Dude This works, And I have found a better way to enhance this.
First when you kill them , don't pick up the loot, which will make it harder to move. The drop items dont vanish, You may think I am trolling so save.
Second like it said in the vid don't kill the boss.
Third, After killing them all, you actually don't need to fast travel, In the castle there a portal you get doing a witcher gear hunt at that place. The portal is still open even after the quest is done.
Fourth, Just walk into the portal and back the guards refresh themselves and also your loot is still on the floor.
Lastly, Keep killing waves until you get tired and you can start picking up your loot. Saves you the time of fast traveling & selling.
I just tried it. But I don't wanna post before they patch it lol.

Tested and approved. Just a note: Dont do to many runs to pick up the items, cause they will bug on the ground and u cant take a few loots... i used to do 15 runs before take the loot.
If you pick all the items up after 15 run you can drop them all in one bag near the fast travel post and it wont disappear idky but it wont i actually forgot a bag and came back days later (real time and had been playing everyday) and it was still there i had hundred of swords and maces and all i did was sell at the shop and wait for more money for the vendor its time consuming but i had a couple hundred thousand crowns in 5 hours ish

Tip: when you're over encumbered attack then roll, it's faster, and when you reach town call roach it's faster, time is money

02.20.21 this is the best gold/xp farming technique out of all other UA-cam videos I tried so far. Reset of monster nest has been patched it seems like. Farmed from lvl 40 to 48 with this. Thanks!
I would also suggest to drop the swords outside the castle after every run and go back to kill the bandits again. This means you'll only have to go to the merchant once
You have to go to the merchant or fast travel somewhere anyway to reset the bandits, so makes sense just to travel to him to drop it all off
For those latecomers to the game like me, it didn't need to be NG+ and still works in version 1.62
The merchant ran out of money for me but I assume it gets replenished after awhile.
Usually 5 days of meditation after you leave the store does replenish some of the stores crowns

If you use the money for the various Grandmaster gears, which I presume most people are doing, you will be paying just as much as you are selling, so it wont really make a difference

Just wanted to add that this is still worth it even if you aren't on NG+. I only managed to get through a few of them(underleveled) but I made a cool 3000 gold from my 2 minute run. Definitely looking forward to coming back when I'm a higher level and seeing just how much I can get.

I once dumped like 750units of weight from my stash to Geralt. Then Sold then to Lafarge, and other 2 Armorer and Blacksmith nearby, then went to corvo bianco, sold to those Armorer and Blacksmith too. Then Meditated for a round the clock,I mean 24 days and then repeated the 5 Armorer/Blacksmiths. Took me about half an hour and I made more than 60-70k...
Now I'm rich.

M8! Thank you so much! This is the best and most fun way to gain more XP and gold. What I do is just kill one or two bandits on horses outside of the castle and then slaughter the ones on the ground floor and sell all the items, since the bandits on the courtyard are a bit too challenging for me and I did die once.
God, your voice is so soothing! Most Witcher 3 money farming guides I've found so far were mediocre at best, with an ear piercing voice.

Still works in patch 1.31 for people just wanting to know that, but why start with nearly 100 carry weight? If you are only going to be moving back and fourth between the base and the vendor, then put everything except your equipped gear in your chest. Also sell the junk to general store who sells paintings, next to grand-master armourer because some of the junk gets heavier than swords quite quickly, like the skins, although the armourer gives a better price on jewellery than the general store.
do you get higher level grandmaster gear in ng+ ? also, why dont you use the manticore gear like you did in your build video? ursine looks sick tho, thats why i am asking

One thing you told wrong: Don't sell your weapons to the Grandmaster (he doesn't pay more than other blacksmiths in Toussaint for swords. Sell them to the blacksmith in Tourney Grounds and there is another one near Nilfguardian Embassy, but he doesn't have much coin. Blacksmiths pay slightly more for swords. But non-sword weapons(maces and blackjacks) should be sold to armorers as they pay more for it as compared to blacksmiths.
You get 19-20 swords and about 4-5 maces each run, it doesn't make a huge difference but if you keep doing it, it will make a huge difference.
Yeah but your gonna have to make all your grandmaster armor anyways which he will hold on to all your coin, selling to him is an easy way to get all your money back from making the armors basically making the armor for free.
I noticed that sometimes backup comes from below but only once every 20 times or so.

I'm having trouble with lag when opening the blacksmith's shop because of the excessive amount of items. Does anyone know how to make them disappear?
you can sell them to the other shops, there is a master smith and master armorer near the grandmaster shop in beauclair.

I'm clearing it with a level 26. I got killed in one hit a couple times but I'm still chippin' away at the enemies making decent coin.

I made this comment when I was lvl 40 and those upper enemies were 45 so it took me more time. I have also improved some things now and it's crazy
Can only be done if you're a high enough level bandits on the second story are 8 levels higher which is a huge difference even on just the story. My gear isn't bad either, almost have full grandmaster. Definitely an effective method though if you're high enough lvl.
Can you still do this if you picked up the knight for hire quest???

Don't even need to fast travel or use the portal. Just igni the signal fire and reinforcements will come running.
They're patching the infinite money exploit with the blacksmith and the beehive so this is good to know. Legit is always good.

Hello witcher community. I am new to the so I have a question : i noticed that after your sell your loot to these people (they have their own limited bank), their money will run out at some point. Which makes the process of selling loot to a single person hard/limited. How do you get around this?

Will this work in a regular game that is not ng+?
You can use your horse if you are encumbered. Apparently, it doesn't effect when your on your horse.
How often does the armorer's gold restock?
Story and sword first play through, lvl around 55-50 gave me 200-300 crowns a sword. NG+ on Death march i sell each sword and mace for 800-900 crowns, i legit made 20k on 1 run
i don't know why or how but the amount of xp you get with this method is absurd
Damn I cleared that area already and now I just have 3000 crowns after crafting all grandmaster gear except griffin I want more money to get some runes before starting NG+ is there any other way?
I haven't updated to the last patch but I'm quite certain there is a money farming technique that still might work. But it requires a fair bit of time.
1. Fine a monster nest in Blood & wine (as they have most loot)
2. Destroy the nest loot only valuables like rune/glyph/jewelry & leave the rest
3. Then meditate right in front of the nest for 4-5 days, the nest should replenish its supply.
4. Sometimes, when you kill the plant nests they regrow multiple times when you meditate but eventually stop regrowing after you keep killing them and meditating
5. DON'T LEAVE THE AREA until you have completed grinding the nest to your full satisfaction, the reason for this is once you go very far from the destroyed nest or fast travel, you won't be able loot that nest again, even if it was fully stocked the first time you destroyed it once you leave the area and come back the nest can't be looted. Also the Touissant nests for some reason don't respawn like the nekkers & drowners nests in other regions so once a nest is destroyed its probably gone forever.
6. Also after destroying the game don't save & leave the game. Leaving the game has same effect as fast travel & when you come back to the game you won't be able to loot the destroyed nest.
7. Finally once you have looted each of the nests to your heart's content go back to the Touissant Grand Master Armourer, since you said you have already crafted multiple sets with him, he should probably have most of your money and you can get all of it back by selling him runes, glyphs & jewel items you found in the nests.
8. A quick run through would be to save the game, destroy and loot a nest 3-4 nests, take a not of which nest gives what, go to the GM Armourer & find out the selling price for each item you looted. Figure out which nest gives you the most cash for the 1-2 items valuable item it drops. Then divide the total cash GM Armorer has by this valuable item amount to figure out how many times you need to repeat the grinding cycle near the nest. Then restart your saved game just before you looted all the nest and go to the nest with the highest loot value, keep looting until you have enough to bankrupt the GM Armouer, sell him everything & then create your Griffin armour then go to another nest to get your money back for crafting that armour too.
9. After this figure out how much money is residing in all armourers & blacksmiths in Touissant & other regions and repeat the process until you have bankrupted all of them.
I just downloaded the DLC's and I'm starting off with HOS..just curious which boss should we not kill when entering that area?

In the same exact ruins there is the gang leader. He is the only one with a name and im pretty sure the boss bar appears on the top of the screen while facing him as well

VideoGameThemes, I haven't heard of it being patched. It is after all not exploiting a bug or anything. It's just farming enemies that respawn if you don't kill them all and finish the quest.
Yeah, i know. I just feel like every time some kind of way to farm fast gold/XP is discovered CDPR patches it, even if it isn't a glitch. Like for example that empty bottle guy in novigrad. I mean they added him themselves and then when people started making use of him to sell stuff they just patched it so he would buy for those low ass prices every other vendor buys for.

Downside. After selling so much loot it takes forever for the merchants inventory to load up and longer to sell items. A bit annoying. Anyone know if their inventory resets any time?
Some people say meditating for 7 days (away from the seller most preferably) will reset it. Some also say fast traveling between maps (toussaint to velen and then back to toussaint) also resets them
Does the sword you were using have lifesteal? If so what is it and how do I get my hands on one
It's the Ekimmara decoction. Gives you health back based on the damage you do. If you're putting out good damage, you'll rarely drop below half your health.
Best combined with the Troll decoction that gives you constant health regen and you've suddenly got all this extra health. Then slap on an Invigoration enchantment on your sword and your extra health regen will begin converting into damage.
Found 1 good location for cow hide farming. 1.skellige map 2.svorlag village 3.near inn u may see 2 cows in small area.u can kill and loot hide.its so close u literally don't have to move. And inn is also 30 steps close .Can sell immediately at inn.

Do you mean painful as in difficult? It depends on your level and difficulty. If you get the new mutagens unlocked in Blood and Wine before you do a NG+, I think it carries over, which means things will be a lot easier.

Oh, um. You might find yourself just rushing through and not enjoying it. I thought the increased difficulty and the improved items to be fun. You might find it a drag, rushing to get to the new dlc content. I, however, started NG+ RIGHT after beating the regular game, and I did all the trophies, so I was ready to move on to something new.
How do you keep returning to sell all that stuff to blacksmiths and armorers? Mine will be sold out the entire time even after some solid meditating. Do I have to meditate for 24 hours for them to regenerate more than 10k money?

If you have best saddle bags and use sting back perk and fiend decorations you can get 250 inventory that’s what I do the a pick up till I hit 240-245 then a farm again and get over 345 inventory over buredon then I sell my gear to gran master

Works on next gen but it is a bit harder. Don't attempt below level 40 and you'll be dodging a lot since healing for nerfed. Pinned comment also works still

Hey @Ditronus I have a question, did you do the White Orchard money glitch with the Dwarf? If so you must have had a large bank account by the time Patch 1.23 came along. When you updated to patch 1.23 did you large bank balance get nerfed by any chance by CDPR? or was it untouched?

Absolutely it should. NG+ simply bumps the level on everything and lets you start with previous equipment, points, etc. Also, if you temporarily turn the difficulty down to story mode, you can farm some decent xp while you're doing this. Only if you want, don't have to or anything.
The Grandmaster dude has 60K crowns. That's the money I gave him to craft the gear. The new components in the expansion are expensive. But I use a method and I thin all of them know this. The Pang of Conscience glitch. Just have to collect 66 of them and sell them and get my gear crafted. It's slow and boring but it's the method that I'm comfortable with.

North of Mon Crane Castle,
North east of Basane Farm, there's a small lake,
east of that lake is a monster nest that homes a high level wyvern.
This Wyvern has a high change of dropping a Wyvern Hide
After you kill him, rest for an hour, and he will spawn again.
A full stack (100) of hides values at 18,000 crowns
you'll also always get a dragon scale
A full stack of scales values at 8,000 crowns.
You'll get the most from selling them to herbalist (the herbalist right next to the grandmaster smith buys them for about 70% of there worth), but the problem with that is that she has very little money.
So you're better off selling it to armorers

Armagedon9876 Hm I don't think there's much you can do. If you are on PC, there might be a mod that removes the level cap, if not, you'll have to hope for cdpr to address this.
Armagedon9876 Maybe you should report it to them, I'm currently lvl 54 and I didn't grind or use exploits and I'm still going to run into this issue in NG+ with some items. So it can be considered as a bug
How do you get the blacksmith to replenish all of his money so he can continue to buy the swords off of you?
I think they restock their gold every 5 days. I recommend selling to the grandmaster crafter or Runewright a you'll be dumping the most money at those npcs to get your set pieces and enchants made.

Unfortunately, on lower difficulties, I usually only get about 5 or 6 common/grey weapons when I do this. Still worth 250(ish) each, so not bad I suppose. I guess NG+ is required to really make good cash.

Yousii Marty it's not a glitch so yeah it will always work. I actually liberated all the hans bases without realising the potential of all the respawning bandits but to liberate a hans base you have to liberate all of it. Thus if you kill all the bandits and leave the boss the whole bandits numbers will regenerate the next time you enter it. It will always work.

Just go to kher mohren and there's a chest there that everytime you save and load the game it replenishes that chest.

A tip to beat these guy is to bottle neck them so they can't surround you, I made short work of them at the caves this way, I rolled past them all of the way to the gate right before the boss and then mowed them down.

I think it can reset after a bit, but the main reason I say him or the RuneWright is because they are usually where you've dumped money into increasing the enchantment level or craft grandmaster items. I just buy all the mats I need to craft stuff, which gives them money, and then I sell stuff to get more back. There's also other merchants nearby that have 9k or so gold on hand.
I think the 3 archer spawn is faster. I between 40-50k every 20 minutes. It's super easy and you farm them just like pigs or cows

Is this method also viable in NG or is NG+ only?
It's surely viable in both, but expect the gold to be less in non-ng+. The gold offered for items increases on their levels, and the item's level increases by the mob's level who drops it. So expect less gold through this method, but it's surely the best method in the game as far as I know. Look at a 10-20 minute contract, for instance, (which there is a finite amount, too) that gives 200-800 gold and compare that with one item drop that sells for probably 200 gold in non-ng+. Give it a try and let me know how it is on non-ng+

For me - no. They resp 2-3 times, but then only dogs resp.
Ivan Pupkin I haven't updated to Patch 1.23 yet. Could you try a glitch on your Witcher that was working till 1.21.
1. Find a monster nest, kill the monster & blow up the nest
2. Loot only a couple items (leaving atleast 1 item behind in the nest.)
3. Meditate 3-4 days straight while standing right next to the destroy & partially-looted nest.
4. Check if the nest has replenished the looted item, if so loot again, meditate 4-5 days & repeat this process.
5. If loot didn't return meditate additional 2 days and check
6. Don't leave the area & don't save the game and leave the game and come back after destroying the nest (or the loot disappears even if you never looted the destroyed nest)
7. Please try this item duplication glitch in Touissaint & in Velen/skellige & let me know if you were able to infinitely item glitch the runes/glyphs/jewels items in these nest in v1.23.
Since, the dwarf money glitch was major glitch until v1.21 & the above castle slaughter farming was a major money glitch v1.22. I have a gut feeling CDPR wouldn't have had the time to patch this minor glitch above in patch v1.23, as they had to patch the dwarf & castle glitches first.
