Bhutan is one of the most appealing destinations for tourists/travelers. It has such an incredible diversity of attractions and so much to offer that people find themselves coming back time and again. You will enjoy authenticity, remoteness and a well-protected cultural heritage and natural environment. Welcome to Bhutan, 2017!
they are studying astronomy not astrology , astrology is the study of the 12 constellations that the sun follows to our perspective in a year. do not try me
I think in love with this country. The only negative carbon country in the world.they dont care about the money they care about the people and the happiness of the people and ofcourse the nature itself.
we planed to visit bhutan shortly in month of Feb 15, and very happy to see Bhutan Travel video guide. I am eger to see before visite the Bhutan. It is worth to visit Bhutan with culturel countary.
Paresh doshi Hi there! Did you end your trip to Bhutan? How do you feel about this country? Is it like this video? I'm from Vietnam but I really love Bhutan. Sadly, I have never been there before! Really wanna be there soon!!!!!!!!!!!
Nakadu Hi, all our guides are licensed English speaking guides and you will not have any difficulty in communication. Please visit www.specialbhutan.com or contact us at bhutangeminitours@gmail.com for your logistics arrangement.
So, let me get this straight... This country genuinely seems to care for its people in a multitude of ways, cares deeply about its wildlife, cares deeply about the environment that it's in, and has some of the most intriguing/nicest scenery I've ever seen in my life? And to top it off, they got a DRAGON on their flag?! Okay, that settles it. Where do I sign up to move to this place? I'm sold.
the fee to enter the country and the expense to get there hold some people back. Note: they have social issues just like everywhere else. But is is very pretty!
Having been there I can tell you its worth the effort! there are a number of discrepencies in the details they provide in the video but nothing that would effect your enjoyment of the trip!
Actually, Bhutan doesnt accept foreigners to settle in unless youre an acquaintance of the royal family 😂 even as a passing traveller, Bhutan visa is hard to attain, taking months to years and you have to have offical tour guide for making sure youre not over staying 😂
I had filled my papers for Bhutan a few years back...I have very low bloodpresure...So, I needed a medical paper, that Buthan is not responsible if anything would happen to me. At the time they did not have all the advanced medication. Yes, I could have taken stuff with me....but I thought better of it...so I did not go. I missed out, what a great country it must be.(Went to Mongolia, great place)
Bhutan is located in Southeast Asia? Quite discouraging when you hear a mistake during a start of a docu. East of South-Asia probably more correct, or just South Asia as it is always referred to.
A great video, wonderful country and people. I understand they need to be in the 21st century but hopefully the technology will benefit but not alter any of the people, land and culture. If it ain't broken it doesn't need fixing.
I just wish Bangladesh shared a border with Bhutan. A little bit of Bhutan and we are almost there and we would not have bear disgusting India and Burma as our neighbors. Greetings from a Bangladeshi.
This video gives very good description of Bhutan and its culture. But unfortunately, didn't give much detail of entry formalities for Indian nationals and foreigners.
+Tashi Dorji Like I said, it's interesting you didn't mention it until evidence was requested. (Just like I requested in my next comment for evidence about some flying tigresss.) Hopefully you can contact the video maker as well.
Tashi Dorji LOL! Now the truth comes out, with your insults and nastiness when I've done NOTHING of that nature to you. You know as well as I do that there's zero evidence for these things. There is evidence for Christ, who is the only way to salvation. I suggest that instead of insulting me for no reason, you investigate Christ. You will one day stand before Him.
It depends. The variety of Buddhism practiced in South Asia (mainly India, Nepal, and Bhutan) is vajra yang Buddhism which mixed Hinduism with Buddhist core beliefs. vajrayanists worship a pantheon of tantric deities representing various forces and often include Hindu deities themselves. Other Buddhist branches do worship deities as well. This can be seen in Southeast Asia (mainly Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, and Laos) where people worship the Buddha, Buddhist deities, Hindu deities and animist spirits. This is Theravada Buddhism. I hope this helps. Have a great day :D
+Yesica1993 well, I am a Christian, but I find the beliefs of others, especially those of my ethnic background to be particularly interesting. I'm talking about Asian Indians, Nepalese, and others
You are thinking of Zen Buddhism, which deals with control of one's mind as the essence of the spiritual journey. Most people don't consider having a Saint Christopher medallion around one's neck or a statuette of Mary, to whom one prays, to imply Christianity is polytheistic.
Abusayeed Haque My friend, no we are not a socialist country. We have a constitutional Monarchy system of governance and "No" we do not like to dance every other week.*(Although it is recommended that you do.)* Anyway jokes aside so, our nation's main source of income lies heavily on the export of renewable hydro power electricity. Then there is the tourism sector which also brings in a hefty income and employment to the nation. And also agricultural farming (both commercial and subsistance farming) which is very significant in our country. Besides that there are other numerous major and minor exports of raw materials, goods and services. These are some of the general source of income since I cannot list everything in here. Hope I cleared your doubt. Good day to you Sir!
Bhutan is a beautiful country but dramatically Bhutanese Government drive away southern Bhutanese (Nepali speaker) in 1990 with support of discriminating law of December 31,1958. This was against the "Tamrapatra" (Treaty singned by King of Bhutan Zabdrung Nawang Namgel and King Gorkha Ram Shah) in 1624. Nepali speaker southern Bhutanese were taken to Bhutan by Zabdrung Nawang Namgel signing "Tamrapatra" in 1624 with King Ram Shah. So, Bhutan Government charges $200.00 above per day for visiting this country to make sure that let not foreigner and exiled Bhutanese can make a visit to the country. Also its main policy is played by India because Bhutan Government's foreign policy, security policy and financial policy are look after by India. Bhutan runs these three main policies on the direction of India,
If can go through date back history of Bhutan 1624 you can find the reality. Further more if you can study the history of Bhutan you'll find that even Drukpas' were also not a real origin of Bhutan they were from Bhot or Tibet.
If you guys had stayed peacefully in OUR country, you guys might not have been driven out but no, you greedy people wanted to take over the country which never belonged to you so what other choices were there? 😒😉
oh my god, is there any video on youtube that doesnt have the likes of you smearing and defaming my country. The Nepali Craftsmen invited to bhutan during the time of ZHabdrung never stayed in southern Bhutan... They all lived and assimilated as Bhutanese in the North. You Guys came illigally into my country in the mid and late 20th century. Those who came before 1958, as a work force to construct and develop the country are still in the country as full citizenship with equal rights. So dont think that you have the right to say that you are a citizen just coz you settled there illigally... and demand that you have been violated.
+Kevin Nguyen Bhutan is a country which believes ( in a right way ) more on "Gross National Happiness" than Gross Domestic Product .. in simpler terms govt out there have banned any kind of industrialization just to save the beauty of Bhutan.Hence there only income source is from Tourism which comes to $250 for foreign tourists ( except india )
+Pratik Mohapatra only income source???? are you kidding me? We may be a small country but our incomes come just like any other countries by doing all sorts of export and import stuff. Tourism is ONE of the biggest contributor but not the only one. FYI
About 25:00 - what evidence is there of this flying tigress? We're talking about an entire country built around such supposed events. Where is the evidence? Surely, they wouldn't be building a culture upon falsehoods and fantasies. Right? Where's the evidence. They made the claim. They need to support it!
Very colourful religious belief system. A veritable cocktail of dragons and demons. But appears to be a far far cry from the simple teachings of Gautama. Anicca. Anicca. Anicca. Impermanent. Impermanent. Impermanent.
Let's hope they don't fall to the Chinese or adopting their way of life. I bet the Chinese think they live like dogs and cats because they stick to their own way.
We are in Bhutan now. So beautiful and we feel so lucky to be here. Hats off to your people and kings for going so far to carry on your traditions.
Bhutan is so cool it gives me chills!
The narrator could make a gas station bath room sound like a nice place to visit!
MilesDei gi
Do you think that Bhutan is like gas station bathroom or you are just praising narrator without context?
Excellent film .. !

The narrator said Bhutan is located in Southeast Asia. I think its more in the South Asia.
yes I agree La...and they said it was south of tibet :0 dont know who wrote the script but they need to check an atlas! google it even!!
Very peaceful place.. No pollution..

Which is the best time to travel Bhutan?
My dream country
how is bhutan located in south east asia?
I love it
This video gives very good description of Bhutan and its culture. But unfortunately, didn't give much detail of entry formalities for Indian nationals and foreigners.
Bhutan is a nice place
If one is going to make a film like this the producers really ought to make sure that the narrator can pronounce the names properly.
10:56 What statue that "miraculously appeared from nowhere"? What is the evidence that this statue appeared from nowhere?
+Tashi Dorji
Where is the evidence that it "miraculously appeared from nowhere"?
Tashi Dorji
" It didn't come out from nowhere. That was wrong."
Interesting how you say that now, AFTER I asked for evidence.
+Tashi Dorji
Like I said, it's interesting you didn't mention it until evidence was requested. (Just like I requested in my next comment for evidence about some flying tigresss.)
Hopefully you can contact the video maker as well.

+Yesica1993 😂 talking of evidence, do you really believe the earth only few 1000 years old?
very surprising to find a astronomy class here , perfect geographic area for it so I can see why
+Michelle Marina 'Astrology' not Astronomy, big difference...
+Gaysil Naubert it astronomy not astrology . astrology is the study of the zodiac signs

+runningstorm920 I dont see it!
Bill Smith wrong time stamp lol 0:19
lol I noticed the same thing
its a "Phallic Device" apparently its a sign of manliness and they're quite common
I want to visit Bhutan but it would cost around $300/day, excluding airfares, to travel there. So expensive for a simple lifestyle, country.
What do the people eat mostly?
we love rice cheese n potatoes....and also dumplings (momo)
Chilli and bhutanese-made cheese r the best one ever.
Is Bhutan a free visa country?
No...only free for bangladesh and india...others have to pay 250 per day...
About 3:56 - I thought Buddhism does not have a deity? To whom are these prayers being directed?
+Yesica1993 You re right it is an ethiet religion
It depends. Jace Nath Sounds super confusing and contradictory. Good thing Christ hears prayers!
+Yesica1993 well, I am a Christian, but I find the beliefs of others, especially those of my ethnic background to be particularly interesting. I'm talking about Asian Indians, Nepalese, and others

What is their source of incomes? How do they survive without working and only dancing in eth middle of the week? Is it a socialist country too?

LOL, KASHMIR IS BETWEEN 4 COUNTRIES = INDIA+PAKISTAN+CHINA+AFGANISTAN CAN U FATHOM???
koustav samadder Bhutan was never a part of India.
why would they charge $200 a day to visit bhutan?
+Kevin Nguyen if it was cheaper white people would be everywhere and their culture & environment would hence be ruined.

This country has Chinese influence in its architecture, religion, and customs, although racially resemble anything like the hindu.
It's actually tibetan influenced. not chinese. we don't resemble anything like the hindus.
How about saying Chiness andTibetan resembles Bhutan.
