Hey Avinash, the minister speaking about relaxing the rules on domicile certificate, allowing people who already have a house in Navi Mumbai, these are all diversionary tactics to divert the focus from the important topic “unaffordable prices” and no doubt they are expert on that. I think it’s unrealistic to expect the real state market will crash because of cidco, after all, cidco outsourced the marketing work to sell these 67000 affordable houses to a private marketing agency at 700 crore rupees (which some news agencies have reported that itself is a scam because they have never outsourced in the past). And I feel like cidco and private builders are hand in glove in determining these prices. Gone are those days when Cidco worked for common masses and not private agencies. But that’s not the problem with Cidco. These are all behavioural traits coming right from the top leadership. Can’t complain much just hope for the best. Cheers!!
I agree Mahesh what you said makes absolute sense. We as a society are intellectually bankrupt. We are unable to distance ourselves from things that have no correlation to our well-being. A lot of people complain that I make videos in Hindi and not in Marathi, little that they realised that the government had other plans.

I generally don't recommend apartments for investments. But Panvel as a market has grown by 50% in the last 5 years so if you are opting for loan at 9% then technically you are making about 1 to 2% in price appreciation and 3 percent on rent which is about 5% in total. Obviously you will get tax benefit hence for investment I always suggest equity MF. If you are buying for self use or considering in future Kharghar corporate park will develop then it makes sense.

@@amol526 There are 2 seperate things. If you are assigned parking then it's your and it's easy to sell a home if it has parking. What you are talking about is parking ownership. In both cases you would be able to sell your home conveniently or rent it as well.
How is it affordable People with that kind of money to spare have cars they they dont need railway staions or bus depo near by!!! Else government could have built in some affordable rates!!!! You will build on premium places charge premium rates and then tag affordable😢
In my opinion it should be mandatory but the process of obtaining domicile should be simple. Like 10th 12th Graduation mark sheet. Salary slips, ration card and passport etc should be accepted for domicile evidence
@WandererPatil Agreed. I have only one question as a Maharashtrian Can I apply for Mass housing scheme in the state of Gujrat, Karnataka or Kerla? The answer is absolutely "No" because I don't have a domicile of that state. This is the only reason why prices of flats in Mumbai are increasing day by day.
