As a BIG FAN of RedMagic Gaming Smartphone Series, I'd definitely buy it. Unfortunately, I can't afford any of it at the moment. If you already have the previous version, I think you should wait for the next generation.
I'm using the Redmagic 8s pro (Aurora 16/512) and the best thing about this phone is that you can play games on a screen while playing ANOTHER game on the phone. REDMAGIC really made a beast phone 🥂
Hi, tanks for the video. It helped me a lot. At the end, you said that if It was our first time gaming phone It wasnt the best. So which one do you recommand in the same price ?
If I were in the place of gaming smartphone designers, I would have opted for a single photo sensor but quality with optical stabilization, instead of several very average sensors and not optimized. Also, I would have positioned the USB-C and jack ports on the left side edge, not to mention adding SD card support. But above all, for smartphones with full screen like this Redmagic 8s Pro, I would have opted for a pop-up selfie camera instead of a selfie camera under the screen. I think that, beyond gamers, it would have attracted any other types of consumers 🤷🏽♂️ Ps: I'm not a fan of Android Stock, but I would have opted for Android Stock "à la" Motorola or Asus, it's less complicated than developing an overlay that will not necessarily please everyone, And I would have simply put a physical or software button to activate the gaming mode where I would have all my gaming and other software options integrated.
A popup camera is not great for a gaming phone. Manage your expectations. A popup camera literally occupies a big space inside the phone which can be used for more copper cooling instead, not to mention the literal fan inside the phone. For it's prices, it's a great choice. Camera is literally not a priority of a GAMING PHONE.
@@zechariahdln9558 In truth, a gaming smartphone is not a priority in a market where "standard" smartphones have become just as powerful and stable in game as a gaming smartphone, being better by far on all the points that define a good smartphone 🤷🏽♂️ Buying a Steam Deck that will last much longer at $400-$500 + a smartphone like an iPhone 13, S22, Pixel 7 or OnePlus 11 that will be updated for 4-5 years instead of 2 years as on this Redmagic, is a much better investment.
----popup camera affects IP rating ----and instead of putting the USB-C and 3.5 mm port on the left side edge, they could have just put it on the side like the ASUS ROG Phone ----they could have centered the cames on the back panel, although I'm not sure how that will affect the cooling performance of the phone PERSONAL OPINION= I think gaming phones should be like a rog ally or a switch oled with a sim & android os with bypass charging feature and a big cooler
