that's what I love Alex...he just gets it.
BE CAREFUL, ALEX WILL POISON YOU & RUIN YOUR INTEREST OF THE PHILIPPINES!!! HE HAS OTHER CHANNELS THAT ARE VERY CRITICAL OF THE COUNTRY. HE IS REALLY MORE INTO THAILAND THAN THE PHILIPPINES, WHICH MAYBE OKAY BUT HIS CRISTICISM ARE OVERBOARD MANY TIMES.
Pleasure meeting you buddy! You put a lot of work in this video. Way to go 💪🇵🇭
Assalamualaikum ! Have you been to Mindanao?
Rule: as long as you are a guest you will be treated special as much as possible, wether your a local or a foreigner
He is good, intellectually answering Jared questions!👍👍🇵🇭🇧🇭
Jared, AJ Here ✋ the One that Approach you in DIVISORIA,😅
wow. Jared went shopping there? 😊😊😊
Even R’Bonney, the Filipina-American Miss USA from Texas and became Miss Universe, she went to DIVISORIA just recently when she was there in Manila and she played the game Peraphy in EAT Bulaga. 😂
It's great to hear that Pinoys are just really friendly and welcoming in general...not just because someone is white or tall.
Yes Filipinos are family oriented.
Wow. This was a very nice interview. I found myself nodding to a lot of what Alex had to say. I can attest to his being well immersed in the Philippine culture. Plus, his answers to your questions showed he is intelligent. Applause to you both.
Wow happy to hear from foreigners that they love going back to the Philippines.
Philippine Cultures is when a family member or relative coming from very far and visit your homes they will prepare the best for you like beds, pillows, blankets that even within the households cannot use it ordinarily. The foods that they are going to serve is their very best menu.
Love you both. Stay safe always.
Ang galing ng guest mo Jared, pls collab with Becoming Filipino Kulas, hes in Cateel Davao. Thanks Jared
This was interesting. So used to Alex interviewing so many people. It's nice to see it switched up. Jared hope you're enjoying the Philippines. Get out of the city and into the province. 😀
Yes. Well said , Thank you for sharing your video, watching from Toronto 🇵🇭🇨🇦🤙♥️☮️
Ang pogi ni kuya Jared. Welcome to the Philippines. Have fun and stay safe!

Salamat G. Jared sa nakakaaliw na video.
Mapagpalang araw sa iyo. 🙏🇵🇭💓
great video!
I am originally from CEBU and permanently live in the 🇺🇸!
I just subscribed your channel as a way of appreciating you for lifting up Filipino culture. You make me so proud eventhough I am based here in the US🇺🇲
9:00 Kinda, but not really. Filipinos are still very hospitable amongst ourselves. We may be more discriminating in a way coz we know people. Just recently, my brother and I met a couple in a bar, and next thing we knew, we were at their house. Then we were at the guy's birthday weeks after. They were just regular people like us, working class. In any neighborhood, people would invite anyone and everyone to have a meal or drinks. You know, this is way so common for everyone that most often than not, we take it for granted. "The next door neighbor, he just right there, we don't have to indulge with him now, maybe next time." Things like that. But even then, we'd still get a share of pancit from our neighbors whenever there's an occasion. Yeah, it doesn't 'happen' a lot, but sometimes it's more of, we got too used to it that we react differently towards it, and we expect others that they'd act differently as well. But the hospitality is there, it's never gone. Especially when you visit another region, we still all get that.
Hello, Sisig is new dish only created in 1970's our old food are variant of Spanish/ Mexican and Chinese but Balut, Kakanin(sticky rice), Ube(purple yam), Pinakbet (stir fry vegetable) are original to Philippines food. Welcome to the Philippines. Salamat
Very wrong. Sisig was a food that can be traced back to our pre colonial times. The first documented record of the word Sisig was in 1732. So yeah, you are wrong for saying Sisig was only created in the 70s.
Excellent interview.
on point and honest answer.
Outstanding interview brah
Great interview!
Make a video interview with "Charles and Alyssa forever". They are not Filipinos but they are so much into Filipino culture and they have been here in the Philippines. Love to see you chat with them.
Yes, there are lots of sisig versions now, not only face, ears of pig.. there’s pork, tofu, Bangus (fish). Those are yummy 😋
Very interesting interview
9:12 actually it's all about treating guests. Best example in the house, Filipino will treat Filipino guests more favorable than their Filipino home buddies. It's basically hospitality.
Where are your manila vlogs? Can't wait. We saw you in Ryan's vlog and with the filipino in San Agustin church.
the answer to, filipinos treating foreigners better than fellow filipino, both yes and no, maybe more on, not really. it's like being nicer to friends or acquaintances than your own brother or sister. but you and your brother can tell if anyone of you is not fond of someone else's opinion, subtle eye twitch, and you know exactly what would make your brother's day but you're not polite and smiley to your brother. same thing with fellow filipinos. there's alot of nuances and variations and case to case basis. let's just say filipinos wanted to make friends, welcoming. i mean i won't be excited to show my fellow manilenyo intramuros my fellow manilenyo might think i'm insulting him but i'd be proudful and absolutely ecstatic to show a foreign friend around and make em eat street food or the best mami/ramen in intramuros it doesn't mean i treat my new foreigner friend better than my fellow filipino i may do favors for a fellow filipino that i'd be feeling awkward to do for my foreign friend. here's something you'll notice more and more, filipinos to their friends walk in the streets with arms over the shoulder of a friend even with girls they do the same. you'll never see that in any other culture.

Hello jared...Mabuhay..🇵🇭
How about meeting with becoming a Filipino blogger who is also from Canada. He is now a Filipino citizen approved by the senate of the phils
You familiar with the movie Hostel? I think alot of expats especially men thought like that. It’s like a go-to place when you’re looking for that “thing” ya know. ☹️
Good morning Jared🌄
Try to visit iloilo
You two made great contributions to Philippines! You guys practically helping and promoting Philippine's tourism which the country didnt even realized it. You should be receiving awards. Oh! Im sure you'll be noticed i hope soon. Thats true that they treat foreigners with especial care more than their own people. Its in their genes being hospitable people. Like for example if they receive gift or something its not OK not to say thank you to other people. If they forgot to acknowledge from their relatives its forgivable. So, the culture goes how they treat foreighners. I think Filipinos are the most kind and hospitable people.
Im from Toronto..its sh*t here right now. Lots of people leaving Canada.... its become very unaffordable to live here. Good to all.
Thanks!
Maraming salamat po 🙏🙏

Try collab with tagalogkurt too. 👍🙂
The Philippines is the vloggers capital of the world
🎉
I'm sorry I don't believe in this guy, he just want the views for his channel, I think he don't like the Philippines he just want views, because the Philippines is the capital of foreign vlogger
What I Dislike about him, is that he is perverted to Filipina woman, he always tries to put them in a place where they seem like gold diggers searching for 'foreigner" or he is searching for answers of them who confirm the stereotype.. and even ask to them if they also would date him as well. people like him give bad names for foreigners exactly what Jared don't like or at least thats what he said.
yeah. nakatira yan dito pero bastos binabastos ang Pilipinas at mga Filipina.
The "interviewer" got interviewed
great interview . very interesting and informative
Cebu is the best city in the philippines.
"Alex" is an afghan. Don't lie to your subscribers.
You and Ovela are here in Manila. You two should meet.😂
They have met. They were both interviewed by Calvin Castiel.
Even though I agree, unsure which part of the Philippines both of them are in currently. It can be a long trip, if someone traveled economically.
Because of foreigners and the family of pinay or pinoy their foreigner wife or husband rather and the foreigners that doesn't have or wanted to learn tagalog or filipino is getting weaker and weaker until the tagalog or filipino language and other languages or dialects of the Philippines is slowly vanished
nice ka
With all due respect to Alex, I just hope all content creators vlogging about the Philippines would produce more WHOLESOME content like Jared here . Yes, we welcome vloggers to the Philippines, but anyone who comes up with a material that encourages inviting (s)expats and old foreign Westerners, promote s*x tourism and talk about Filipina women as if they are commodities --- should be banned and deported in this country. several times, I would come across that channel and sometimes, the way they would talk about Filipino women disgusts me.
Just my POV as a concerned Filipino....
Yes I agree. I didnt expect Jared to interview this Alex guy, if its even his real name? the fact he is Afghan.
@@Ama94947 im not sure. probably bec he is also a Canadian (and Afghan). No respect when he talks to his subscribers live. Ang liit ng tingin nila sa Pilipinas at sa mga Filipina. Parang bu/ga/w ng mga matatandang Westerners na m@niac
wala namang ago upload
I’ve always watched his channel LIVING ABROAD. This is a very good coversation between you two. Foreigners have nothing but kind words about the Filipinos. I’m here in California and I’m working with all different nationalities like Asian, Hispanic, African, Mexicans and the Americans. Filipinos here at my work is about 10% of the total number of employees. I noticed how Filipinos here are more aggressive and really hard- working, as well as the Mexican and other Asians such as the Koreans and Cambodians. Despite the fact that we’ve been here for years and most of us are US Citizens we don’t get treated as their equal and people from here are not all welcoming and I feel like I’m discriminated. Some are mean and unpleasant to work with. That’s just the way I feel. It’s very different, maybe because I expected them to be nice after all. I think it’s true only in the Philippines you will be welcomed and experience the warm hospitality of the people.
during Covid, in Turkey, tourists are allowed to go out but not the citizens??? make that make sense. the "virus" doesn't see race or skin color. it's a ridiculous rule.
Canadians like americans prefer privacy while filipinos enjoy in the company of friends relatives .
Alex is one of my fave foreigner interviewer in the Philippines!!
Glad you had him in this collab!
I don't think Alex Filipino subscribers are only 30-40%, maybe 60-70%..
in Alex' case kasi puro matatandang dirty old men ang subscribers nyan
Well said @livingabroad
Pumunta ka pa Ng pilipinas kung Sila lang din Ang kakausapin mo dapat mga Pinoy na direktavmaki pag usap para Malaman mo Yung reaction nila
