The Tomorrow's Shore EP was recorded with Erol Alkan, the legendary DJ, producer and remixer who produced the band's latest album, Weather Diaries.

" “Catch You Dreaming” is written from the perspective of being one of the last two people alive, watching as the Universe is ending. The protagonist looks back over the time when humanity existed, realising that we as humans brought about our own inevitable demise. Then the couple look back over their own lives of shared memories and as they are sharing this moment, everything vaporises. It’s a love song about fate, nostalgia, and having no regrets.
" The song itself was intended to be a part of “Weather Diaries”, and recording started during the sessions in Autumn 2016. But we never managed to record a definitive version at the time and decided to come back to it later as part of a follow up EP, which is now finished, and titled “Tomorrow’s Shore”. The EP was made with an identical process to “Weather Diaries” and we see it as very much tied to the album. "

Everybody I know that listens to shoegaze says that Rides earlier albums and ep's say that Ride is a essential for those new to the genre
Ive been influenced by them since i was a teenager. I was totally obsessed with their music. loved their harmonies.

When I first listened to this song - 2 years ago, Driving around on a cool evening with the windows down, the air balmy after a hot, humid day. Even rushing past me faster than I could run, everything is still so calm. We can never find these quiet moments unless we look for them.
I like it sped up to 1.25x
Saw them play this live in Oxford in May - initially thought it wasn't working live - after another couple of minutes, I didn't want it to end. Sign of a great band - come back after 20+ years, evolve, and bless us all with something as different and gorgeous as this.
Progression. Great artists don't stick to a sound forever they keep on going, I am in love with this new song.

Great song , my favourite song by ride , so happy was introduced to this amazing music first time been able to listen to it in months cause reminds me of an ex who got me into ride but thankful she got me into them .

It's funny how I love Ride so much, yet they haven't made decent music since 1992. This is subpar, as was that album last year. Time to retire lads.

I want more of this from Ride. If they can blend this kind of song with more of their going blank again stuff it'd be a great thing to hear.

Band owes you fucking nothing mate, and they can't make Nowhere or Going Blank 2, because that wouldn't work. When an idea is cashed, it's spent. You can't make a song like Leave Them All Behind and then not just tread all over it trying to sound like it, you fucking idiot. You just end up with a watered down "rehash" you would complain about anyway. You literally have to leave it all behind and move on. Which is what they're doing.
And hey, guess what! That old album is still there! It didn't fucking go anywhere. If you like it, go listen to it mate. I for one really fucking love the sound of Andy and Mark harmonizing vocals, so it doesn't matter what the fuck genre they do as long as they sing nicely together. This song is great, not meant to take you on a fucking journey through the valley of feels r be some king hit song. They put it out as cool little track for free to listen to here on youtube. It's just a song. A chilled out one. With keyboards. Don't be scared of them.
