- Switzerland and France are deeply interconnected culturally and economically. Both are Schengen member states, even though Switzerland is not part of the EU and Eurozone. Even though there is a free flow of personal movement, border posts are still necessary as trade and movement of goods has to be monitored. Today, I will take you on a drive around Geneva (CH), Ferney Voltaire (FR), Collex Bossey (CH) and Divonne (FR) and we will explore the region's history and culture a little bit.

Another awesome vlog, and this was particularly very special to me because I Love France too. That is why I keep going back to France every year and this time of the year when its off season for people like us who are on Motorbike, driving through the streets of France with you has been very refreshing. I crossed Alps through Route de Grande Alps some years ago, I scraped through Geneva along the lake as I was gonna spend the night in Thonon Les Baines. That trip still stands as one one best ever and now that you have taken us through Geneva, I think next time I will spend half a day in Geneva too. All the best for your Pakistan tour, there is no shortage of places and stuff to show and I am really looking forward to how you will narrate places and events live as they unfold in front of you.

Interesting. The only thing that needs a little improvement is the car camera that shows a dark picture of the roads and views ahead despite the day being sunny. While I visited Europe back. In 1997 Switzerland and even Italy were not part of Schengen. I felt really ashamed when being the only Pakistan on that but tour I was asked to get down at the German Swiss border to show my return ticket (from my point of landing in Europe to back home) which was stuck in my hold luggage stuck under a few other bags. The reason for this checking was that our Italian driver Mario (probably) said something wrong to the Swiss border police. As a result of which our bus was delayed while on route to Lucerne.
True, Switzerland only joined Schengen around 2009-10. As for the video being dark, I put ND filters on the camera to cut glare, and that usually darkens the footage.
Yeah watching it again now on bigger screen of laptop. It's still greyish due to the anti glare filters as well as the naturally darker post winter setting, probably.

Roads, garages, parking spaces, all are tiny. Fuel is twice as expensive as in North America. There are huge gas guzzler taxes. All of them combined, and people prefer smaller cars
Some of UN staff lives in France and travel everyday to come for work. Aik hamaray borders hain. I hate the flag lowering ceremony at Wahga and other borders. Those can be done in a different way. Alas.
