- What's going on everybody, today im talking about what i think are the top 5 best figure companies around as of now. Theres so many figure companies out there that collectors have lots of options. But who makes the best type of figures?

What I love about NECA is that they make affordable products and they still put so much effort into paint, sculpt and even the box art. They also get specific licenses for movies that other companies don't.
That Homelander convinces me otherwise.

Neca for value for money.
Mafex for sculpt accuracy.
Revoltech for articulation.
Mezco for amount of accessories and if you want a change with cloth goods.
Interesting! I don't collect any figures from these companies but that's one of the main reasons why I love watching your Channel! I like watching other collectors collect what I don't collect.

Great video!. I can see why you picked the list the way you did… I’m mostly an SHF collector, but I do like other lines. I have some oddball single Figures here and there and I don’t know if I have five I could put in this list, but I’m definitely interested in storm collectibles now.
I agree with what you said about Mafex they really have gotten better, and they are giving you a ton of accessories which is kind of my jam.

A suggestion would be to rank them on different criteria.
Price, character accuracy, possibility and accessories, product range.
You should do a video on what to do when you have a break....fixes, replacement parts, etc. That would be helpful to all us collectors. Great video. Keep up the great content.
Sculpture art Mafex, Neca for dark gloomy under world & Mcfarlane for commercial taste crowd.
the appeal of Mezco is they strive to be the one12 equivalent of hot toys at 1/3 the price. I like that that the soft goods preserve the aesthetic, making for great shelf presence... When it comes to articulation they can be limited, but compared to some hot toys with soft goods, they might as well be marvel legends.
In my opinion, mayfex is a garbage company. First of all, it takes them years to actually release a figure. For example, the iron spider. SHF came out with a iron spider first and released it around the time of the movie (infinity war). It was not movie accurate. Mayfex released an iron spider nearly a year later. Nearly 90% of every review on that figure showed how the waldos broke during the review. Nearly all of those reviewers gave them a pass for poor quality accessories (the main accessory) on a figure that released nearly a year after everyone released all of the infinity war toys and moved on to something else. During that year, they didn't test everything out to make sure it works without breaking?Fast forward to a couple years ago SHF and mayfex redid the iron spider. Can anyone really say that the mayfex redo is better than the SHF? I can go on with may figures that are made with poorly tolerance joints, bad paint, etc. Is SHF or any of those companies great, nope. Are all of them better than, in my opinion, yes. My top five in no order:
SHF/SHMA
Figma
Neca
Super 7
Mezco
Mezco is probably my favorite. I definitely get the most excited to get one and open it up and add it to the collection. Aside from that I currently collect shf dbz, marvel legends, sw black series (just mandolorian), mcfarlane DC, and other various stuff. Hard to pick favorites though, they all have pros and cons. I like neca but they just don't have any licenses I'm that interested in collecting currently
I love SHF but I have to admit that their DBZ line has taken a hit in quality. Their latest figures have came out with rotten joints, Bardock, Jiece and Recoome are some examples.
The bardock was pretty decent

Marvel Legends is not the company but I get what you mean. Same company makes Star Wars Black Series (better than ML imo) and GI JOE Classified series figs

@@rodristrongest Recently? Maybe, but their prices were really good and they deliver a lot for the $20-30 range. I see them as the better version of Mcfarlane. They got good sculpts and painting like mcfarlane does but also great articulation. What I don’t like is the fact that all their predator figures have one leg bigger than the other so they could never stand perfectly straight up, always needs to be posed crouching slightly. I also hear about their QC issues a lot but never encountered them myself. Probably why I think highly of them

Honorable mentions are Bandai and Hasbro because their SHM line is not on its best shape right now and some of their SHF are ok at best and Hasbro because they cut a lot of corners
Just started a new journey in toy collecting end of last year. So far my favorite company is Mattel. Love the MOTU figure line and possible bias since I do collect and customize Barbie as well. Do agree with Storm Collectibles as your number one. I have two figs from them and they are easily some of my favorite toys to pose and play with.
BRO NECA IS PROBABLY THE BEST TOY BRAND AND NOTHING CAN TOP IT.

I came here thinking Mezco must be top of the line (considering they’re like $100+ per figure) for only to realize they’re the 5th. Which means there are a lot of small companies making figures. I’ve only ever bought NECA for my son because well I think $35-$50 is too expensive, but then again I’ve spent $500 on pocket knives. So….its what you like.
(Only have two faves) but for me Neca takes it hands down, simply for the licenses they acquire and likenesses they're able to pull off at a small scale. Articulation and qc have been a constant problem but with their past couple releases those issues seem to have been fixed? Have to see when another predator comes out..how those hip joints are lol
Secondly would be Storm, while still a relatively new company, their figures ARE great but they've made several missteps.. (Not learning from past issues is one of them) also the soft torso used for EVERY figure regardless of range of movement? Seems a bit redundant tbh. I think they'd be better off going full hard plastic and sacrificing what little range they "may" lose in the process.. Because their older figs are already showing signs of degradation with the soft rubber. My only real gripe with Storm.
When I saw the NECA logo on the thumbnail and you said it was based on posing/articulation I was ready to post an angry comment lol
(I have tons of Aliens/Predators/TMNTs so I’m not a NECA hater btw)

Thanks for the list. I do love my Yamaguchi figures even though I'm not an experienced collector or figure poser and i really enjoy figma and takara tomy but you make great points about all the companies you mentioned. It seems like it's a really great time to be a collector.
Great list, DD19! Dusty figures? I use the Model cleaning brush (anti-static) by Tamiya. Amazon and local hobby shops have them.

A lot of people are listing product lines and not toy companies.
1. Mafex (most improved and best recent releases)
2. Figma (Extremely satisfying joints but poor integraton)
3. Tie S.H F and Mezco (sh f has dipped in quality. Mezco is it's own beast with it's own proportion and scale, which makes it not play too well with others. Really pricy too.)
4. Revoltech (Dynamism, finicky to manipulate tho.)
5. Jazware/wicked cool toys (Their newest halo figures are some of the best game to real life translations I've seen. Phenomal sculpt and proportions but terrible paint apps. Plastic quality is subpar too, but with a little blackwash and matte spray they are some exceptional figures. You can feel the love and care for the ip by its creators in how many accessories and details they included for a $20 figure. E.g the beautiful visor, numerous hands and the seamless weapon holster/pegging system. Would rank higher but don't have enough and haven't seen what else they can do.
Honorable mention: Limtoys, but they haven't released enough figures to rank. Their venom snake is top notch but I suffered breaking at the horns already. Even with superglue the parts don't stay on well and is easy to break.

Nice video but too bad you speak about the posing qualities but never show it. You're just holding up the figures but don't show us how great some of them are by putting them in certain positions... Hope to see that in future reviews
Informative video 0 - I used it to start selecting companies to search for on websites. For example, Amiami.
On that note, do you have any preferred fig searching/ordering/shipping websites you use? I like Amiami because they tend to have figs in stock that other big sites are sold out of. However, Amiami also only shows 20 results per page, max, and that's rather tedious >.
Indians are dead by listening the price of mafex , sh figuarts , revoltech and Mezco figures .
Great list Great review and good to know. I'm partial to mafex, at 1st thought they look crappy and break super easy but ever since comic hush superman I love those guys there 50 50 with the movie stuff but so on point with the comic versions I can't get enough but I agree I hope they get better stronger joints because there really awesome figures crazy on prices though but Great figures...don't care for mezco I only have Frankenstein which they promise and didn't deliver and spock ...there nice figures but I feel there too dam expensive and worse they make you wait 5 to 10 years for a figure way worse than most companies... I don't have a horse with sh figuarts but I did buy the mandalorian luke skywalker which feels like hottoys quality to me and stunned me with the mark Hamill likeness which finally looks like him although it's an imitation of an imitation lol, I love that luke figure so much I might stick with starwars sh figuarts for my starwars fix and mafex for my comic superhero fix...my only gripe where's my comic judge dredd, Stallone dredd and urban dredd?

I have problems with sh figuarts but base line is they never fixed the one piece line it sucks, they killed the naruto line as well and that was a good line now theres no good naruto figure lines and the one piece line is expensive and out of scale
I think neca deserves alittle love . Yeah ppl piss on them and we know what to expect but we always know where we stand with them ...for the most part they deliver the time they say figures will be out and they pretty dam good with likeness and detailed and try to keep figures at a normal price until scalpers screw us... I love the b w universal monsters stuff,the bttf stuff is fun, was digging there godzilla stuff,alien predator is always fun and you know ppl go nuts for tmnt and yes I know there if on joints breaking but I do feel there trying to make figures accessible for collectors that can't shell out 100 200 bucks for a figure so props for them for that... the only figure that neca let me down on was Chris reeve superman I really love that figure and it was made so mess up always breaking I wish they go back to it and fix those issues but owell ...it's gone like the godzilla license.

Personally tamashii is quickly becoming my less favorite toy company, which is saying a lot because it was originally mafex. Because of their breakage & QC problems along with overcharging for figures but some of that seems to be fixed. But tamashii in the last few months has taken it to far with To many bandai-p releases at once & just being slow to release or being lazy & recoloring figures & just suddenly ending lines. Like it's been rumored they axed the star wars line along with the Naruto line, on top of not releasing anything new for the sailor moon line except slight reprints which frustrates me😠. I have never brought a mezco but I am highly considering it because of their recent tiger stripe wolverine. I honestly enjoyed neca mainly because of their horror figures. And I feel like Hasbro has really stepped it up lately with their marvel legends especially when it comes to giving X-Men fans more love because in the early Hasbro days it felt like X-Men legends are barley giving any love at all. And their some of their recent bafs are great like sugarman & strong guy. I haven't picked up a revoltech figure in a while but they are usually always fun to pose around & play with.
