I thoroughly enjoyed this video. The salt fish sure elevates the dish to another level. My mother used to fry the salt fish crispy then add it to the pot at the end of the cooking process; in that way the textures in the dish were varied. I like your method as well. I understand when you said you did not like the dish when you were little; we used to think it was poor people food. As we mature, It is amazing how much more we appreciate our parents habits. Yummy dish!

And try this method of the saltfish Dale, after boiling and breaking up the saltfish, fry it in a bit of oil and let it turn golden brown and set aside and when the fig tackari 3/4 finish add the saltfish and see if u like that flavour too🤭. U will get that long time taste as we call it and it's perfect in sada fig without curry too! 💞
