
☝

We'll have one soon. In the meantime, bytegrad has one: ua-cam.com/video/0Pz9g654OIc/v-deo.html
88 to 27 dependencies is crazy! Good job and congratulations! Can’t wait to try it tonight!

I have never been this excited for a stable release of a software. This is amazing. I'm definitely going to use payload to build some cool things.
This is the most dope project I have ever seen. Will be using it for my next client project who wants to migrate from WordPress
Huge heartfelt congratulations. We've been using Payload in production for a while now and our clients love it. It's a great developer experience too.
Thank you to the community for this. I recall this was supposed to comeout best by mid september. However, looking at all these changes I can see how much effort was put into this. Can't wait to update my project to 3.0

Some of the largest companies in the world are already taking advantage of Payload's enterprise services. :) We're here to stay.
@payloadcms glad to hear it!

This looks great been meaning to redo my web portfolio and merge my blog into one project, This may be a good opportunity to do so. Thank you guys
Congrats guys 🙌
Developed a project since beta v1, all the way to beta v135. The journey was awesome, congrats!
Thanks for putting it through the ringer!

Yes, we have a lot more content coming. In the meantime, ask away in our Discord!
Also Nuxt/Nitro?
This is amazing!! Cheers 🍻
Is the job queue similar to directus flows? Can i use web hooks to trigger db inserts and things like that?

🥳Great news. Been using the beta for a while now.
Would love some docs on testing.
Can i set a predefined filter for the admin panel table list view ? Is it available for this 3.0 version or i need to use Custom Component for this ?
The question is... would it work with astro + cloudflare workers?

@@payloadcms Thanks
I'm still kind of new to fullstack stuff, but have some experience. Is this basically a replacement for BAAS like Firebase and Appwrite? If so, I'm in
Exactly. We have CMS in our name but we are more like a full backend framework with an admin panel as well 👍
IM EXCITEDDD!!!!!
🎉❤ thank you
Hell yeah!

We have a few PRs that should massively improve performance on Vercel actually. Big focus of ours to get Vercel working as well as we can!
How is it with React 19? I gave up with Next 15 because the libraries I use don't support React 19.
This is just a beginning 🎉
This is EPIC.
Let's goooooooo!
What's the use cases of Payload ?
