Tieren was easily the best-looking S1 earth suit for me, not to mention it's a pretty good bulky zaku clone. Shame it wasn't really shown as impressive and instead Flags got all the spotlight.
Tieren move slowly because of its height and weight. And since its mass produce in anno domini timeline every mobile suit at its own realistic Like plasma sonic blade, weight and speed of Flag mobile suit and many more.
The 1/100 scale Tieren is a really amazing kit, builds more like a tank kit than a Gundam model, very unique. The 1/100 Overflag is similar in how it is very much like an aircraft model. This guy looks great, I wonder if it’s been reprinted recently, I imagine an original run is going to be hard to get ahold of these days!
I picked this kit up last year and it has the blue Bandai emblem on the box (unfortunately it's still in my build back log), so it was a recent release, but this kit sold very quickly, I've trying to get the 1/100 Ground type and the HG Space type but it always sold out too, the build does look very close to the HG Tieren Taozi which I was able to build.
1/100 version is the most interesting. Actually give 1/100 crew and pilot figures and featuring open cockpit hatch. Even the 1/100 Overflag is so good. They even give details underside the wing and give landing gears for making flight mode in landing position.
I like this thing a lot. It leans into the walking tank aesthetic more than any other ms. I love really distinct designs like this because they contrast the Gundams so well. I would really like to see the 1/100 honestly, the extra detail looked interesting.
I'm hoping after Virtue and maybe Exia 2.0, they'll give us a few more grunt and enemy MG from 00. Tieren is a really cool design, and I feel like they could make a badass MG out of it and also have plenty of P-Bandai variants. I'd really like to see MG Flag too.
I had one of these, until my cousin though it was funny to pull it apart and hide the parts. Now it's in my box of scrap cause it looks bad with the missing parts.
The 1/100 is much nicer as you guessed. I still wish they had made an HG Anf. It appeared so many times in the show thanks to being in that one flashback.
I didn't think this grunt MS from 00 had better articulation than the gundams in season 1 Ab crunch, side splits, etc. The 1 point articulation in the arms, I could cut some slack; after all, it's a late 2000s kit. Fantastic review as always, zaku!
Wait you're talking about this one line that could apply in real-world situations that if I used a proper word for it his channel would be demonetized forever?
I love the hg taozi so much and I've been looking for other tieren suits since I got my taozi. Kinda bought the taozi just because it's the only kit I could buy with the change I got when I bought a few MGs in the mall and I saw it and I was like hey it's pink but hey it's still from 00 and boi I fell in love with it and the color too kinda got interesting suddenly for me after I built it up.
Built both the hg and master, I like both. Have a love for a good grunt suit, and if would picture a real would suit would look a lot like this. As a side note the master grade was the first gunpla ever got.
Wide lad....I've always loved the Tieren's design, the 00 grunt suits are all fantastic and so unique! It really is a shame about those stickers, but it's what you'd expect from so long ago.
This was my first kit that introduced me to gunpla! A nice one to start with to practice nub marks, and not as much panel lining compared to other kits. Still a nice one even when i look back at it 👍
A few years ago I was in Tokyo, trying to find this kit. Could not find it anywhere, only a few space types were available. I ended up finding a unbuilt second-hand one at Mandarake, without manual. The checkout staff liked my choice, turns out he’s a big grunt suit and MSV fan. I also have the 1/100 in backlog, might build that soon
This kit would be great practice for painting. I’m running through the Titans hg line starting right now. My god I wish more people knew what a good hobby this can be.
I haven't built this one yet. I love the gnx though. I'd love for bandai to give the revive love to some of the 00 kits. Imagine a revive of all the leads and the gnx series. Thatd be awesome
Is orange an expensive color to make molds in? Cuz I've noticed that if the main kit isn't orange, there's usually no attempt making that color molded separately. Even the HG Kyrios, which is orange, had some orange parts just in white. And there's not even an orange Gundam Marker to do a amateurs job at painting. Why do they hate orange so much?
I had one of these.I spray painted it all black, coated it in sugar and salt and buried it in my yard… two weeks later dug it up and stuck it in a big wasp nest. They made their home around his eyes… ten days later I pulled him out of the wasp nest, tied a string around his leg and swung him around my head very vigorously…the figure was making a humming noise as it cut circles in the air. But then the string broke at its weakest point and the figure went flying into the woods where it will rest for another seven days before I go get it again
The 1/100 scale very different from the 1/144 scale. I have so much fun assemble it. It has unique texture feeling, like you would see on a real tank. And no sticker other than its mono eye
I have the 1:100 version of this, and it is awesome!!! I have this in my backlog, but I want to get my hands of the space type. Question, is there a 1:100 space type for this?
It seems like the tieren inspired the look of a mecha from armored core 5. lol The hg00 line introduced the action base 2 and the butthole connection as well
IBO kits especially the grunt types are hard to find where I am.. I have most of the Tekkadan and Gjallarhorn Custom kits but the mass produced MS still eludes me..
Same here. I only ever see the HG Barbatos, Astaroth and a couple of option sets. Months ago, I was lucky to grab the 1/100 Vidar when it got a brief re-issue.
If you’re talking about the 2006 HGUC Gelgoog/Gelgoog Cannon, I think it’s a good kit. It does show its age but the kit does what it needs to do really well and the only issue I have with it is the 90 degree elbow bend. A solid 7.5/10 in my opinion
This was my very first Gundam kit, when I got into building 3 years ago. I've been wanting the 1/100 version, but it's not available. I wish Bandai would do more runs of it.
Ah, so Bandai’s inability to keep up with consumer demand do to COVID lockdown boredom has caught up to big Gunpla UA-camrs. Really sucks that us Gunpla hobbyists are having to go through this. (Referring to the start of the video)
@@chaious1040 is the head movable btw? The Gundam Breaker mobile game has it as a separate movable part but I could have sworn its integrated like any Tieren.

And then the GNX after the flags
Serge in the Tieren almost squashed the Gundam Exia's head in their encounter. So I think it still did well
These thing are outdated even by 00 standard, its like the earliest MS(?) That was ever built in 00 era
@@somechinesedude5466 Fanton's and by extension Anf's are older I believe.

Yes,Tieren. Like the chonky and Front Mission Wanzer lookalike design.

Tieren!!!!! I got this kit in USA Gundam Store!
Seeing Bandai still making the ACD Gundam because of the Blue Bandai Logo gives me hope I can find one
"the knife kinda looks like the weapon used by the mass-produced EVA in NGE"
me: OMG how to unsee lol
Now I wanna make a Gouf version of this with that exact weapon.
that chest/shoulder articulation made me want to have one

I love how clunky and low tech the HRL Mobile Suits look
I should get one and paint it up like a tank, it's such a cool design.

this kit along with the flags need more of that hg army builder treatment with better color accuracy

A real MG of this would be 💯, those shoulders/chest is so awesome and just so different from any other kind of mobile suit
From where I am, the most difficult Tieren kit to find is the HG Tieren Taozi

the Tieren is a perfect definition of the "we already have a Zaku at home" meme, lol.

Tieren is the most realistic mobile suit.
They basically took a Zaku II and said "What if this was an Armored Core 5 AC?" and I love it so much because of that.
Tieren is the most realistic grunt from S1, love it!
Its a shame we didn't get the cannon version for this
This mobile suit has the feeling of mechwarrior
